And since they had no sons, only Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests during the lifetime of their father Aaron.
5 ULB கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to Moses,

BSB BSB: “Behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel in place of every firstborn Israelite from the womb. The Levites belong to Me,

14 ULB பின்னும் கர்த்தர் சீனாய் வனாந்திரத்தில் மோசேயை நோக்கி: BSB BSB: Then the LORD spoke to Moses in the Wilderness of Sinai, saying,
15 ULB லேவியின் மக்களை அவர்களுடைய முன்னோர்களின் வம்சங்களின்படியே எண்ணவேண்டும்; அவர்களில் ஒரு மாதம் முதல் அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட வயதுள்ள ஆண்பிள்ளைகளையெல்லாம் எண்ணு என்றார். BSB BSB: “Number the Levites by their families and clans. You are to count every male a month old or more.”
16 ULB அப்பொழுது கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை, தனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடி மோசே அவர்களை எண்ணினான். BSB BSB: So Moses numbered them according to the word of the LORD, as he had been commanded.
17 ULB லேவியின் மகன்கள் தங்களுடைய பெயர்களின்படியே, கெர்சோன், கோகாத், மெராரி என்பவர்கள். BSB BSB: These were the sons of Levi by name: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
18 ULB தங்களுடைய வம்சத்தின்படியே கெர்சோனுடைய மகன்களின் பெயர்கள், லிப்னீ, சீமேயி என்பவைகள். BSB BSB: These were the names of the sons of Gershon by their clans: Libni and Shimei.
19 ULB தங்களுடைய வம்சங்களின்படியே கோகாத்துடைய மகன்கள் அம்ராம், இத்சேயார், எப்ரோன், ஊசியேல் என்பவர்கள். BSB BSB: The sons of Kohath by their clans were Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.
20 ULB தங்களுடைய வம்சங்களின்படியே மெராரியினுடைய மகன்கள், மகேலி, மூசி என்பவர்கள்; இவர்களே லேவியர்களுடைய பிதாக்களின் வம்சத்தார். BSB BSB: And the sons of Merari by their clans were Mahli and Mushi. These were the clans of the Levites, according to their families.
21 ULB கெர்சோனின் வழியாக லிப்னீயர்களின் வம்சமும் சீமேயியர்கள் வம்சமும் தோன்றின; இவைகளே கெர்சோனியர்களின் வம்சங்கள். BSB BSB: From Gershon came the Libnite clan and the Shimeite clan; these were the Gershonite clans.

BSB BSB: From Kohath came the clans of the Amramites, the Izharites, the Hebronites, and the Uzzielites; these were the clans of the Kohathites.

BSB BSB: The chief of the leaders of the Levites was Eleazar son of Aaron the priest; he oversaw those responsible for the duties of the sanctuary.
33 ULB மெராரியின் வழியாக மகேலியரின் வம்சமும் மூசியரின் வம்சமும் தோன்றின; இவைகளே மெராரியின் வம்சங்கள். BSB BSB: From Merari came the clans of the Mahlites and Mushites; these were the Merarite clans.

BSB BSB: Moses, Aaron, and Aaron’s sons were to camp to the east of the tabernacle, toward the sunrise, before the Tent of Meeting. They were to perform the duties of the sanctuary as a service on behalf of the Israelites; but any outsider who approached the sanctuary was to be put to death.
39 ULB மோசேயும், ஆரோனும், கர்த்தருடைய வாக்கின்படி, லேவியர்களில் ஒரு மாதம் முதல் அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட வயதுள்ள ஆண்பிள்ளைகளையெல்லாம் அவர்களுடைய வம்சங்களின்படியே எண்ணினார்கள்; அவர்கள் இருபத்திரெண்டாயிரம்பேராக இருந்தார்கள். BSB BSB: The total number of Levites that Moses and Aaron counted by their clans at the LORD’s command, including all the males a month old or more, was 22,000.

42 ULB அப்பொழுது மோசே, கர்த்தர் தனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களிலுள்ள முதற்பேறான எல்லோரையும் எண்ணினான். BSB BSB: So Moses numbered all the firstborn of the Israelites, as the LORD had commanded him.
43 ULB ஒரு மாதம் முதல் அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட வயதுள்ள முதற்பேறான ஆண்பிள்ளைகளெல்லாரும் பேர்பேராக எண்ணப்பட்டபோது, இருபத்திரெண்டாராயிரத்து இருநூற்று எழுபத்துமூன்றுபேராக இருந்தார்கள். BSB BSB: The total number of the firstborn males a month old or more, listed by name, was 22,273.
44 ULB அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: BSB BSB: Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
45 ULB நீ இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களிலுள்ள முதற்பேறான அனைவருக்கும் பதிலாக லேவியர்களையும், அவர்களுடைய மிருகஜீவன்களுக்குப்பதிலாக லேவியர்களின் மிருகஜீவன்களையும் பிரித்தெடு; லேவியர்கள் என்னுடையவர்களாக இருப்பார்கள்; நான் கர்த்தர். BSB BSB: “Take the Levites in place of all the firstborn of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites in place of their livestock. The Levites belong to Me; I am the LORD.

51 ULB கர்த்தருடைய வார்தையின்படியே மீட்கப்பட்டவர்களின் கிரயத்தை ஆரோனுக்கும் அவனுடைய மகன்களுக்கும், கர்த்தர் தனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே கொடுத்தான். BSB BSB: And Moses gave the redemption money to Aaron and his sons in obedience to the word of the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded him.
