BSB BSB: You are also to measure two thousand cubits outside the city on the east, two thousand on the south, two thousand on the west, and two thousand on the north, with the city in the center. These areas will serve as larger pasturelands for the cities.

BSB BSB: Six of the cities you give the Levites are to be appointed as cities of refuge, to which a manslayer may flee. In addition to these, give the Levites forty-two other cities.

9 ULB பின்னும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to Moses,

BSB BSB: You are to have these cities as a refuge from the avenger, so that the manslayer will not die until he stands trial before the assembly.

BSB BSB: These six cities will serve as a refuge for the Israelites and for the foreigner or stranger among them, so that anyone who kills a person unintentionally may flee there.

BSB BSB: or if in hostility he strikes him with his hand and he dies, the one who struck him must surely be put to death; he is a murderer. When the avenger of blood finds the murderer, he is to kill him.

BSB BSB: The assembly is to protect the manslayer from the hand of the avenger of blood. Then the assembly will return him to the city of refuge to which he fled, and he must live there until the death of the high priest, who was anointed with the holy oil.
26 ULB ஆனாலும் கொலைசெய்தவன் தான் ஓடிப்போயிருக்கிற அடைக்கலப்பட்டணத்தின் எல்லையை விட்டு வெளிப்பட்டிருக்கும்போது, BSB BSB: But if the manslayer ever goes outside the limits of the city of refuge to which he fled
27 ULB பழிவாங்குகிறவன் கொலை செய்தவனை அடைக்கலப்பட்டணத்திற்கு வெளியே கண்டுபிடித்துக்கொன்றுபோட்டால், அவன்மேல் இரத்தப்பழி இல்லை. BSB BSB: and the avenger of blood finds him outside of his city of refuge and kills him, then the avenger will not be guilty of bloodshed,
28 ULB கொலைசெய்தவன் பிரதான ஆசாரியன் மரணமடையும்வரை அடைக்கலப் பட்டணத்தில் இருக்கவேண்டும்; பிரதான ஆசாரியன் மரணமடைந்தபின்பு, தன்னுடைய சுதந்தரமான தன்னுடைய சொந்த நிலத்திற்குத் திரும்பிப்போகலாம். BSB BSB: because the manslayer must remain in his city of refuge until the death of the high priest. Only after the death of the high priest may he return to the land he owns.
29 ULB இவைகள் உங்களுடைய வீடுகளில் எங்கும் உங்களுடைய தலைமுறைதோறும் உங்களுக்கு நியாயவிதிப் பிரமாணமாக இருக்கக்கடவது. BSB BSB: This will be a statutory ordinance for you for the generations to come, wherever you live.
30 ULB எவனாவது, ஒரு மனிதனைக்கொன்றுபோட்டால், அப்பொழுது சாட்சிகளுடைய வாக்குமூலத்தின்படி அந்தக் கொலைபாதகனைக் கொலைசெய்யவேண்டும்; ஒரே சாட்சியைக்கொண்டுமட்டும் ஒரு மனிதன் சாகும்படி தீர்ப்புச்செய்யகூடாது. BSB BSB: If anyone kills a person, the murderer is to be put to death on the testimony of the witnesses. But no one is to be put to death based on the testimony of a lone witness.
32 ULB தன்னுடைய அடைக்கலப்பட்டணத்திற்கு ஓடிப்போனவன் ஆசாரியன் மரணமடையாததற்கு முன்னே தன்னுடைய நாட்டிற்குத் திரும்பிவரும்படி நீங்கள் அவனுக்காக மீட்கும் பொருளை வாங்கக்கூடாது. BSB BSB: Nor should you accept a ransom for the person who flees to a city of refuge and allow him to return and live on his own land before the death of the high priest.
33 ULB நீங்கள் இருக்கும் தேசத்தைப் பரிசுத்தக் குலைச்சலாக்காமல் இருங்கள்; இரத்தம் தேசத்தைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்தும்; இரத்தம் சிந்தினவனுடைய இரத்தத்தினாலேஅன்றி, வேறொன்றினாலும் தேசத்திலே சிந்தப்பட்ட இரத்தத்திற்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தியில்லை. BSB BSB: Do not pollute the land where you live, for bloodshed pollutes the land, and no atonement can be made for the land on which the blood is shed, except by the blood of the one who shed it.
34 ULB நீங்கள் குடியிருக்கும் என்னுடைய வாசஸ்தலமாகிய தேசத்தைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்தவேண்டாம்; கர்த்தராகிய நான் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களின் நடுவே வாழ்ந்திருக்கிறேன் என்று சொல் என்றார். BSB BSB: Do not defile the land where you live and where I dwell. For I, the LORD, dwell among the Israelites.”
