BSB BSB: Then the sons of Judah approached Joshua at Gilgal, and Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite said to him, “You know what the LORD said to Moses the man of God at Kadesh-barnea about you and me.
7 ULB தேசத்தை வேவுபார்க்கக் கர்த்தரின் ஊழியக்காரனாகிய மோசே என்னைக் காதேஸ்பர்னெயாவிலிருந்து அனுப்புகிறபோது, எனக்கு நாற்பது வயதாக இருந்தது; என் இருதயத்திலுள்ளபடியே அவருக்கு மறுசெய்தி கொண்டுவந்தேன். BSB BSB: I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Kadesh-barnea to spy out the land, and I brought back to him an honest report.
8 ULB ஆனாலும் என்னோடு வந்த என் சகோதரர்கள் மக்களின் இருதயத்தைப் பயத்தினாலே கரையச்செய்தார்கள்; நானோ என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை உத்தமமாகப் பின்பற்றினேன். BSB BSB: Although my brothers who went with me made the hearts of the people melt with fear, I remained loyal to the LORD my God.
9 ULB அந்த நாளிலே மோசே: நீ என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை உத்தமமாகப் பின்பற்றினபடியினால், உன் கால் மிதித்த தேசம் உனக்கும் உன் பிள்ளைகளுக்கும் என்றென்றைக்கும் சொந்தமாக இருக்கட்டும் என்று சொல்லி ஆணையிட்டார். BSB BSB: On that day Moses swore to me, saying, ‘Surely the land on which you have set foot will be an inheritance to you and your children forever, because you have wholly followed the LORD my God.’

BSB BSB: still as strong today as I was the day Moses sent me out. As my strength was then, so it is now for war, for going out, and for coming in.

BSB BSB: Now therefore give me this hill country that the LORD promised me on that day, for you yourself heard then that the Anakim were there, with great and fortified cities. Perhaps with the LORD’s help I will drive them out, as the LORD has spoken.”
13 ULB அப்பொழுது யோசுவா: எப்புன்னேயின் மகனாகிய காலேபை ஆசீர்வதித்து, எபிரோனை அவனுக்குப் பங்காகக் கொடுத்தான். BSB BSB: Then Joshua blessed Caleb son of Jephunneh and gave him Hebron as his inheritance.
14 ULB ஆகவே கேனாசியனான எப்புன்னேயின் மகனாகிய காலேப் இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை உத்தமமாகப் பின்பற்றினபடியினால், இந்த நாள்வரை இருக்கிறபடி, எபிரோன் அவனுக்குச் சொந்தமானது. BSB BSB: Therefore Hebron belongs to Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite as an inheritance to this day, because he wholly followed the LORD, the God of Israel.
15 ULB முன்னே எபிரோனுக்குக் கீரியாத் அர்பா என்ற பெயர் இருந்தது; அர்பா என்பவன் ஏனாக்கியர்களுக்குள்ளே பெரிய மனிதனாக இருந்தான்; யுத்தம் ஓய்ந்ததினால் தேசம் அமைதலாக இருந்தது. BSB BSB: (Hebron used to be called Kiriath-arba, after Arba, the greatest man among the Anakim.) Then the land had rest from war.
