2 ULB ஒருவன் எந்த உணவுப்பொருளையும் சாப்பிடலாம் என்று நம்புகிறான்; பலவீனமாக உள்ளவனோ காய்கறிகளைமட்டும் சாப்பிடுகிறான். BSB BSB: For one person has faith to eat all things, while another, who is weak, eats only vegetables.
3 ULB சாப்பிடுகிறவன் சாப்பிடாமல் இருக்கிறவனை அற்பமாக நினைக்காமல் இருக்கவேண்டும்; சாப்பிடாமல் இருக்கிறவனும் சாப்பிடுகிறவனைக் குற்றவாளியாகத் தீர்க்காமல் இருக்கவேண்டும்; தேவன் அவனை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டாரே. BSB BSB: The one who eats everything must not belittle the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted him.
4 ULB மற்றொருவனுடைய வேலைக்காரனைக் குற்றவாளியாகத் தீர்க்கிறதற்கு நீ யார்? அவன் நின்றாலும் விழுந்தாலும் அவனுடைய முதலாளிக்கே அவன் பொறுப்பாளி; அவன் நிலைநிறுத்தப்படுவான்; தேவன் அவனை நிலைநிறுத்த வல்லவராக இருக்கிறாரே. BSB BSB: Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
6 ULB நாட்களை சிறப்பாக்கிக்கொள்கிறவன் கர்த்தருக்கென்று சிறப்பாக்கிக் கொள்கிறான்; நாட்களை சிறப்பாக்கிக் கொள்ளாதவனும் கர்த்தருக்கென்று சிறப்பாக்கிக் கொள்ளாமல் இருக்கிறான். சாப்பிடுகிறவன் தேவனுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம் செலுத்துகிறபடியால், கர்த்தருக்கென்று சாப்பிடுகிறான்; சாப்பிடாமல் இருக்கிறவனும் கர்த்தருக்கென்று சாப்பிடாமல், தேவனுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம் செலுத்துகிறான். BSB BSB: He who observes a special day does so to the Lord; he who eats does so to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God.
7 ULB நம்மில் ஒருவனும் தனக்கென்று பிழைக்கிறதும் இல்லை, ஒருவனும் தனக்கென்று மரிக்கிறதும் இல்லை. BSB BSB: For none of us lives to himself alone, and none of us dies to himself alone.
8 ULB நாம் பிழைத்தாலும் கர்த்தருக்கென்று பிழைக்கிறோம், நாம் மரித்தாலும் கர்த்தருக்கென்று மரிக்கிறோம்; எனவே, பிழைத்தாலும் மரித்தாலும் நாம் கர்த்தருடையவர்களாக இருக்கிறோம். BSB BSB: If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
9 ULB கிறிஸ்துவும் மரித்தவர்களுக்கும், ஜீவனுள்ளவர்களுக்கும் ஆண்டவராக இருப்பதற்காக, மரித்தும், உயிரோடு எழுந்தும், பிழைத்தும் இருக்கிறார். BSB BSB: For this reason Christ died and returned to life, that He might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.
10 ULB இப்படியிருக்க, நீ உன் சகோதரனைக் குற்றவாளி என்று தீர்க்கிறது என்ன? நீ உன் சகோதரனை அற்பமாக நினைக்கிறது என்ன? நாமெல்லோரும் கிறிஸ்துவினுடைய நியாயாசனத்திற்கு முன்பாக நிற்போமே. BSB BSB: Why, then, do you judge your brother? Or why do you belittle your brother? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat.
11 ULB அப்படியே: முழங்கால்கள் எல்லாம் எனக்கு முன்பாக முடங்கும், நாக்குகள் எல்லாம் தேவனை அறிக்கைப்பண்ணும் என்று என் ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு உரைக்கிறேன் என்பதாகக் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறது. BSB BSB: It is written: “As surely as I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow before Me; every tongue will confess to God.”
12 ULB எனவே, நம்மில் ஒவ்வொருவனும் தன்னைக்குறித்து தேவனுக்குக் கணக்கு ஒப்புவிப்பான். BSB BSB: So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.
13 ULB இப்படியிருக்க, நாம் இனிமேல் ஒருவரையொருவர் குற்றவாளிகள் என்று தீர்க்காமல் இருப்போமாக. ஒருவனும் தன் சகோதரனுக்கு முன்பாகத் தடையையும் இடறலையும் போடக்கூடாது என்று தீர்மானித்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள். BSB BSB: Therefore let us stop judging one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother’s way.
15 ULB ஆகாரத்தினாலே உன் சகோதரனுக்கு விசனம் உண்டாக்கினால், நீ அன்பாக நடக்கிறவன் இல்லை; அவனை உன் ஆகாரத்தினாலே கெடுக்காதே, கிறிஸ்து அவனுக்காக மரித்தாரே. BSB BSB: If your brother is distressed by what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy your brother, for whom Christ died.
16 ULB உங்களுடைய நல்ல செயல்கள் அவமதிக்கப்பட இடங்கொடுக்காமல் இருங்கள். BSB BSB: Do not allow what you consider good, then, to be spoken of as evil.
17 ULB தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் சாப்பிடுவதும் குடிப்பதும் இல்லை, அது நீதியும் சமாதானமும் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரால் உண்டாகும் சந்தோஷமாகவும் இருக்கிறது. BSB BSB: For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
18 ULB இவைகளிலே கிறிஸ்துவிற்கு ஊழியம் செய்கிறவன் தேவனுக்குப் பிரியமானவனும் மனிதனால் அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்டவனுமாக இருக்கிறான். BSB BSB: For whoever serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men.
19 ULB எனவே, சமாதானத்திற்குரியவைகளையும், ஐக்கிய பக்திவளர்ச்சியை உண்டாக்கக்கூடியவைகளையும் நாடுவோம். BSB BSB: So then, let us pursue what leads to peace and to mutual edification.
20 ULB ஆகாரத்திற்காக தேவனுடைய செயல்களை அழித்துப்போடாதே. எந்த உணவுப்பொருளும் சுத்தமானதுதான்; ஆனாலும் இடறல் உண்டாகச் சாப்பிடுகிறவனுக்கு அது தீமையாக இருக்கும். BSB BSB: Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a man to let his eating be a stumbling block.
21 ULB இறைச்சி சாப்பிடுவதும், மதுபானம் அருந்துகிறதும், வேறு எதையாவது செய்கிறதும், உன் சகோதரன் இடறுவதற்கோ, தவறுவதற்கோ, பலவீனப்படுகிறதற்கோ காரணமாக இருந்தால், அவைகளில் ஒன்றையும் செய்யாமல் இருப்பதே நன்மையாக இருக்கும். BSB BSB: It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything to cause your brother to stumble.
22 ULB உனக்கு விசுவாசம் இருந்தால் அது தேவனுக்குமுன்பாக உனக்குள்மட்டும் இருக்கட்டும். நல்லது என்று நிச்சயித்த விஷயத்தில் தன்னைக் குற்றவாளியாக்காதவன் பாக்கியவான். BSB BSB: Keep your belief about such matters between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who does not condemn himself by what he approves.
23 ULB ஒருவன் சந்தேகத்துடன் சாப்பிட்டால், அவன் விசுவாசம் இல்லாமல் சாப்பிடுகிறதினால், தண்டனைக்குரியவனாகத் தீர்க்கப்படுகிறான். விசுவாசத்தினாலே வராத எதுவும் பாவமே. BSB BSB: But the one who has doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and everything that is not from faith is sin.
