2 ULB ఫిలిష్తీయులు సౌలునీ అతని కొడుకులనూ వెంటపడి తరిమారు. వాళ్ళు సౌలు కొడుకులు యోనాతానునీ, అబీనాదాబునీ, మల్కీషూవనీ చంపేశారు. BSB BSB: The Philistines followed hard after Saul and his sons, and they killed Saul’s sons Jonathan, Abinadab, and Malchishua.
3 ULB సౌలుకి వ్యతిరేకంగా యుద్ధం తీవ్రమైంది. బాణాలు వేసే వాళ్ళు అతణ్ణి చూశారు. అతనిపై గురిపెట్టి బాణాలు వేసారు. సౌలుకు తీవ్ర గాయాలయ్యాడు. BSB BSB: When the battle intensified against Saul, the archers overtook him and wounded him.

So Saul took his own sword and fell on it.
5 ULB సౌలు చనిపోయాడని ఆయుధాలు మోసేవాడికి అర్థం అయింది. దాంతో వాడు కూడా తన కత్తి పట్టుకుని దానిపైన పడ్డాడు. వాడూ చనిపోయాడు. BSB BSB: When his armor-bearer saw that Saul was dead, he too fell on his own sword and died.

BSB BSB: When all the Israelites in the valley saw that the army had fled and that Saul and his sons had died, they abandoned their cities and ran away. So the Philistines came and occupied their cities.
8 ULB తరువాత రోజు చనిపోయిన వారి బట్టలనూ ఇతర వస్తువులనూ దోచుకోడానికి ఫిలిష్తీయులు వచ్చారు. అప్పుడే వాళ్ళు సౌలు, అతని కుమారులూ గిల్బోవ పర్వతంపై చనిపోయి పడి ఉండటం చూశారు. BSB BSB: The next day, when the Philistines came to strip the dead, they found Saul and his sons fallen on Mount Gilboa.
9 ULB వాళ్ళు సౌలు కవచాన్నితీసుకున్నారు. అతని తలనూ, ఆయుధాలనూ తీసుకువెళ్ళారు. తమ విగ్రహాల మధ్యా, ప్రజల మధ్యా ఈ వార్తను చాటించడానికి మనుషులను పంపారు. BSB BSB: They stripped Saul, cut off his head, took his armor, and sent messengers throughout the land of the Philistines to proclaim the news in the temple of their idols and among their people.

12 ULB అప్పుడు వాళ్ళలో శూరులైన వాళ్ళంతా అక్కడికి వెళ్ళి సౌలు శరీరాన్నీ, అతని కొడుకుల శరీరాలనూ యాబేషుకి తీసుకు వచ్చారు. వాళ్ళ ఎముకలను యాబేషులోనే ఉన్న సింధూరం చెట్టు కింద పాతిపెట్టారు. ఏడు రోజులు వాళ్ళ కోసం ఉపవాసం ఉన్నారు. BSB BSB: all their men of valor set out and retrieved the bodies of Saul and his sons and brought them to Jabesh. And they buried their bones under the oak in Jabesh and fasted seven days.
