BSB BSB: Certainly not! Let God be true and every man a liar. As it is written: “So that You may be proved right when You speak and victorious when You judge.”
5 ULB நான் மனிதர்கள் பேசுகிறதுபோலப் பேசுகிறேன்; நம்முடைய அநீதி தேவனுடைய நீதியைக் காண்பித்தால் என்னசொல்லுவோம்? கோபத்தைக் காட்டுகிற தேவன் அநீதி உள்ளவராக இருக்கிறார் என்று சொல்லலாமா? BSB BSB: But if our unrighteousness highlights the righteousness of God, what shall we say? That God is unjust to inflict His wrath on us? I am speaking in human terms.
6 ULB அப்படிச் சொல்லக்கூடாது; அப்படிச்சொன்னால், தேவன் உலகத்தை நியாயந்தீர்ப்பது எப்படி? BSB BSB: Certainly not! In that case, how could God judge the world?
7 ULB அன்றியும், என் பொய்யினாலே தேவனுடைய சத்தியம் அவருக்கு மகிமையுண்டாக விளங்கினதுண்டானால், இனி நான் பாவி என்று தீர்க்கப்படுவது ஏன்? BSB BSB: However, if my falsehood accentuates God’s truthfulness, to the increase of His glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?
8 ULB நன்மை வருவதற்காகத் தீமைசெய்வோமாக என்றும் சொல்லலாம் அல்லவா? நாங்கள் அப்படிப் போதிக்கிறவர்கள் என்றும் சிலர் எங்களை அவமதிக்கிறார்களே; அப்படிப் போதிக்கிறவர்கள்மேல் வரும் தண்டனை நீதியாக இருக்கும். BSB BSB: Why not say, as some slanderously claim that we say, “Let us do evil that good may result”? Their condemnation is deserved!
9 ULB ஆனாலும் என்ன? அவர்களைவிட நாங்கள் விசேஷமானவர்களா? கொஞ்சம்கூட விசேஷமானவர்கள் இல்லை, யூதர்கள் கிரேக்கர்கள் எல்லோரும் பாவத்திற்கு உட்பட்டவர்கள் என்பதை முன்பே வெளிப்படுத்தினோமே. BSB BSB: What then? Are we any better? Not at all. For we have already made the charge that Jews and Greeks alike are all under sin.
10 ULB அப்படியே: ஒருவன்கூட நீதிமான் இல்லை; BSB BSB: As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one.
11 ULB உணர்வுள்ளவன் இல்லை; தேவனைத் தேடுகிறவன் இல்லை; BSB BSB: There is no one who understands, no one who seeks God.
12 ULB எல்லோரும் வழிதவறி, ஒன்றாகக் கெட்டுப்போனார்கள்; நன்மைசெய்கிறவன் இல்லை, ஒருவன்கூட இல்லை. BSB BSB: All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.”
13 ULB அவர்கள் தொண்டை திறக்கப்பட்ட சவக்குழி, தங்களுடைய நாக்குகளால் ஏமாற்றுகிறார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய உதடுகளின் கீழே பாம்பின் விஷம் இருக்கிறது; BSB BSB: “Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit.” “The venom of vipers is on their lips.”
14 ULB அவர்கள் வாய் சபிக்கிறதினாலும், கசப்பினாலும் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது; BSB BSB: “Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.”
15 ULB அவர்கள் கால்கள் இரத்தம் சிந்துகிறதற்கு அலைகிறது; BSB BSB: “Their feet are swift to shed blood;
16 ULB நாசமும், உபத்திரவமும் அவர்கள் வழிகளில் இருக்கிறது; BSB BSB: ruin and misery lie in their wake,
17 ULB சமாதான வழியை அவர்கள் தெரிந்துகொள்ளாமல் இருக்கிறார்கள்; BSB BSB: and the way of peace they have not known.”
18 ULB அவர்கள் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாகத் தெய்வபயம் இல்லை என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறதே. BSB BSB: “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
19 ULB மேலும், வாய்கள் எல்லாம் அடைக்கப்படுவதற்கும், உலகத்தார் எல்லோரும் தேவனுடைய தண்டனைத்தீர்ப்புக்கு உள்ளானவர்களாவதற்கும், நியாயப்பிரமாணம் சொல்லுகிறதெல்லாம் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திற்கு உட்பட்டிருக்கிறவர்களுக்கே சொல்லுகிறது என்று தெரிந்திருக்கிறோம். BSB BSB: Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God.
20 ULB இப்படியிருக்க, பாவத்தைத் தெரிந்துகொள்ளுகிற அறிவு நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தினால் வருகிறதினால், எந்த மனிதனும் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின் செயல்களினாலே தேவனுக்குமுன்பாக நீதிமானாக்கப்படுவது இல்லை. BSB BSB: Therefore no one will be justified in His sight by works of the law. For the law merely brings awareness of sin.
22 ULB அது இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவை விசுவாசிக்கும் விசுவாசத்தினாலே வரும் தேவநீதியே; விசுவாசிக்கிற எல்லோருக்குள்ளும் எவர்கள் மேலும் அது வரும், வித்தியாசமே இல்லை. BSB BSB: And this righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no distinction,
24 ULB இலவசமாக அவருடைய கிருபையினாலே கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவிலுள்ள மீட்பைக்கொண்டு நீதிமான்களாக்கப்படுகிறார்கள்; BSB BSB: and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
26 ULB கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவினுடைய இரத்தத்தை விசுவாசிக்கும் விசுவாசத்தினாலே வரும் கிருபாதாரபலியாக அவரையே ஏற்படுத்தினார். BSB BSB: He did this to demonstrate His righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and to justify the one who has faith in Jesus.
29 ULB தேவன் யூதர்களுக்கு மட்டுமா தேவன்? யூதரல்லாதோர்களுக்கும் தேவனல்லவா? ஆம் யூதரல்லாதோர்களுக்கும் அவர் தேவன்தான். BSB BSB: Is God the God of Jews only? Is He not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too,
30 ULB விருத்தசேதனம் உள்ளவர்களை விசுவாசத்தினாலும், விருத்தசேதனம் இல்லாதவர்களை விசுவாசத்தின் மூலமாகவும் நீதிமான்களாக்குகிற தேவன் ஒருவரே. BSB BSB: since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith.
