BSB BSB: My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate before the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.
2 ULB మన పాపాలకు మాత్రమే కాకుండా, సర్వలోక పాపాలకూ ఆయనే పరిహారం. BSB BSB: He Himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
3 ULB ఆయన ఆజ్ఞలు మనం పాటిస్తూ ఉంటే, ఆయనను మనం ఎరిగినవారం అని మనకు తెలుస్తుంది. BSB BSB: By this we can be sure that we have come to know Him: if we keep His commandments.
4 ULB "నాకు దేవుడు తెలుసు" అని చెబుతూ, ఆయన ఆజ్ఞలు పాటించనివాడు అబద్ధికుడు. BSB BSB: If anyone says, “I know Him,” but does not keep His commandments, he is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5 ULB కాని, ఎవరైనా ఆయన వాక్కు ప్రకారం నడుస్తూ ఉంటే, నిజంగా అతనిలో దేవుని ప్రేమ సంపూర్ణం అయ్యింది BSB BSB: But if anyone keeps His word, the love of God has been truly perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him:
6 ULB ఆయనలో ఉన్నానని చెప్పేవాడు, యేసు క్రీస్తు ఎలా నడుచుకోన్నాడో, అలాగే నడుచుకోవాలి. BSB BSB: Whoever claims to abide in Him must walk as Jesus walked.

9 ULB తాను వెలుగులో ఉన్నానని చెప్పుకుంటూ, తన సోదరుణ్ణి ద్వేషించేవాడు ఇప్పటికీ చీకటిలోనే ఉన్నాడు. BSB BSB: If anyone claims to be in the light but hates his brother, he is still in the darkness.
10 ULB తన సోదరుణ్ణి ప్రేమించేవాడు వెలుగులో ఉన్నాడు. అతను తడబడి పడిపోయే అవకాశం లేదు. BSB BSB: Whoever loves his brother remains in the light, and there is no cause of stumbling in him.
11 ULB కాని తన సోదరుణ్ణి ద్వేషించేవాడు చీకట్లో ఉన్నాడు. చీకట్లోనే నడుస్తూ ఉన్నాడు. చీకటి అతణ్ణి గుడ్డివానిగా చేసింది కాబట్టి అతడు ఎక్కడికి వెళ్తున్నాడో అతనికి తెలియదు. BSB BSB: But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness. He does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
12 ULB ప్రియమైన చిన్నపిల్లలారా! ఆయన నామంలో మీ పాపాలకు క్షమాపణ దొరికింది కాబట్టి మీకు రాస్తున్నాను. BSB BSB: I am writing to you, little children, because your sins have been forgiven through His name.
13 ULB తండ్రులారా, ఆరంభం నుంచీ ఉన్నవాడు మీకు తెలుసు కాబట్టి మీకు రాస్తున్నాను. యువకులారా, మీరు సైతానుని ఓడించారు కాబట్టి మీకు రాస్తున్నాను. BSB BSB: I am writing to you, fathers, because you know Him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I have written to you, children, because you know the Father.
14 ULB చిన్నపిల్లల్లారా, మీరు తండ్రిని తెలుసుకొని ఉన్నారు కాబట్టి మీకు రాస్తున్నాను. తండ్రులారా, ఆరంభం నుంచీ ఉన్నవాడు మీకు తెలుసు కాబట్టి మీకు రాస్తున్నాను. యువకులారా, మీరు బలవంతులు, దేవుని వాక్కు మీలో నిలిచి ఉంది, మీరు సైతానుని ఓడించారు, అందుకే మీకు రాస్తున్నాను. BSB BSB: I have written to you, fathers, because you know Him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.
15 ULB ఈ లోకాన్నిగానీ, ఈ లోకంలో ఉన్నవాటినిగానీ ప్రేమించకండి. ఎవరైనా ఈ లోకాన్ని ప్రేమిస్తే, పరమ తండ్రి ప్రేమ ఆ వ్యక్తిలో లేనట్టే. BSB BSB: Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 ULB ఈ లోకంలో ఉన్నవన్నీ, అంటే, శరీరాశ, నేత్రాశ, ఇంకా ఈ జీవిత దురహంకారం, ఇవి తండ్రి సంబంధమైనవి కాదు. BSB BSB: For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not from the Father but from the world.

23 ULB కుమారుణ్ణి నిరాకరించిన ప్రతివాడికీ తండ్రి లేనట్టే. కుమారుణ్ణి అంగీకరించిన వాడికి తండ్రి ఉన్నట్టే. BSB BSB: Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father, but whoever confesses the Son has the Father as well.
24 ULB మీరైతే, మొదటినుండీ ఏది విన్నారో అది మీలో నిలిచిపోయేలా చూసుకోండి. మొదటినుండీ విన్నది అలాగే నిలిచి ఉంటే, మీరు కుమారునిలో, తండ్రిలో నిలిచి ఉంటారు. BSB BSB: As for you, let what you have heard from the beginning remain in you. If it does, you will also remain in the Son and in the Father.
25 ULB ఆయన మనకు శాశ్వత జీవాన్ని వాగ్దానం చేసాడు. BSB BSB: And this is the promise that He Himself made to us: eternal life.
26 ULB ఇవన్నీ, మిమ్మల్ని తప్పు దారి పట్టించే వాళ్ళని గురించి రాశాను. BSB BSB: I have written these things to you about those who are trying to deceive you.
27 ULB ఇక మీ విషయంలో, ఆయన నుండి అందుకున్న అభిషేకం మీలో నిలిచి ఉంది కాబట్టి, ఎవ్వరూ మీకు ఉపదేశం చెయ్యవలసిన అవసరం లేదు. ఆయన అభిషేకం అన్నిటిని గూర్చి మీకు ఉపదేశం చేస్తుంది. ఆ అభిషేకం సత్యం. అది అబద్ధం కాదు. అది మీకు ఉపదేశం చేసిన విధంగా మీరు ఆయనలో నిలిచి ఉండండి BSB BSB: And as for you, the anointing you received from Him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But just as His true and genuine anointing teaches you about all things, so remain in Him as you have been taught.
28 ULB కాబట్టి పిల్లలూ, ఆయన రాకడలో ఆయన ప్రత్యక్షం అయినప్పుడు, ఆయన ముందు సిగ్గుపాలు కాకుండా ధైర్యంతో నిలబడగలిగేలా ఆయనలో నిలిచి ఉండండి. BSB BSB: And now, little children, remain in Christ, so that when He appears, we may be confident and unashamed before Him at His coming.
29 ULB ఆయన నీతిమంతుడు అని మీకు తెలుసు కాబట్టి, నీతిని అనుసరించే వాళ్ళందరూ ఆయన వల్ల పుట్టినవారని కూడా మీకు తెలుసు. BSB BSB: If you know that He is righteous, you also know that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of Him.
