BSB BSB: And again the Israelites did evil in the sight of the LORD. They served the Baals, the Ashtoreths, the gods of Aram, Sidon, and Moab, and the gods of the Ammonites and Philistines. Thus they forsook the LORD and did not serve Him.

BSB BSB: who that very year harassed and oppressed the Israelites, and they did so for eighteen years to all the Israelites on the other side of the Jordan in Gilead, the land of the Amorites.

BSB BSB: Then the Israelites cried out to the LORD, saying, “We have sinned against You, for we have indeed forsaken our God and served the Baals.”
11 ULB கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களை நோக்கி: எகிப்தியர்களும், எமோரியர்களும், அம்மோனியர்களும், பெலிஸ்தர்களும், BSB BSB: The LORD replied, “When the Egyptians, Amorites, Ammonites, Philistines,
12 ULB சீதோனியர்களும், அமலேக்கியர்களும், மாகோனியர்களும், உங்களை ஒடுக்கும் நேரங்களில், நீங்கள் என்னை நோக்கி முறையிட்டபோது, நான் உங்களை அவர்களுடைய கைக்கு விலக்கி இரட்சிக்கவில்லையா? BSB BSB: Sidonians, Amalekites, and Maonites oppressed you and you cried out to Me, did I not save you from their hands?
13 ULB அப்படியிருந்தும் நீங்கள் என்னைவிட்டு, அந்நிய தெய்வங்களை ஆராதனை செய்தீர்கள்; ஆகையால் இனி உங்களை இரட்சிக்கமாட்டேன். BSB BSB: But you have forsaken Me and served other gods, so I will no longer save you.
14 ULB நீங்கள் போய், உங்களுக்காகத் தெரிந்துகொண்ட தெய்வங்களை நோக்கி முறையிடுங்கள்; அவைகள் உங்களுடைய ஆபத்தின் காலத்தில் உங்களை இரட்சிக்கட்டும் என்றார். BSB BSB: Go and cry out to the gods you have chosen. Let them save you in your time of trouble.”
15 ULB இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் கர்த்தரை நோக்கி: பாவஞ்செய்தோம், தேவரீர் உம்முடைய பார்வைக்கு நலமானதை எங்களுக்குச் செய்யும்; இன்றைக்குமட்டும் எங்களை இரட்சித்தருளும் என்று சொல்லி, BSB BSB: “We have sinned,” the Israelites said to the LORD. “Deal with us as You see fit; but please deliver us today!”
16 ULB அந்நிய தெய்வங்களைத் தங்கள் நடுவிலிருந்து விலக்கிவிட்டு, கர்த்தருக்கு ஆராதனை செய்தார்கள்; அப்பொழுது அவர் இஸ்ரவேலின் துயரத்தைப் பார்த்து மனதுருகினார். BSB BSB: So they put away the foreign gods from among them and served the LORD, and He could no longer bear the misery of Israel.
17 ULB அம்மோனியர்கள் கூட்டங்கூடி, கீலேயாத்திலே முகாமிட்டார்கள்; இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களும் கூடிக்கொண்டு, மிஸ்பாவிலே முகாமிட்டார்கள். BSB BSB: Then the Ammonites were called to arms and camped in Gilead, and the Israelites assembled and camped at Mizpah.
18 ULB அப்பொழுது கீலேயாத்தின் மக்களும் பிரபுக்களும் ஒருவரையொருவர் நோக்கி: அம்மோனியர்கள்மேல் முதலில் யுத்தம்செய்யப்போகிற மனிதன் யார்? அவனே கீலேயாத்தின் குடியிருப்புகளுக்கெல்லாம் தலைவனாக இருப்பான் என்றார்கள். BSB BSB: And the rulers of Gilead said to one another, “Whoever will launch the attack against the Ammonites will be the head of all who live in Gilead.”
