Numbers 32 (ULB)

1ரூபன், காத் சந்ததிக்கும் ஆடுமாடுகள் மிகவும் திரளாக இருந்தது; அவர்கள் யாசேர் தேசத்தையும் கீலேயாத் தேசத்தையும் பார்த்தபோது, அது ஆடுமாடுகளுக்குத் தகுந்த இடமென்று கண்டார்கள்.Now the Reubenites and Gadites, who had very large herds and flocks, surveyed the lands of Jazer and Gilead, and they saw that the region was suitable for livestock.

3கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேல் சபைக்கு முன்பாக முறியடித்த அதரோத், தீபோன், யாசேர், நிம்ரா, எஸ்போன், எலெயாலெ, சேபாம், நேபோ, பெயோன் என்னும் பட்டணங்களைச் சேர்ந்த நாடானது ஆடுமாடுகளுக்குத் தகுந்த இடம்.“Ataroth, Dibon, Jazer, Nimrah, Heshbon, Elealeh, Sebam, Nebo, and Beon,

4உமது அடியார்களுக்கு ஆடுமாடுகள் உண்டு.which the LORD conquered before the congregation of Israel, are suitable for livestock—and your servants have livestock.”

Do not make us cross the Jordan.”

10அதினால் கர்த்தர் அந்த நாளிலே கோபம் வந்தவராகி:So the anger of the LORD was kindled that day, and He swore an oath, saying,

11உத்தமமாக என்னைப் பின்பற்றின கேனேசியனான எப்புன்னேயின் மகன் காலேபும், நூனின் மகன் யோசுவாவும் தவிர,‘Because they did not follow Me wholeheartedly, not one of the men twenty years of age or older who came out of Egypt will see the land that I swore to give Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—

12எகிப்திலிருந்து வந்தவர்களில் இருபது வயதுமுதல் அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட மனிதர்களில் ஒருவரும் என்னை உத்தமமாகப் பின்பற்றாதபடியால், அவர்கள் நான் ஆபிரகாமுக்கும், ஈசாக்குக்கும், யாக்கோபுக்கும் ஆணையிட்டுக்கொடுத்த தேசத்தைக் காண்பதில்லை என்று ஆணையிட்டிருக்கிறார்.not one except Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite and Joshua son of Nun—because they did follow the LORD wholeheartedly.’

13அப்படியே கர்த்தருடைய கோபம் இஸ்ரவேலின் மேல் வந்தது; கர்த்தருடைய சமுகத்தில் தீங்குசெய்த அந்தச் சந்ததியெல்லாம் அழிந்துபோகும்வரை அவர்களை வனாந்திரத்திலே நாற்பது வருடங்கள் அலையச்செய்தார்.The anger of the LORD burned against Israel, and He made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until the whole generation who had done evil in His sight was gone.

14இப்பொழுதும் இதோ இஸ்ரவேலர்களின் மேல் இருக்கும் கர்த்தருடைய கோபத்தின் கடுமையை இன்னும் அதிகரிக்கச்செய்யும்படி, நீங்கள் உங்களுடைய தகப்பன்களின் இடத்திலே பாவமுள்ள பெருங்கூட்டமாக எழும்பியிருக்கிறீர்கள்.Now behold, you, a brood of sinners, have risen up in place of your fathers to further stoke the burning anger of the LORD against Israel.

16அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் அவன் அருகில் வந்து: எங்களுடைய ஆடுமாடுகளுக்காகத் தொழுவங்களையும், எங்களுடைய பிள்ளைகளுக்காகப் பட்டணங்களையும் இங்கே கட்டுவோம்.Then the Gadites and Reubenites approached Moses and said, “We want to build sheepfolds here for our livestock and cities for our little ones.

17நாங்களோ இஸ்ரவேலர்களுடைய ராணுவத்தை அவர்கள் இடத்திலே கொண்டுபோய்ச் சேர்க்கும்வரையும், யுத்தத்திற்கு ஆயத்தமாக தீவிரத்தோடு அவர்களுக்கு முன்பாக நடப்போம்; எங்களுடைய பிள்ளைகள் இத்தேசத்து மக்களின் பொருட்டு பாதுகாப்பான பட்டணங்களிலே குடியிருக்கக் கேட்டுக்கொள்ளுகிறோம்.But we will arm ourselves and be ready to go ahead of the Israelites until we have brought them into their place. Meanwhile, our little ones will remain in the fortified cities for protection from the inhabitants of the land.

18இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் எல்லோரும் தங்கள்தங்கள் சுதந்தரத்தைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளும் வரைக்கும், நாங்கள் எங்களுடைய வீடுகளுக்குத் திரும்புவதில்லை.We will not return to our homes until every Israelite has taken possession of his inheritance.

19யோர்தானுக்கு இப்புறத்தில் கிழக்கே எங்களுக்குச் சுதந்தரம் உண்டானபடியினாலே, நாங்கள் அவர்களோடு யோர்தானுக்கு அக்கரையிலும், அதற்கு அப்புறத்திலும் சுதந்தரம் வாங்கமாட்டோம் என்றார்கள்.Yet we will not have an inheritance with them across the Jordan and beyond, because our inheritance has come to us on the east side of the Jordan.”

20அப்பொழுது மோசே அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் இந்த வார்த்தையின்படி செய்து, கர்த்தருடைய சமுகத்தில் யுத்தத்திற்கு ஆயத்தமாகி,Moses replied, “If you will do this—if you will arm yourselves before the LORD for battle,

21கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய எதிரிகளைத் தம்முடைய முகத்திற்கு முன்னின்று துரத்திவிடும்வரை, நீங்கள் எல்லோரும் அவருடைய சமுகத்தில் யுத்தத்திற்கு ஆயத்தமாக யோர்தானைக் கடந்து போவீர்களானால்,and if every one of your armed men crosses the Jordan before the LORD, until He has driven His enemies out before Him,

22அந்ததேசம் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக கிடைத்தபின்பு, நீங்கள் திரும்பி வந்து, கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாகவும், இஸ்ரவேலர்களுக்கு முன்பாகவும், குற்றமில்லாமல் இருப்பீர்கள்; அதற்குப்பின்பு இந்த தேசம் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக உங்களுக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகும்.then when the land is subdued before the LORD, you may return and be free of obligation to the LORD and to Israel. And this land will belong to you as a possession before the LORD.

23நீங்கள் இப்படிச் செய்யாமல்போனால், கர்த்தருக்கு எதிராகப் பாவம் செய்தவர்களாக இருப்பீர்கள்; உங்கள் பாவம் உங்களைத் தொடர்ந்து பிடிக்கும் என்று நிச்சயமாக அறியுங்கள்.But if you do not do this, you will certainly sin against the LORD—and be assured that your sin will find you out.

24உங்களுடைய பிள்ளைகளுக்காகப் பட்டணங்களையும், உங்களுடைய ஆடுமாடுகளுக்காகத் தொழுவங்களையும் கட்டி, உங்களுடைய வாய்மொழியின்படியே செய்யுங்கள் என்றான்.Build cities for your little ones and folds for your flocks, but do what you have promised.”

25அப்பொழுது காத் சந்ததியும் ரூபன் சந்ததியும் மோசேயை நோக்கி: எங்களுடைய ஆண்டவன் கட்டளையிட்டபடி உமது ஊழியக்காரராகிய நாங்கள் செய்வோம்.The Gadites and Reubenites said to Moses, “Your servants will do just as our lord commands.

26எங்களுடைய பிள்ளைகளும் எங்களுடைய மனைவிகளும், எங்களுடைய ஆடுமாடு முதலான எங்களுடைய எல்லா மிருகஜீவன்களோடும், இங்கே கீலேயாத்தின் பட்டணங்களில் இருப்பார்கள்.Our children, our wives, our livestock, and all our animals will remain here in the cities of Gilead.

27உமது ஊழியக்காரர்களாகிய நாங்களோ எங்களுடைய ஆண்டவன் சொன்னபடி, ஒவ்வொருவரும் யுத்தத்திற்கு ஆயத்தமாக, கர்த்தருடைய சமுகத்தில் யுத்தத்திற்குப் போவோம் என்றார்கள்.But your servants are equipped for war, and every man will cross over to the battle before the LORD, just as our lord says.”

28அப்பொழுது மோசே அவர்களுக்காக ஆசாரியனாகிய எலெயாசாருக்கும், நூனின் மகனாகிய யோசுவாவுக்கும், இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுடைய கோத்திர பிதாக்களாகிய தலைவர்களுக்கும் கட்டளையிட்டு:So Moses gave orders about them to Eleazar the priest, to Joshua son of Nun, and to the family leaders of the tribes of Israel.

29காத் சந்ததியும் ரூபன் சந்ததியும் அவரவர் கர்த்தருடைய சமுகத்தில் யுத்தத்திற்கு ஆயத்தமாக உங்களோடுகூட யோர்தானைக் கடந்துபோனால், அந்ததேசம் உங்களுக்கு கிடைத்தபின்பு, அவர்களுக்குக் கீலேயாத் தேசத்தைச் சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுக்கக்கடவீர்கள்.And Moses said to them, “If the Gadites and Reubenites cross the Jordan with you, with every man armed for battle before the LORD, and the land is subdued before you, then you are to give them the land of Gilead as a possession.

30உங்களோடுகூட யுத்தவீரர்களாகக் கடந்துபோகாமல் இருந்தார்களேயானால், அவர்கள் உங்கள் நடுவே கானான் தேசத்திலே சுதந்தரம் அடையவேண்டும் என்றான்.But if they do not arm themselves and go across with you, then they must accept their possession among you in the land of Canaan.”

31காத் சந்ததியும் ரூபன் சந்ததியும் மறுமொழியாக: உம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரர்களாகிய நாங்கள் கர்த்தர் எங்களுக்குச் சொன்னபடியே செய்வோம்.The Gadites and Reubenites replied, “As the LORD has spoken to your servants, so we will do.

32யோர்தானுக்கு இக்கரையிலே எங்கள் சுதந்தரத்தின் சொந்தநிலம் எங்களுக்கு உரியதாகும்படி நாங்கள் கர்த்தருடைய சமுகத்தில் யுத்தத்திற்கு ஆயத்தமாகி கானான் தேசத்திற்குப் போவோம் என்றார்கள்.We will cross over into the land of Canaan armed before the LORD, that we may have our inheritance on this side of the Jordan.”

33அப்பொழுது மோசே காத் சந்ததிக்கும், ரூபன் சந்ததிக்கும், யோசேப்பின் மகனாகிய மனாசேயின் பாதிக்கோத்திரத்தாருக்கும், எமோரியருடைய ராஜாவாகிய சீகோனின் ராஜ்ஜியத்தையும், பாசானுடைய ராஜாவாகிய ஓகின் ராஜ்ஜியத்தையும், அவைகளைச் சேர்ந்த தேசங்களையும் அவைகளின் எல்லையைச் சுற்றிலுமுள்ள பட்டணங்களையும் கொடுத்தான்.So Moses gave to the Gadites, to the Reubenites, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh son of Joseph the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan—the land including its cities and the territory surrounding them.

34பின்பு காத் சந்ததியார் தீபோன், அதரோத் ஆரோவேர்,And the Gadites built up Dibon, Ataroth, Aroer,

35ஆத்ரோத், சோபான், யாசேர், யொகிபேயா,Atroth-shophan, Jazer, Jogbehah,

36பெத்நிம்ரா, பெத்தாரன் என்னும் பாதுகாப்பான பட்டணங்களையும் ஆட்டுத்தொழுவங்களையும் கட்டினார்கள்.Beth-nimrah, and Beth-haran as fortified cities, and they built folds for their flocks.

37ரூபன் சந்ததியார் எஸ்போன், எலெயாலெ, கீரியத்தாயீம்,The Reubenites built up Heshbon, Elealeh, Kiriathaim,

38பேர்கள் மாற்றப்பட்ட நேபோ, பாகால்மெயோன், சீப்மா என்பவைகளைக் கட்டி, தாங்கள் கட்டின பட்டணங்களுக்கு வேறு பெயர்களைக் கொடுத்தார்கள்.as well as Nebo and Baal-meon (whose names were changed), and Sibmah. And they renamed the cities they rebuilt.

39மனாசேயின் மகனாகிய மாகீரின் சந்ததி கீலேயாத்திற்குப் போய், அதைக்கட்டிக்கொண்டு, அதிலிருந்த எமோரியர்களைத் துரத்திவிட்டார்கள்.The descendants of Machir son of Manasseh went to Gilead, captured it, and drove out the Amorites who were there.

40அப்பொழுது மோசே கீலேயாத்தை மனாசேயின் மகனாகிய மாகீருக்குக் கொடுத்தான்; அவர்கள் அதிலே குடியேறினார்கள்.So Moses gave Gilead to the clan of Machir son of Manasseh, and they settled there.

41மனாசேயின் மகனாகிய யாவீர் போய், அவர்களுடைய கிராமங்களைக் கட்டிக்கொண்டு, அவைகளுக்கு யாவீர் என்று பெயரிட்டான்.Jair, a descendant of Manasseh, went and captured their villages and called them Havvoth-jair.

42நோபாக் போய், கேனாத்தையும், அதின் கிராமங்களையும் கட்டிக்கொண்டு, அதற்குத் தன்னுடைய பெயரின்படி நோபாக் என்று பெயரிட்டான்.And Nobah went and captured Kenath and its villages and called it Nobah, after his own name.
