8 ULB ஆனாலும் மனிதரில் ஒரு ஆவியுண்டு; சர்வவல்லவருடைய சுவாசமே அவர்களை உணர்வுள்ளவர்களாக்கும். BSB BSB: But there is a spirit in a man, the breath of the Almighty, that gives him understanding.
9 ULB பெரியோரெல்லாம் ஞானிகளல்ல; முதியோரெல்லாம் நீதியை அறிந்தவர்களுமல்ல. BSB BSB: It is not only the old who are wise, or the elderly who understand justice.
10 ULB ஆகையால் நான் சொல்வதைக் கேளுங்கள்; நானும் என் கருத்தை வெளிப்படுத்துவேன் என்றேன். BSB BSB: Therefore I say, ‘Listen to me; I too will declare what I know.’
11 ULB இதோ, உங்கள் வசனங்கள் முடியும்வரை காத்திருந்தேன்; நீங்கள் சொல்ல முடிந்ததை ஆராய்ந்து தேடும்வரை, உங்கள் நியாயங்களுக்குச் செவிகொடுத்தேன். BSB BSB: Indeed, I waited while you spoke; I listened to your reasoning; as you searched for words,
12 ULB நான் உங்கள் சொல்லைக் கவனித்தேன்; ஆனாலும் இதோ, உங்களில் யோபுக்கு நியாயத்தைத் தெரிவித்து, அவருடைய வசனங்களுக்கு ஏற்ற மறுமொழி சொல்லுகிறவனில்லை. BSB BSB: I paid you full attention. But no one proved Job wrong; not one of you rebutted his arguments.
13 ULB ஞானத்தைக் கண்டுபிடித்தோம் என்று நீங்கள் சொல்லாதபடி பாருங்கள்; மனிதனல்ல, தேவனே அவரை வெற்றி கொள்ளவேண்டும். BSB BSB: So do not claim, ‘We have found wisdom; let God, not man, refute him.’
14 ULB அவர் என்னைப்பார்த்துப் பேசினதில்லை; நீங்கள் சொன்ன வார்த்தைகளினால் நான் அவருக்கு மறுமொழி சொல்வதுமில்லை. BSB BSB: But Job has not directed his words against me, and I will not answer him with your arguments.
15 ULB அவர்கள் கலங்கி பிறகு மறுமொழி சொல்லாதிருக்கிறார்கள்; அவர்களுக்குப் பேச்சு நின்றுபோனது. BSB BSB: Job’s friends are dismayed, with no more to say; words have escaped them.
16 ULB அவர்கள் பேசமாட்டார்களா என்று காத்திருந்தேன்; ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் மறுமொழி கொடுக்காமலிருந்ததினால், BSB BSB: Must I wait, now that they are silent, now that they stand and no longer reply?
17 ULB நானும் மறுமொழியாக எனக்குத் தோன்றியவரை சொல்லுவேன்; நானும் என் கருத்தை வெளிப்படுத்துவேன். BSB BSB: I too will answer; yes, I will declare what I know.
18 ULB வார்த்தைகள் எனக்குள் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது; என் உள்ளத்திலுள்ள ஆவி என்னை நெருக்கி ஏவுகிறது. BSB BSB: For I am full of words, and my spirit within me compels me.
19 ULB இதோ, என் உள்ளம் அடைக்கப்பட்டிருந்து, புது தோல்பைகளையே கிழிக்கும் புதுரசத்தைப் போலிருக்கிறது. BSB BSB: Behold, my belly is like unvented wine; it is about to burst like a new wineskin.
20 ULB நான் ஆறுதலடையும்படி பேசுவேன்; என் உதடுகளைத் திறந்து மறுமொழி சொல்லுவேன். BSB BSB: I must speak and find relief; I must open my lips and respond.
21 ULB நான் ஒருவனுடைய முகத்தைப் பார்க்காமலும், ஒரு மனிதனுக்கும் ஆசை வார்த்தை பேசாமலும் இருப்பேனாக. BSB BSB: I will be partial to no one, nor will I flatter any man.
22 ULB நான் ஆசை வார்த்தை பேச அறியேன்; பேசினால் என்னை உண்டாக்கினவர் சீக்கிரமாக என்னை எடுத்துக்கொள்வார். BSB BSB: For I do not know how to flatter, or my Maker would remove me in an instant.
