9 ULB யூதர்கள் சமாரியருடனே எந்தத் தொடர்பும் வைக்காதவர்களானபடியால், சமாரிய பெண் அவரைப் பார்த்து: நீர் யூதனாக இருக்க, சமாரிய பெண்ணாகிய என்னிடத்தில், தாகத்திற்குத் தா என்று எப்படிக் கேட்கலாம் என்றாள். BSB BSB: “You are a Jew,” said the woman. “How can You ask for a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.)

BSB BSB: Jesus answered, “If you knew the gift of God and who is asking you for a drink, you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

BSB BSB: But whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a fount of water springing up to eternal life.”
15 ULB அந்த பெண் அவரைப் பார்த்து: ஆண்டவரே, எனக்குத் தாகம் உண்டாகாமலும், நான் இங்கே தண்ணீர் எடுக்க வராமலும் இருக்கும்படி அந்தத் தண்ணீரை எனக்குத் தரவேண்டும் என்றாள். BSB BSB: The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water so that I will not get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.”
16 ULB இயேசு அவளைப் பார்த்து: நீ போய், உன் கணவனை இங்கே அழைத்துக்கொண்டுவா என்றார். BSB BSB: Jesus told her, “Go, call your husband and come back.”
17 ULB அதற்கு அந்த பெண்: எனக்குப் கணவன் இல்லை என்றாள். இயேசு அவளைப் பார்த்து: எனக்குப் கணவன் இல்லை என்று நீ சொன்னது சரிதான். BSB BSB: “I have no husband,” the woman replied. Jesus said to her, “You are correct to say that you have no husband.
18 ULB எப்படியென்றால், ஐந்து கணவர்கள் உனக்கு இருந்தார்கள், இப்பொழுது உனக்கிருக்கிறவன் உனக்கு கணவன் இல்லை, இதை உள்ளபடி சொன்னாய் என்றார். BSB BSB: In fact, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. You have spoken truthfully.”

26 ULB அதற்கு இயேசு: உன்னுடனே பேசுகிற நானே அவர் என்றார். BSB BSB: Jesus answered, “I who speak to you am He.”
27 ULB அந்தநேரத்தில் அவருடைய சீடர்கள் வந்து, அவர் பெண்ணுடனே பேசுகிறதைக் கண்டு ஆச்சரியப்பட்டார்கள். ஆனாலும் என்ன வேண்டும் என்றாவது, ஏன் அவளுடனே பேசுகிறீர் என்றாவது, ஒருவனும் கேட்கவில்லை. BSB BSB: Just then His disciples returned and were surprised that He was speaking with a woman. But no one asked Him, “What do You want from her?” or “Why are You talking with her?”
28 ULB அப்பொழுது அந்த பெண், தன் குடத்தை வைத்துவிட்டு, ஊருக்குள்ளேப்போய், மக்களைப் பார்த்து: BSB BSB: Then the woman left her water jar, went back into the town, and said to the people,

30 ULB அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் ஊரிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு அவரிடத்தில் வந்தார்கள். BSB BSB: So they left the town and made their way toward Jesus.
31 ULB இப்படி நடக்கும்போது சீடர்கள் அவரைப் பார்த்து: ரபீ, சாப்பிடுங்கள் என்று கேட்டுக்கொண்டார்கள். BSB BSB: Meanwhile the disciples urged Him, “Rabbi, eat something.”
32 ULB அதற்கு அவர்: நான் சாப்பிடுவதற்கு நீங்கள் அறியாத ஒரு உணவு எனக்கு இருக்கிறது என்றார். BSB BSB: But He told them, “I have food to eat that you know nothing about.”
33 ULB அப்பொழுது சீடர்கள் ஒருவரையொருவர் பார்த்து: யாராவது அவருக்கு உணவுகொண்டுவந்திருப்பானோ என்றார்கள். BSB BSB: So the disciples asked one another, “Could someone have brought Him food?”
34 ULB இயேசு அவர்களைப் பார்த்து: நான் என்னை அனுப்பினவருடைய விருப்பத்தின்படிசெய்து அவருடைய செயல்களை முடிப்பதே என்னுடைய உணவாக இருக்கிறது. BSB BSB: Jesus explained, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work.
35 ULB அறுப்புக்காலம் வருகிறதற்கு இன்னும் நான்கு மாதங்கள் இருக்கின்றது என்று நீங்கள் சொல்லுகிறதில்லையா? இதோ, வயல் நிலங்கள் இப்பொழுதே அறுப்புக்கு விளைந்திருக்கிறது என்று உங்களுடைய கண்களை ஏறெடுத்துப்பாருங்கள் என்று நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன். BSB BSB: Do you not say, ‘There are still four months until the harvest’? I tell you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are ripe for harvest.
36 ULB விதைக்கிறவனும், அறுக்கிறவனுமாகிய இருவரும் ஒருமித்துச் சந்தோஷப்படத்தக்கதாக, அறுக்கிறவன் சம்பளத்தை வாங்கி, நித்தியஜீவனுக்காகப் பலனைச் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளுகிறான். BSB BSB: Already the reaper draws his wages and gathers a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may rejoice together.
37 ULB விதைக்கிறவன் ஒருவன் அறுக்கிறவன் ஒருவன் என்கிற உண்மையான வழக்கச்சொல் இதினாலே வெளிப்படுகிறது. BSB BSB: For in this case the saying ‘One sows and another reaps’ is true.
38 ULB நீங்கள் பாடுபட்டுப் பயிரிடாததை அறுக்க நான் உங்களை அனுப்பினேன், மற்றவர்கள் பாடுபட்டார்கள், அவர்கள் பாடுபட்டத்தின் பலனை நீங்கள் பெற்றீர்கள் என்றார். BSB BSB: I sent you to reap what you have not worked for; others have done the hard work, and now you have taken up their labor.”
39 ULB நான் செய்த எல்லாவற்றையும் எனக்குச் சொன்னார் என்று சாட்சி சொன்ன அந்த பெண்ணின் வார்த்தையினிமித்தம் அந்த ஊரிலுள்ள சமாரியரில் அநேகர் அவர்மேல் விசுவாசம் உள்ளவர்களானார்கள். BSB BSB: Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in Jesus because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.”
40 ULB சமாரியர் அவரிடத்தில் வந்து, தங்களிடத்தில் தங்கவேண்டும் என்று அவரை வேண்டிக்கொண்டார்கள்; அவர் இரண்டு நாட்கள் அங்கே தங்கினார். BSB BSB: So when the Samaritans came to Him, they asked Him to stay with them, and He stayed two days.
41 ULB அப்பொழுது அவருடைய உபதேசத்தின் மூலம் இன்னும் அநேகம்பேர் விசுவாசித்து, BSB BSB: And many more believed because of His message.
42 ULB அந்த பெண்ணைப் பார்த்து: உன் வார்த்தையினாலே இல்லை, அவருடைய உபதேசத்தை நாங்களே கேட்டு, அவர் உண்மையாகவே கிறிஸ்துவாகிய உலக இரட்சகர் என்று அறிந்து விசுவாசிக்கிறோம் என்றார்கள். BSB BSB: They said to the woman, “We now believe not only because of your words; we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man truly is the Savior of the world.”
43 ULB இரண்டு நாட்களுக்குப்பின்பு அவர் அந்த இடத்தைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு, கலிலேயாவிற்குப் போனார். BSB BSB: After two days, Jesus left for Galilee.
44 ULB ஒரு தீர்க்கதரிசிக்குத் தன் சொந்த ஊரிலே மரியாதை இல்லை என்று இயேசு தாமே சொல்லியிருந்தார். BSB BSB: Now He Himself had testified that a prophet has no honor in his own hometown.
45 ULB அவர் கலிலேயாவில் வந்தபோது, எருசலேமில் பண்டிகையிலே அவர் செய்த எல்லாவற்றையும் பார்த்திருந்த கலிலேயர் அவரை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டார்கள்; அவர்களும் பண்டிகைக்குச் சென்றிருந்தார்கள். BSB BSB: Yet when He arrived, the Galileans welcomed Him. They had seen all the great things He had done in Jerusalem at the feast, for they had gone there as well.
46 ULB பின்பு, இயேசு தாம் தண்ணீரைத் திராட்சைரசமாக்கின கலிலேயாவிலுள்ள கானா ஊருக்கு மறுபடியும் வந்தார்; அப்பொழுது கப்பர்நகூமிலே ராஜாவின் அதிகாரிகளில் ஒருவனுடைய மகன் வியாதியாக இருந்தான். BSB BSB: So once again He came to Cana in Galilee, where He had turned the water into wine. And there was a royal official whose son lay sick at Capernaum.
47 ULB இயேசு யூதேயாவிலிருந்து, கலிலேயாவிற்கு வந்தார் என்று அந்த மனிதன் கேள்விப்பட்டபோது, அவரிடத்திற்குப்போய், தன் மகன் மரணவேதனையில் இருக்கிறதினால், அவனைக் குணமாக்குவதற்கு வரவேண்டும் என்று அவரை வேண்டிக்கொண்டான். BSB BSB: When he heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went and begged Him to come down and heal his son, who was about to die.
48 ULB அப்பொழுது இயேசு அவனைப் பார்த்து: நீங்கள் அடையாளங்களையும், அற்புதங்களையும் பார்க்காவிட்டால் விசுவாசிக்கமாட்டீர்கள் என்றார். BSB BSB: Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will never believe.”
49 ULB அதற்கு ராஜாவின் அதிகாரி: ஆண்டவரே, என் பிள்ளை இறப்பதற்குமுன்னே வரவேண்டும் என்றான். BSB BSB: “Sir,” the official said, “come down before my child dies.”

BSB BSB: Then the father realized that this was the very hour in which Jesus had told him, “Your son will live.” And he and all his household believed.
