BSB BSB: I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.
6 ULB ஒருவன் என்னில் நிலைத்திராவிட்டால், வெளியே எரியப்பட்ட கொடியைப்போல அவன் எரியப்பட்டு உலர்ந்துபோவான்; அப்படிப்பட்டவைகளைச் சேர்த்து, அக்கினியிலே போடுகிறார்கள்; அவைகள் எரிந்துபோகும். BSB BSB: If anyone does not remain in Me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers. Such branches are gathered up, thrown into the fire, and burned.
7 ULB நீங்கள் என்னிலும், என் வார்த்தைகள் உங்களிலும் நிலைத்திருந்தால், நீங்கள் கேட்டுக்கொள்ளுவது எதுவோ அது உங்களுக்குச் செய்யப்படும். BSB BSB: If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

9 ULB பிதா என்னில் அன்பாக இருக்கிறதுபோல நானும் உங்களில் அன்பாக இருக்கிறேன்; என்னுடைய அன்பிலே நிலைத்திருங்கள். BSB BSB: As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Remain in My love.

BSB BSB: If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love.

13 ULB ஒருவன் தன் நண்பனுக்காகத் தன் ஜீவனைக் கொடுக்கிற அன்பிலும் அதிகமான அன்பு ஒருவரிடத்திலும் இல்லை. BSB BSB: Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
14 ULB நான் உங்களுக்குக் கற்பிக்கிற யாவையும் நீங்கள் செய்வீர்களானால், என் நண்பர்களாக இருப்பீர்கள். BSB BSB: You are My friends if you do what I command you.

BSB BSB: No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not understand what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, because everything I have learned from My Father I have made known to you.

17 ULB நீங்கள் ஒருவரிலொருவர் அன்பாக இருக்கவேண்டுமென்றே இவைகளை உங்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிடுகிறேன். BSB BSB: This is My command to you: Love one another.
18 ULB உலகம் உங்களைப் பகைத்தால், அது உங்களைப் பகைக்கிறதற்குமுன்னே என்னைப் பகைத்ததென்று அறியுங்கள். BSB BSB: If the world hates you, understand that it hated Me first.

BSB BSB: If you were of the world, it would love you as its own. Instead, the world hates you, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world.
20 ULB வேலைக்காரன் தன் எஜமானைவிட பெரியவன் இல்லை என்று நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொன்ன வார்த்தையை நினைத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள். அவர்கள் என்னைத் துன்பப்படுத்தினது உண்டானால், உங்களையும், துன்பப்படுத்துவார்கள்; அவர்கள் என் வார்த்தையை கடைபிடித்தது உண்டானால், உங்களுடைய வார்த்தையையும் கடைப்பிடிப்பார்கள். BSB BSB: Remember the word that I spoke to you: ‘No servant is greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you as well; if they kept My word, they will keep yours as well.
21 ULB அவர்கள் என்னை அனுப்பினவரை அறியாதபடியினால் என் நாமத்தினிமித்தமே இவைகளையெல்லாம் உங்களுக்குச் செய்வார்கள். BSB BSB: But they will treat you like this because of My name, since they do not know the One who sent Me.
22 ULB நான் வந்து அவர்களோடு பேசாதிருந்தால் அவர்களுக்குப் பாவம் இருக்காது; இப்பொழுதோ தங்களுடைய பாவத்தைக்குறித்து சாக்குச்சொல்ல அவர்களுக்கு இடமில்லை. BSB BSB: If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin. Now, however, they have no excuse for their sin.
23 ULB என்னைப் பகைக்கிறவன் என் பிதாவையும் பகைக்கிறான். BSB BSB: Whoever hates Me hates My Father as well.
24 ULB வேறொருவரும் செய்யாத செயல்களை நான் அவர்களுக்குள்ளே செய்யாதிருந்தால், அவர்களுக்குப் பாவம் இருக்காது; இப்பொழுது அவர்கள் என்னையும் என் பிதாவையும் பார்த்தும், பகைத்தும் இருக்கிறார்கள். BSB BSB: If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin; but now they have seen and hated both Me and My Father.
25 ULB காரணம் இல்லாமல் என்னைப் பகைத்தார்கள் என்று அவர்களுடைய வேதத்தில் எழுதி இருக்கிற வாக்கியம் நிறைவேறும்படி இப்படியானது. BSB BSB: But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: ‘They hated Me without reason.’
27 ULB நீங்களும் ஆரம்பமுதல் என்னுடனே இருந்தபடியால் எனக்குச் சாட்சிகளாக இருப்பீர்கள். BSB BSB: And you also must testify, because you have been with Me from the beginning.
