5 ULB మీరంతా తెలియని భాషలతో మాట్లాడాలని నేను కోరుతున్నాను గాని, మీరు దైవసందేశం ప్రకటించేవారుగా ఉండాలని మరెక్కువగా కోరుతున్నాను. సంఘం అభివృద్ధి చెందడానికి భాషలతో మాట్లాడే వాడి కంటే (అర్థం చెబితే తప్ప) దేవుని పక్షంగా దేవుడు తెలియ చేసిన సందేశాన్ని ప్రకటించే వాడే గొప్పవాడు. BSB BSB: I wish that all of you could speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy. He who prophesies is greater than one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets so that the church may be edified.
6 ULB సోదరులారా, ఆలోచించండి. నేను మీ దగ్గరికి భాషలతో మాట్లాడుతూ వచ్చాననుకోండి. నా మాటలు మీకు అర్థం కాక, వాటిలో దేవుడు బయలు పరచిన విషయాలను గానీ, జ్ఞానం గానీ, దేవుడు చెప్పమన్న సందేశం గానీ, లేక ఎదైనా ఉపదేశం గానీ లేకుండా ఉంటే నా వలన మీకు ప్రయోజనమేమిటి? BSB BSB: Now, brothers, if I come to you speaking in tongues, how will I benefit you, unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or teaching?
7 ULB నిర్జీవమైన వస్తువులైన వేణువు ఊదినా, వీణ వాయించినా, అవి వేరు వేరు స్వరాలు పలకకపోతే, వాడిన వాయిద్యమేదో ఎలా తెలుస్తుంది? BSB BSB: Even in the case of lifeless instruments, such as the flute or harp, how will anyone recognize the tune they are playing unless the notes are distinct?
8 ULB బాకా స్పష్టంగా వినిపించకపోతే యుద్ధానికి ఎవరు సిద్ధపడతారు? BSB BSB: Again, if the trumpet sounds a muffled call, who will prepare for battle?
9 ULB అలాగే మీ నాలుకతో స్పష్టమైన మాటలు పలకకపోతే వినేవారికి ఏం అర్థమౌతుంది? అది మీరు గాలితో మాట్లాడుతున్నట్టే ఉంటుంది కదా! BSB BSB: So it is with you. Unless you speak intelligible words with your tongue, how will anyone know what you are saying? You will just be speaking into the air.
10 ULB లోకంలో ఎన్నో భాషలున్నా, వాటన్నిటికీ స్పష్టమైన అర్థాలు ఉంటాయి. BSB BSB: Assuredly, there are many different languages in the world, yet none of them is without meaning.
11 ULB మాటల అర్థం నాకు తెలియకపోతే మాట్లాడేవాడు నాకూ, నాకు అతడూ పరాయివారంగా ఉంటాం. BSB BSB: If, then, I do not know the meaning of someone’s language, I am a foreigner to the speaker, and he is a foreigner to me.
12 ULB మీరు ఆత్మ సంబంధమైన వరాల విషయంలో ఆసక్తిగలవారు గనుక సంఘాన్ని అభివృద్ధి పరిచే వరాలను కోరుకొని వాటిలో అమితంగా అభివృద్ధి చెందండి. BSB BSB: It is the same with you. Since you are eager to have spiritual gifts, strive to excel in gifts that build up the church.
13 ULB కాబట్టి తెలియని భాషతో మాట్లాడేవాడు దానికి అర్థం చెప్పే సామర్ధ్యం కోసం ప్రార్థన చేయాలి. BSB BSB: Therefore, the one who speaks in a tongue should pray that he may interpret.
14 ULB నేను తెలియని భాషతో ప్రార్థన చేసినపుడు నా ఆత్మ ప్రార్థన చేస్తుంది గాని నా మనసు చురుకుగా ఉండదు. BSB BSB: For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful.
15 ULB కాబట్టి నేనేం చెయ్యాలి? నా ఆత్మతో ప్రార్ధిస్తాను, మనసుతో కూడా ప్రార్ధిస్తాను. ఆత్మతో పాడతాను, మనసుతో కూడా పాడతాను. BSB BSB: What then shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind. I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind.
16 ULB అలా కాకుండా, నీవు ఆత్మతో మాత్రమే స్తుతులు చెల్లిస్తే నీవు పలికిన దాన్ని గ్రహించలేని వ్యక్తి నీవు చెప్పిన కృతజ్ఞతలకు, “ఆమేన్‌” అని చెప్పలేడు కదా! BSB BSB: Otherwise, if you speak a blessing in spirit, how can someone who is uninstructed say “Amen” to your thanksgiving, since he does not know what you are saying?
17 ULB నీకై నీవు బాగానే స్తుతులు చెల్లిస్తావు గానీ ఎదుటి వ్యక్తికి మేలు కలగదు. BSB BSB: You may be giving thanks well enough, but the other one is not edified.
18 ULB దేవునికి స్తుతులు! నేను మీ అందరికంటే ఎక్కువగా తెలియని భాషలతో మాట్లాడతాను. BSB BSB: I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you.
19 ULB అయినా సంఘంలో తెలియని భాషతో పదివేల మాటలు పలకడం కంటే, ఇతరులకు ఉపదేశం దొరికేలా నా మనసుతో ఐదు మాటలు చెప్పడం మంచిది. BSB BSB: But in the church, I would rather speak five coherent words to instruct others than ten thousand words in a tongue.
20 ULB సోదరులారా, ఆలోచనలో చిన్న పిల్లల్లాగా ఉండవద్దు. చెడు విషయంలో పసివారిలాగా ఉండండి గానీ ఆలోచించడంలో పరిణతి చెందినవారుగా ఉండండి. BSB BSB: Brothers, stop thinking like children. In regard to evil be infants, but in your thinking be mature.
21 ULB ధర్మశాస్త్రంలో ఇలా రాసి ఉంది, “తెలియని భాషలు మాట్లాడే ప్రజల ద్వారా, తెలియని మనుషుల పెదవుల ద్వారా, ఈ ప్రజలతో మాట్లాడతాను. అయినప్పటికీ వారు నా మాట వినరు అని ప్రభువు చెబుతున్నాడు.” BSB BSB: It is written in the Law: “By strange tongues and foreign lips I will speak to this people, but even then they will not listen to Me, says the Lord.”

23 ULB సంఘమంతా ఒకేసారి తెలియని భాషలతో మాట్లాడుతున్నప్పుడు, బయటి వ్యక్తులు లేక అవిశ్వాసులు లోపలికి వచ్చి చూస్తే మిమ్మల్ని వెర్రివారు అని చెప్పుకొంటారు కదా? BSB BSB: So if the whole church comes together and everyone speaks in tongues, and some who are uninstructed or some unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your minds?
24 ULB అయితే అందరూ దేవుడిచ్చిన సందేశాన్ని ప్రకటిస్తూ ఉంటే బయటి వ్యక్తి లేక అవిశ్వాసి లోపలికి వచ్చి చూస్తే మీ అందరి ఉపదేశం వలన తాను పాపినని గ్రహిస్తాడు, అందరి మూలంగా అతనికి ఒప్పుదల కలుగుతుంది. BSB BSB: But if an unbeliever or uninstructed person comes in while everyone is prophesying, he will be convicted and called to account by all,
25 ULB అప్పుడతని హృదయ రహస్యాలు బయలుపడతాయి. అప్పుడతడు సాగిలపడి దేవుణ్ణి ఆరాధించి, దేవుడు నిజంగా మీలో ఉన్నాడని ప్రకటిస్తాడు. BSB BSB: and the secrets of his heart will be made known. So he will fall facedown and worship God, proclaiming, “God is truly among you!”

BSB BSB: What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together, everyone has a psalm or a teaching, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. All of these must be done to build up the church.
27 ULB ఎవరైనా తెలియని భాషతో మాట్లాడితే, ఇద్దరు, అవసరమైతే ముగ్గురికి మించకుండా, ఒకరి తరువాత ఒకరు మాట్లాడాలి. ఒకరు దానికి అర్థం చెప్పాలి. BSB BSB: If anyone speaks in a tongue, two, or at most three, should speak in turn, and someone must interpret.
28 ULB అర్థం చెప్పేవాడు లేకపోతే అతడు సంఘంలో మౌనంగా ఉండాలి. అయితే అతడు తనతో, దేవునితో మాట్లాడుకోవచ్చు. BSB BSB: But if there is no interpreter, he should remain silent in the church and speak only to himself and God.

30 ULB అయితే అక్కడ కూర్చున్న మరొకనికి ఏదైనా వెల్లడి అయితే మొదటివాడు మౌనంగా ఉండాలి. BSB BSB: And if a revelation comes to someone who is seated, the first speaker should stop.
31 ULB అందరూ నేర్చుకొనేలా, ప్రోత్సాహం పొందేలా మీరంతా ఒకడి తరవాత ఒకడు దేవుడిచ్చిన సందేశం ప్రకటించ వచ్చు. BSB BSB: For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged.
32 ULB ప్రవక్తల ఆత్మలు ప్రవక్తల స్వాధీనంలో ఉన్నాయి. BSB BSB: The spirits of prophets are subject to prophets.
33 ULB ఎందుకంటే దేవుడు శాంతి సమాధానాలు కలిగించే వాడే గాని గందరగోళం కలిగించేవాడు కాడు. పరిశుద్ధుల సంఘాలన్నిటిలో BSB BSB: For God is not a God of disorder, but of peace—as in all the churches of the saints.
35 ULB వారు దేనినైనా తెలుసుకోవాలంటే వారి ఇంట్లో తమ భర్తలను అడగాలి. సంఘంలో స్త్రీ మాట్లాడడం అవమానకరం. BSB BSB: If they wish to inquire about something, they are to ask their own husbands at home; for it is dishonorable for a woman to speak in the church.
36 ULB ఏం, దేవుని వాక్కు మీ నుండే బయలుదేరిందా? మీ దగ్గరికి మాత్రమే వచ్చిందా? BSB BSB: Did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the only ones it has reached?
37 ULB ఎవరైనా తాను ప్రవక్తననీ లేక ఆత్మీయ వ్యక్తిననీ భావిస్తే ఇక్కడ నేను మీకు రాస్తున్నవి ప్రభువు చెప్పిన ఆజ్ఞలని అతడు కచ్చితంగా తెలుసుకోవాలి. BSB BSB: If anyone considers himself a prophet or spiritual person, let him acknowledge that what I am writing you is the Lord’s command.
38 ULB ఎవరైనా దీన్ని పట్టించుకోక పొతే అ వ్యక్తిని పట్టించుకోకండి. BSB BSB: But if anyone ignores this, he himself will be ignored.
39 ULB కాబట్టి నా సోదరులారా, దేవుడిచ్చిన సందేశం ప్రకటించడం అనే వరాన్ని ఆసక్తితో కోరుకోండి. తెలియని భాషలతో మాట్లాడటాన్ని ఆపకండి. BSB BSB: So, my brothers, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues.
40 ULB అంతా మర్యాదగా, క్రమంగా జరగనీయండి. BSB BSB: But everything must be done in a proper and orderly manner.
