2 ULB ஆனாலும் அவர் வரும் நாளைத் தாங்கிக்கொள்பவன் யார்? அவர் வெளிப்படும்போது நிலைநிற்பவன் யார்? அவர் புடமிடுகிறவனுடைய நெருப்பைப்போலவும், வண்ணாருடைய சவுக்காரத்தைப்போலவும் இருப்பார். BSB BSB: But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He will be like a refiner’s fire, like a launderer’s soap.
3 ULB அவர் உட்கார்ந்து வெள்ளியைப் புடமிட்டுச் சுத்திகரித்துக் கொண்டிருப்பார்; அவர் லேவியின் சந்ததியைச் சுத்திகரித்து, அவர்கள் கர்த்தருடையவர்களாக இருப்பதற்காகவும், நீதியாகக் காணிக்கையைச் செலுத்துவதற்காகவும், அவர்களைப் பொன்னைப்போலவும் வெள்ளியைப்போலவும் புடமிடுவார். BSB BSB: And He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver. Then they will present offerings to the LORD in righteousness.
4 ULB அப்பொழுது ஆரம்பநாட்களிலும் கடந்த வருடங்களிலும் இருந்ததுபோல, யூதாவின் காணிக்கையும், எருசலேமின் காணிக்கையும் கர்த்தருக்குப் பிரியமாயிருக்கும். BSB BSB: Then the offerings of Judah and Jerusalem will please the LORD, as in days of old and years gone by.
5 ULB நான் நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு செய்யும்படி உங்களிடத்தில் வந்து, சூனியக்காரர்களுக்கும், விபசாரக்காரர்களுக்கும், பொய் சத்தியம் செய்கிறவர்களுக்கும், எனக்குப் பயப்படாமல் விதவைகளும், திக்கற்றபிள்ளைகளுமாகிய கூலிக்காரர்களின் கூலியை அபகரித்துக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களுக்கும், பரதேசிக்கும், அநியாயம் செய்கிறவர்களுக்கும் விரோதமாக முக்கிய சாட்சியாயிருப்பேன் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். BSB BSB: “Then I will draw near to you for judgment. And I will be a swift witness against sorcerers and adulterers and perjurers, against oppressors of the widowed and fatherless, and against those who defraud laborers of their wages and deny justice to the foreigner but do not fear Me,” says the LORD of Hosts.
6 ULB நான் கர்த்தர், நான் மாறாதவர்; ஆகையால் யாக்கோபின் மக்களாகிய நீங்கள் நிர்மூலமாகவில்லை. BSB BSB: “Because I, the LORD, do not change, you descendants of Jacob have not been destroyed.
7 ULB நீங்கள் உங்கள் முற்பிதாக்களின் நாட்கள் துவங்கி என் கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளாமல், அவைகளைவிட்டு விலகிப்போனீர்கள்; என்னிடத்திற்குத் திரும்புங்கள், அப்பொழுது உங்களிடத்திற்குத் திரும்புவேன் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; நாங்கள் எந்த காரியத்தில் திரும்பவேண்டும் என்கிறீர்கள். BSB BSB: Yet from the days of your fathers, you have turned away from My statutes and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you,” says the LORD of Hosts. “But you ask, ‘How can we return?’
8 ULB மனிதன் தேவனை ஏமாற்றலாமா? நீங்களோ என்னை ஏமாற்றுகிறீர்கள். எதிலே உம்மை ஏமாற்றினோம் என்கிறீர்கள்? தசமபாகத்திலும் காணிக்கைகளிலும்தானே. BSB BSB: Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing Me! But you ask, ‘How do we rob You?’ In tithes and offerings.
9 ULB நீங்கள் சபிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள்; மக்களாகிய நீங்கள் எல்லோரும் என்னை ஏமாற்றினீர்கள். BSB BSB: You are cursed with a curse, yet you—the whole nation—are still robbing Me.
10 ULB என் ஆலயத்தில் ஆகாரம் உண்டாயிருக்கும்படி தசமபாகங்களையெல்லாம் பண்டகசாலையிலே கொண்டுவாருங்கள்; அப்பொழுது நான் வானத்தின் மதகுகளைத் திறந்து, இடங்கொள்ளாமற்போகும்வரை உங்கள்மேல் ஆசீர்வாதத்தை பொழியச்செய்யமாட்டேனோவென்று அதினால் என்னைச் சோதித்துப்பாருங்கள் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். BSB BSB: Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house. Test Me in this,” says the LORD of Hosts. “See if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour out for you blessing without measure.
11 ULB பூமியின் கனியை அழித்துப்போடுகிறவைகளை உங்கள் நிமித்தம் கண்டிப்பேன்; அவைகள் உங்கள் நிலத்தின் பலனை அழிப்பதில்லை, வெளியிலுள்ள திராட்சைக்கொடி பழமில்லாமற்போவதுமில்லை என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். BSB BSB: I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of your land, and the vine in your field will not fail to produce fruit,” says the LORD of Hosts.
12 ULB அப்பொழுது எல்லா ஜாதிகளும் உங்களைப் பாக்கியவான்கள் என்பார்கள், தேசம் விரும்பப்படத்தக்கதாயிருக்கும் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். BSB BSB: “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for you will be a land of delight,” says the LORD of Hosts.
13 ULB நீங்கள் எனக்கு விரோதமாகப் பேசின பேச்சுகள் கடினமாயிருக்கிறது என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; ஆனாலும் உமக்கு விரோதமாக எதைப் பேசினோம் என்கிறீர்கள். BSB BSB: “Your words against Me have been harsh,” says the LORD. “Yet you ask, ‘What have we spoken against You?’
14 ULB தேவனைச் சேவிப்பது வீண், அவருடைய கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறதினாலும், சேனைகளின் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாகத் துக்கித்து நடக்கிறதினாலும் என்ன பயன்? BSB BSB: You have said, ‘It is futile to serve God. What have we gained by keeping His requirements and walking mournfully before the LORD of Hosts?
15 ULB இப்போதும் அகங்காரிகளைப் பாக்கியவான்கள் என்கிறோம்? தீமை செய்கிறவர்கள் திடப்படுகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் தேவனைப் பரிட்சைபார்த்தாலும் விடுவிக்கப்படுகிறார்களே என்று சொல்லுகிறீர்கள். BSB BSB: So now we call the arrogant blessed. Not only do evildoers prosper, they even test God and escape.’”
16 ULB அப்பொழுது கர்த்தருக்குப் பயந்தவர்கள் ஒருவரோடொருவர் பேசிக்கொள்வார்கள்; கர்த்தர் கவனித்துக் கேட்பார்; கர்த்தருக்குப் பயந்தவர்களுக்காகவும், அவருடைய நாமத்தைத் தியானிக்கிறவர்களுக்காகவும் ஞாபகப்புத்தகம் ஒன்று அவருக்கு முன்பாக எழுதப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. BSB BSB: At that time those who feared the LORD spoke with one another, and the LORD listened and heard them. So a scroll of remembrance was written before Him regarding those who feared the LORD and honored His name.
17 ULB என் செல்வத்தை நான் சேர்க்கும் நாளிலே அவர்கள் என்னுடையவர்களாயிருப்பார்கள் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; ஒரு மனிதன் தனக்கு வேலைசெய்கிற தன்னுடைய மகனுக்கு இரக்கம்காட்டுவதுபோல நான் அவர்களுக்கு இரக்கம்காட்டுவேன். BSB BSB: “They will be Mine,” says the LORD of Hosts, “on the day when I prepare My treasured possession. And I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.
18 ULB அப்பொழுது நீங்கள் நீதிமானுக்கும் துன்மார்க்கனுக்கும், தேவனுக்கு ஊழியம்செய்கிறவனுக்கும், அவருக்கு ஊழியம்செய்யாதவனுக்கும் இருக்கிற வித்தியாசத்தை திரும்பவும் காண்பீர்கள். BSB BSB: So you will again distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.”
