1 ULB நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குப் பயந்து, உயிரோடிருக்கும் நாட்களெல்லாம், நீயும் உன் மகனும், மகளும், நான் உனக்கு கொடுக்கிற அவருடைய எல்லாக் கற்பனைகளையும் கட்டளைகளையும் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறதினால் உன் வாழ்நாட்கள் நீடித்திருப்பதற்கு, BSB BSB: These are the commandments and statutes and ordinances that the LORD your God has instructed me to teach you to follow in the land that you are about to enter and possess,
2 ULB நீங்கள் சொந்தமாக்கிக்கொள்ளப்போகிற தேசத்திலே கைக்கொள்வதற்காக, உங்களுக்குப் போதிக்கவேண்டும் என்று உங்களுடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் கற்பித்த கற்பனைகளும், கட்டளைகளும், நியாயங்களும் இவைகளே. BSB BSB: so that you and your children and grandchildren may fear the LORD your God all the days of your lives by keeping all His statutes and commandments that I give you, and so that your days may be prolonged.
3 ULB இஸ்ரவேலே, நீ நன்றாயிருப்பதற்கும், உன் முற்பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குச் சொன்னபடி, பாலும் தேனும் ஓடுகிற தேசத்தில் நீ மிகவும் பெருகுவதற்கும், அவைகளுக்குச் செவிகொடுத்து, அவைகளின்படி செய்யக் கவனமாயிரு. BSB BSB: Hear, O Israel, and be careful to observe them, so that you may prosper and multiply greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has promised you.
5 ULB நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்தில் உன் முழு இருதயத்தோடும், உன் முழு ஆத்துமாவோடும், உன் முழு பலத்தோடும் அன்புசெலுத்துவாயாக. BSB BSB: And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
6 ULB இன்று நான் உனக்குக் கட்டளையிடுகிற இந்த வார்த்தைகள் உன் இருதயத்தில் இருக்கக்கடவது. BSB BSB: These words I am commanding you today are to be upon your hearts.
7 ULB நீ அவைகளை உன் பிள்ளைகளுக்குத் தெளிவாகப் போதித்து, நீ உன் வீட்டில் உட்கார்ந்திருக்கிறபோதும், வழியில் நடக்கிறபோதும், படுத்துக்கொள்ளுகிறபோதும், எழுந்திருக்கிறபோதும் அவைகளைக்குறித்துப் பேசி, BSB BSB: And you shall teach them diligently to your children and speak of them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
8 ULB அவைகளை உன் கைகளிலே அடையாளமாகக் கட்டிக்கொள்வாயாக; அவைகள் உன் கண்களுக்கு நடுவே ஞாபகக்குறியாக இருக்கக்கடவது. BSB BSB: Tie them as reminders on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.
9 ULB அவைகளை உன் வீட்டு நிலைகளிலும், உன் வாசல்களிலும் எழுதுவாயாக. BSB BSB: Write them on the doorposts of your houses and on your gates.
10 ULB உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர், உனக்குக் கொடுப்பேன் என்று ஆபிரகாம், ஈசாக்கு, யாக்கோபு என்பவர்களாகிய உன் முற்பிதாக்களுக்கு வாக்களித்துக் கொடுத்த தேசத்தில் உன்னை நுழையச்செய்யும்போதும், நீ கட்டாத வசதியான பெரிய பட்டணங்களையும், BSB BSB: And when the LORD your God brings you into the land He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, that He would give you—a land with great and splendid cities that you did not build,
11 ULB நீ நிரப்பாத சகல நல்ல பொருட்களாலும் நிரம்பிய வீடுகளையும், நீ வெட்டாமல் ஏற்கனவே வெட்டப்பட்டிருக்கிற கிணறுகளையும், நீ நடாத திராட்சத்தோட்டங்களையும், ஒலிவத்தோப்புகளையும், அவர் உனக்குக் கொடுப்பதால், நீ சாப்பிட்டுத் திருப்தியாகும்போதும், BSB BSB: with houses full of every good thing with which you did not fill them, with wells that you did not dig, and with vineyards and olive groves that you did not plant—and when you eat and are satisfied,
12 ULB நீ அடிமைப்பட்டிருந்த வீடாகிய எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து உன்னைப் புறப்படச்செய்த கர்த்தரை மறக்காதபடி எச்சரிக்கையாயிரு. BSB BSB: be careful not to forget the LORD who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
13 ULB உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குப் பயந்து, அவருக்கே ஆராதனைசெய்து, அவருடைய நாமத்தைக்கொண்டே வாக்குறுதி கொடுப்பாயாக. BSB BSB: Fear the LORD your God, serve Him only, and take your oaths in His name.
14 ULB உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய கோபம் உன்மேல் ஏற்பட்டு, உன்னைப் பூமியில் வைக்காமல் அழித்துப்போடாதபடி, உங்களைச் சுற்றிலும் இருக்கிற மக்களின் தெய்வங்களாகிய அந்நிய தெய்வங்களைப் பின்பற்றாதிருப்பீர்களாக. BSB BSB: Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you.
15 ULB உன் நடுவிலிருக்கிற உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் எரிச்சலுள்ள தேவனாயிருக்கிறாரே. BSB BSB: For the LORD your God, who is among you, is a jealous God. Otherwise the anger of the LORD your God will be kindled against you, and He will wipe you off the face of the earth.
16 ULB நீங்கள் மாசாவிலே செய்ததுபோல, உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை சோதித்துப்பார்க்காதீர்கள். BSB BSB: Do not test the LORD your God as you tested Him at Massah.
17 ULB உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்குக் கற்பித்த அவருடைய கற்பனைகளையும், சாட்சிகளையும், கட்டளைகளையும் அக்கறையுடன் கைக்கொள்வீர்களாக. BSB BSB: You are to diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God and the testimonies and statutes He has given you.
18 ULB நீ நன்றாயிருக்கிறதற்கும், கர்த்தர் உன் முற்பிதாக்களுக்கு வாக்களித்துக் கொடுத்த நல்ல தேசத்தில் நீ நுழைந்து, அதைச் சொந்தமாக்கிக்கொள்வதற்கும், BSB BSB: Do what is right and good in the sight of the LORD, so that it may be well with you and that you may enter and possess the good land that the LORD your God swore to give your fathers,
19 ULB கர்த்தர் தாம் சொன்னபடி, உன் எதிரிகளையெல்லாம் உன் முகத்திற்கு முன்பாகத் துரத்திவிடுவதற்கும், நீ கர்த்தருடைய பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையும் நன்மையுமாக இருக்கிறதைச் செய்வாயாக. BSB BSB: driving out all your enemies before you, as the LORD has said.
20 ULB நாளைக்கு உன் மகன்: நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்ட இந்த சாட்சிகளும், கட்டளைகளும், நியாயங்களும் என்ன என்று உன்னிடத்தில் கேட்டால்; BSB BSB: In the future, when your son asks, “What is the meaning of the decrees and statutes and ordinances that the LORD our God has commanded you?”
21 ULB நீ உன் மகனை நோக்கி: நாங்கள் எகிப்திலே பார்வோனுக்கு அடிமைகளாக இருந்தோம்; கர்த்தர் பலத்த கையினாலே எங்களை எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்படச்செய்தார். BSB BSB: then you are to tell him, “We were slaves of Pharaoh in Egypt, but the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand.
22 ULB கர்த்தர் எங்கள் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக, எகிப்தின்மேலும் பார்வோன் மேலும் அவன் குடும்பம் அனைத்தின்மேலும் கொடிதான பெரிய அடையாளங்களையும் அற்புதங்களையும் செய்து, BSB BSB: Before our eyes the LORD inflicted great and devastating signs and wonders on Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on all his household.
23 ULB தாம் நம்முடைய முற்பிதாக்களுக்கு வாக்களித்துக் கொடுத்த தேசத்திற்கு எங்களை அழைத்துக்கொண்டுபோய், அதை நமக்குக் கொடுப்பதற்காக எங்களை அவ்விடத்திலிருந்து புறப்படச்செய்தார். BSB BSB: But He brought us out from there to lead us in and give us the land that He had sworn to our fathers.
24 ULB இந்நாளில் இருக்கிறதுபோல, நம்மை அவர் உயிரோடே காப்பதற்கும், எந்நாளும் நன்றாயிருக்கிறதற்கும், நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குப் பயந்து இந்த எல்லாக் கட்டளைகளின்படியேயும் செய்யக் கர்த்தர் நமக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டார். BSB BSB: And the LORD commanded us to observe all these statutes and to fear the LORD our God, that we may always be prosperous and preserved, as we are to this day.
25 ULB நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் நமக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே நாம் அவர் சமுகத்தில் இந்த எல்லாக் கட்டளைகளின்படியும் செய்யக் கவனமாயிருந்தால், நமக்கு நீதியாயிருக்கும் என்று சொல்வாயாக. BSB BSB: And if we are careful to observe every one of these commandments before the LORD our God, as He has commanded us, then that will be our righteousness.”
