4కానీ ప్రజలు గుంపుగా ఉన్నందుకు వాన్ని యేసు దగ్గరకు తీసుకుని వెళ్లలేదా, సరిగ్గా యేసు ఉన్నచోట ఇంటి పైకప్పును విప్పి పక్షవాతంగల వాన్ని చాపపై పడుకోబెట్టి క్రిందికి దింపారు.Since they were unable to get to Jesus through the crowd, they uncovered the roof above Him, made an opening, and lowered the paralytic on his mat.

5యేసు వారి విశ్వాసం చూసి, పక్షవాతం గలవానితో, “కుమారుడా, నీ పాపాలు క్షమించబడ్డాయి” అని అన్నారు.When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”

11“నేను చెప్తున్న. నీవు లేచి, నీ పరుపెత్తుకొని ఇంటికి వెళ్లు” అన్నారు.“I tell you, get up, pick up your mat, and go home.”

12అతడు లేచి, తన పరుపెత్తుకొని అందరు చూస్తుండగానే నడిచి వెళ్లాడు. అది చూసి ప్రతి ఒక్కరు ఆశ్చర్యపడి, “ఇలాంటివి ఇంతకుముందు మేము ఎప్పుడు చూడలేదు!” అని చెప్తూ దేవుని స్తుతించారు.And immediately the man got up, picked up his mat, and walked out in front of them all. As a result, they were all astounded and glorified God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”

13యేసు మరొకసారి సరస్సు తీరానికి వెళ్లారు. అక్కడ ఒక గొప్ప జనసమూహం యేసు దగ్గరకు వచ్చింది, ఆయన వారికి బోధించడం మొదలుపెట్టారు.Once again Jesus went out beside the sea. All the people came to Him, and He taught them there.

14ఆయన మార్గంలో నడుస్తుండగా, పన్ను వసూలు చేసే స్థానంలో కూర్చుని ఉన్న అల్ఫయి కుమారుడగు లేవీని చూసి, “నన్ను వెంబడించు” అని యేసు అతనితో అన్నారు, లేవీ లేచి ఆయనను వెంబడించాడు.As He was walking along, He saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax booth. “Follow Me,” He told him, and Levi got up and followed Him.

15లేవీ ఇంట్లో యేసు భోజనం చేస్తుండగా, అనేకమంది పన్ను వసూలు చేసేవారు, పాపులు ఆయనతో, ఆయన శిష్యులతో కలిసి భోజనం చేస్తున్నారు, ఆయనను వెంబడించేవారు చాలామంది అక్కడ ఉన్నారు.While Jesus was dining at Levi’s house, many tax collectors and sinners were eating with Him and His disciples—for there were many who followed Him.

17అది విని, యేసు వారితో, “రోగులకే గాని, ఆరోగ్యవంతులకు వైద్యులు అవసరం లేదు. నేను నీతిమంతులను పిలవడానికి రాలేదు, పాపులను పిలువడానికి వచ్చాను” అన్నారు.On hearing this, Jesus told them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

18యోహాను శిష్యులు పరిసయ్యులు ఉపవాసం ఉన్నారు. కొందరు వచ్చి, “యోహాను శిష్యులు పరిసయ్యుల శిష్యులు ఉపవాసం ఉంటున్నారు కాని, నీ శిష్యులు ఉండడం లేదు ఎందుకు?” అని యేసును అడిగారు.Now John’s disciples and the Pharisees were often fasting. So people came to Jesus and asked, “Why don’t Your disciples fast like John’s disciples and those of the Pharisees?”

19అందుకు యేసు, “పెండ్లికుమారుడు తమతో ఉన్నప్పుడు అతని అతిథులు ఎందుకు ఉపవాసం ఉంటారు? అతడు తమతో కూడ ఉన్నంత వరకు, వారు ఉపవాసం ఉండరు.Jesus replied, “How can the guests of the bridegroom fast while He is with them? As long as He is with them, they cannot fast.

20అయితే పెండ్లికుమారుడు వారి దగ్గర నుండి తీసుకొనిపోబడే సమయం వస్తుంది, ఆ రోజున వారు ఉపవాసం ఉంటారు.But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.

21“ఎవ్వరూ పాత బట్టకు క్రొత్త బట్ట అతుకువేసి కుట్టరు, అలా చేస్తే, క్రొత్త బట్టముక్క పాత బట్ట నుండి పిగిలిపోతూ చినుగును మరి ఎక్కువ చేస్తుంది.No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. If he does, the new piece will pull away from the old, and a worse tear will result.

22ఎవ్వరూ పాత తిత్తులలో క్రొత్త ద్రాక్షరసం పోయరు. అలా చేస్తే, ద్రాక్షరసం వలన ఆ తిత్తులు పిగిలిపోతాయి, ద్రాక్షరసం, తిత్తులు రెండూ పాడైపోతాయి. అందుకే, వారు క్రొత్త ద్రాక్షరసం క్రొత్త తిత్తులలోనే పోస్తారు” అని చెప్పారు.And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. Instead, new wine is poured into new wineskins.”

23ఒక సబ్బాతు దినాన యేసు పంటచేనుల గుండా వెళ్తున్నప్పుడు, ఆయనతో పాటు నడుస్తున్న శిష్యులు, కొన్ని కంకులు తెంపుకొని తినడం మొదలుపెట్టారు.One Sabbath Jesus was passing through the grainfields, and His disciples began to pick the heads of grain as they walked along.

24అది చూసిన పరిసయ్యులు, “చూడు, ఎందుకు వారు సబ్బాతు దినాన చేయకూడని పని చేస్తున్నారు?” అని ఆయనతో అన్నారు.So the Pharisees said to Him, “Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?”

25అందుకు ఆయన, “దావీదుకు అతనితో ఉన్నవారికి ఆకలి వేసినప్పుడు, అవసరంలో ఉన్నప్పుడు అతడు ఏమి చేశాడో మీరు చదవలేదా?Jesus replied, “Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry and in need?

27ఆయన వారితో, “మనుష్యుల కోసం సబ్బాతు దినం కాని, సబ్బాతు దినం కోసం మనుష్యులు నియమించబడలేదు.Then Jesus declared, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.

28కాబట్టి మనుష్యకుమారుడు సబ్బాతు దినానికి కూడ ప్రభువు” అని చెప్పారు.Therefore, the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”
