Exodus 2 (TELOTSA)

1ఆ రోజుల్లో లేవీ గోత్రపు పురుషుడు లేవీ స్త్రీని పెళ్ళి చేసుకున్నాడు,Now a man of the house of Levi married a Levite woman,

2ఆమె గర్భవతియై ఒక కుమారుడిని కన్నది. అతడు చక్కగా ఉండడం చూసి, ఆమె వానిని మూడు నెలలు దాచిపెట్టింది.and she conceived and gave birth to a son. When she saw that he was a beautiful child, she hid him for three months.

Then she placed the child in the basket and set it among the reeds along the bank of the Nile.

And when she saw the basket among the reeds, she sent her maidservant to retrieve it.

7అప్పుడు ఆ పిల్లవాని అక్క ఫరో కుమార్తెతో, “ఈ పిల్లవాన్ని నీకోసం పెంచడానికి నేను వెళ్లి హెబ్రీ స్త్రీలలో ఒకరిని పిలుచుకొని రమ్మంటారా?” అని అడిగింది.Then his sister said to Pharaoh’s daughter, “Shall I go and call one of the Hebrew women to nurse the child for you?”

8అందుకు ఆమె, “సరే, వెళ్లు” అన్నది. కాబట్టి ఆ అమ్మాయి వెళ్లి ఆ బిడ్డ తల్లిని తీసుకువచ్చింది.“Go ahead,” Pharaoh’s daughter told her. And the girl went and called the boy’s mother.

9ఫరో కుమార్తె ఆమెతో, “నీవు ఈ బిడ్డను తీసుకెళ్లి నా కోసం పాలిచ్చి పెంచు, నేను నీకు జీతమిస్తాను” అని చెప్పింది. ఆమె ఆ బిడ్డను తీసుకెళ్లి పెంచింది.Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, “Take this child and nurse him for me, and I will pay your wages.” So the woman took the boy and nursed him.

10పిల్లవాడు పెద్దయ్యాక, ఆమె అతన్ని ఫరో కుమార్తె దగ్గరకు తీసుకెళ్లింది, అతడు ఆమె కుమారుడయ్యాడు. “నేను అతన్ని నీటి నుండి బయటకు తీశాను” అని ఆమె అతనికి మోషే అని పేరు పెట్టింది.When the child had grown older, she brought him to Pharaoh’s daughter, and he became her son. She named him Moses and explained, “I drew him out of the water.”

He saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his own people.

12మోషే అటు ఇటు తిరిగి ఎవరూ లేకపోవడం చూసి ఆ ఈజిప్టువాన్ని చంపి ఇసుకలో దాచిపెట్టాడు.After looking this way and that and seeing no one, he struck down the Egyptian and hid his body in the sand.

13మరునాడు అతడు బయటకు వెళ్లినప్పుడు ఇద్దరు హెబ్రీయులు పోట్లాడుకోవడం చూశాడు. అతడు వారిలో తప్పు చేసినవానితో, “నీ తోటి హెబ్రీయున్ని ఎందుకు కొడుతున్నావు?” అని అడిగాడు.The next day Moses went out and saw two Hebrews fighting. He asked the one in the wrong, “Why are you attacking your companion?”

14అందుకు అతడు, “మామీద అధికారిగా న్యాయాధిపతిగా నిన్ను ఎవరు నియమించారు? ఆ ఈజిప్టువాన్ని చంపినట్లు నన్ను కూడా చంపాలని అనుకుంటున్నావా?” అన్నాడు. అప్పుడు మోషే, “నేను చేసిన పని అందరికి తెలిసిపోయింది” అని అనుకుని భయపడ్డాడు.But the man replied, “Who made you ruler and judge over us? Are you planning to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid and thought, “This thing I have done has surely become known.”

15ఫరో ఈ సంగతి విన్నప్పుడు, అతడు మోషేను చంపడానికి ప్రయత్నించాడు, కాని మోషే ఫరో దగ్గరనుండి పారిపోయి మిద్యానులో జీవించడానికి వెళ్లాడు, అక్కడ ఒక బావి దగ్గర కూర్చున్నాడు.When Pharaoh heard about this matter, he sought to kill Moses. But Moses fled from Pharaoh and settled in the land of Midian, where he sat down beside a well.

16మిద్యాను యాజకునికి ఏడుగురు కుమార్తెలు ఉన్నారు, వారు వచ్చి తమ తండ్రి మందకు నీళ్లు పెట్టడానికి నీళ్లు తోడి తొట్టెలు నింపడం మొదలుపెట్టారు.Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters, and they came to draw water and fill the troughs to water their father’s flock.

17కొంతమంది గొర్రెల కాపరులు వచ్చి వారిని తరిమివేశారు, అయితే మోషే లేచి వారిని రక్షించి వారి మందకు నీళ్లు పెట్టాడు.And when some shepherds came along and drove them away, Moses rose up to help them and watered their flock.

19అందుకు వారు, “ఒక ఈజిప్టువాడు మమ్మల్ని గొర్రెల కాపరుల బారి నుండి కాపాడాడు. అంతేకాక మాకు, మందకు నీళ్లు తోడి పెట్టాడు” అని చెప్పారు.“An Egyptian rescued us from the shepherds,” they replied. “He even drew water for us and watered the flock.”

20అందుకు రగూయేలు, “అయితే, అతడు ఎక్కడున్నాడు? అతన్ని ఎందుకు విడిచిపెట్టి వచ్చారు? అతన్ని భోజనానికి పిలుచుకొని రండి” అని తన కుమార్తెలతో అన్నాడు.“So where is he?” their father asked. “Why did you leave the man behind? Invite him to have something to eat.”

21మోషే ఆ వ్యక్తితో ఉండడానికి అంగీకరించాడు. అతడు తన కుమార్తెయైన సిప్పోరాను మోషేకిచ్చి పెళ్ళి చేశాడు.Moses agreed to stay with the man, and he gave his daughter Zipporah to Moses in marriage.

22సిప్పోరా ఒక కుమారుని కన్నది, మోషే, “నేను పరాయి దేశంలో పరదేశినయ్యాను” అని అతనికి గెర్షోము అని పేరు పెట్టాడు.And she gave birth to a son, and Moses named him Gershom, saying, “I have become a foreigner in a foreign land.”

23కొన్ని సంవత్సరాలు గడచిన తర్వాత, ఈజిప్టు రాజు చనిపోయాడు. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు తమ బానిసత్వంలో మూల్గుతూ మొరపెట్టారు, తమ బానిస చాకిరీని బట్టి వారు పెట్టిన మొర దేవుని దగ్గరకు చేరింది.After a long time, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned and cried out under their burden of slavery, and their cry for deliverance from bondage ascended to God.

24దేవుడు వారి మూల్గును విని, అబ్రాహాము ఇస్సాకు యాకోబులతో తాను చేసిన తన ఒడంబడికను జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకున్నారు.So God heard their groaning, and He remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

25దేవుడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను చూసి వారి పట్ల దయ చూపించారు.God saw the Israelites and took notice.
