Psalm 109 (ULB)

1நான் துதிக்கும் தேவனே, மவுனமாக இருக்கவேண்டாம்.For the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. O God of my praise, be not silent.

2துன்மார்க்கனுடைய வாயும், வஞ்சகவாயும், எனக்கு விரோதமாகத் திறந்திருக்கிறது; பொய் நாவினால் என்னோடு பேசுகிறார்கள்.For wicked and deceitful mouths open against me; they speak against me with lying tongues.

3பகையுண்டாக்கும் வார்த்தைகளால் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்துகொண்டு, காரணமில்லாமல் என்னோடு போர்செய்கிறார்கள்.They surround me with hateful words and attack me without cause.

4என்னுடைய அன்புக்கு பதிலாக என்னை விரோதிக்கிறார்கள், நானோ ஜெபம் செய்து கொண்டிருக்கிறேன்.In return for my love they accuse me, but I am a man of prayer.

5நன்மைக்குப் பதிலாக எனக்குத் தீமைசெய்கிறார்கள், என்னுடைய அன்புக்குப் பதிலாக என்னைப் பகைக்கிறார்கள்.They repay me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

6அவனுக்கு மேலாகத் தீயவனை ஏற்படுத்தி வையும், சாத்தான் அவனுடைய வலதுபக்கத்தில் நிற்கட்டும்.Set over him a wicked man; let an accuser stand at his right hand.

7அவனுடைய நியாயம் விசாரிக்கப்படும்போது குற்றவாளியாகட்டும்; அவனுடைய ஜெபம் பாவமாகட்டும்.When he is tried, let him be found guilty, and may his prayer be regarded as sin.

8அவனுடைய நாட்கள் கொஞ்சமாகட்டும்; அவனுடைய வேலையை வேறொருவன் பெறட்டும்.May his days be few; may another take his position.

9அவனுடைய பிள்ளைகள் திக்கற்றவர்களும், அவனுடைய மனைவி விதவையுமாகட்டும்.May his children be fatherless and his wife a widow.

10அவனுடைய பிள்ளைகள் அலைந்து திரிந்து பிச்சையெடுத்து, தங்களுடைய பாழான வீடுகளிலிருந்து பிச்சை எடுக்கட்டும்.May his children wander as beggars, seeking sustenance far from their ruined homes.

11கடன் கொடுத்தவன் அவனுக்கு உள்ளதெல்லாவற்றையும் அபகரித்துக்கொள்ளட்டும்; அவனுடைய உழைப்பின் பலனை அந்நியர்கள் பறித்துக்கொள்ளட்டும்.May the creditor seize all he owns, and strangers plunder the fruits of his labor.

12அவனுக்கு ஒருவரும் இரக்கங்காட்டாமலும், அவனுடைய திக்கற்ற பிள்ளைகளுக்குத் தயவு செய்யாமல் போகட்டும்.May there be no one to extend kindness to him, and no one to favor his fatherless children.

13அவனுடைய சந்ததியார் அழிக்கப்படட்டும்; இரண்டாம் தலைமுறையில் அவர்களுடைய பெயர் இல்லாமல் போகட்டும்.May his descendants be cut off; may their name be blotted out from the next generation.

14அவனுடைய முன்னோர்களின் அக்கிரமம் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக நினைக்கப்படட்டும், அவனுடைய தாயின் பாவம் நீங்காமலிருக்கட்டும்.May the iniquity of his fathers be remembered before the LORD, and the sin of his mother never be blotted out.

15அவைகள் எப்பொழுதும் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக இருக்கட்டும்; அவர்களுடைய பெயர் பூமியில் இல்லாமல் அழிக்கப்படட்டும்.May their sins always remain before the LORD, that He may cut off their memory from the earth.

16அவன் தயவுசெய்ய நினைக்காமல், ஏழையும், தேவையுள்ளவனுமாகிய மனிதனைத் துன்பப்படுத்தி, மனமுறிவுள்ளவனைக் கொலைசெய்யும்படி தேடினானே.For he never thought to show kindness, but pursued the poor and needy and brokenhearted, even to their death.

17சாபத்தை விரும்பினான், அது அவனுக்கு வரும்; அவன் ஆசீர்வாதத்தை விரும்பாமற்போனான், அது அவனுக்குத் தூரமாக விலகிப்போகும்.The cursing that he loved, may it fall on him; the blessing in which he refused to delight, may it be far from him.

18சாபத்தை அவன் தனக்கு ஆடையாக உடுத்திக்கொண்டான்; அது அவனுடைய உள்ளத்தில் தண்ணீரைப்போலவும், அவனுடைய எலும்புகளில் எண்ணெயைப்போலவும் பாயும்.The cursing that he wore like a coat, may it soak into his body like water, and into his bones like oil.

19அது அவன் போர்த்துக்கொள்ளுகிற ஆடையாகவும், எப்பொழுதும் கட்டிக்கொள்ளுகிற வார்க்கச்சையாகவும் இருக்கட்டும்.May it be like a robe wrapped about him, like a belt tied forever around him.

20இதுதான் என்னை விரோதிக்கிறவர்களுக்கும், என்னுடைய ஆத்துமாவுக்கு விரோதமாகத் தீங்கு பேசுகிறவர்களுக்கும் கர்த்தரால் வரும் பிரதிபலன்.May this be the LORD’s reward to my accusers, to those who speak evil against me.

21ஆண்டவராகிய கர்த்தாவே, நீர் உமது பெயரினிமித்தம் என்னை ஆதரித்து, உமது கிருபை நலமானதினால், என்னை விடுவித்தருளும்.But You, O GOD, the Lord, deal kindly with me for the sake of Your name; deliver me by the goodness of Your loving devotion.

22நான் ஏழையும் தேவையுள்ளவனுமாக இருக்கிறேன், என்னுடைய இருதயம் எனக்குள் புண்பட்டிருக்கிறது.For I am poor and needy; my heart is wounded within me.

23சாயும் நிழலைப்போல் அகன்றுபோனேன்; வெட்டுக்கிளியைப்போல் பறக்கடிக்கப்படுகிறேன்.I am fading away like a lengthening shadow; I am shaken off like a locust.

24உபவாசத்தினால் என்னுடைய முழங்கால்கள் பலவீனமடைகிறது; என்னுடைய சரீரமும் பலமற்று உலர்ந்து போகிறது.My knees are weak from fasting, and my body grows lean and gaunt.

25நான் அவர்களுக்கு நிந்தையானேன்; அவர்கள் என்னைப் பார்த்து, தங்களுடைய தலையை அசைக்கிறார்கள்.I am an object of scorn to my accusers; when they see me, they shake their heads.

26என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே எனக்கு உதவிசெய்யும்; உமது கிருபையின்படி என்னைக் காப்பாற்றும்.Help me, O LORD my God; save me according to Your loving devotion.

27இது உமது கரம் என்றும், கர்த்தாவே, தேவனே நீர் இதைச் செய்தீர் என்றும், அவர்கள் அறிவார்களாக.Let them know that this is Your hand, that You, O LORD, have done it.

28அவர்கள் சபித்தாலும், நீர் ஆசீர்வதியும்; அவர்கள் எழும்பினாலும் வெட்கப்பட்டுப்போகட்டும்; உமது அடியானோ மகிழ்சியாக இருப்பேன்.Though they curse, You will bless. When they rise up, they will be put to shame, but Your servant will rejoice.

29என்னுடைய விரோதிகள் அவமானத்தால் மூடப்பட்டு, தங்களுடைய வெட்கத்தைச் சால்வையைப்போல் அணிந்துக்கொள்வார்களாக.May my accusers be clothed with disgrace; may they wear their shame like a robe.

30கர்த்தரை நான் என்னுடைய வாயினால் மிகவும் துதித்து, அநேகர் நடுவிலே அவரைப் புகழுவேன்.With my mouth I will thank the LORD profusely; I will praise Him in the presence of many.

31தண்டனைக்குள்ளாகத் தீர்க்கிறவர்களிடம் ஒடுக்கப்பட்டவனுடைய ஆத்துமாவை காப்பாற்றும்படி அவர் அவனுடைய வலதுபக்கத்தில் நிற்பார்.For He stands at the right hand of the needy one, to save him from the condemners of his soul.
