1 Samuel 30 (ULB)

1దావీదు, అతనితో ఉన్నవారు మూడవ రోజున సిక్లగు వచ్చారు. అంతలో అమాలేకీయులు దండెత్తి దక్షిణ దేశం మీదా సిక్లగు మీదా దాడిచేసి, దోచుకుని సిక్లగు ప్రజలను ఓడించి, ఊరు తగలబెట్టి,On the third day David and his men arrived in Ziklag, and the Amalekites had raided the Negev, attacked Ziklag, and burned it down.

2పెద్దలనూ పిల్లలనూ అందులో ఉన్న స్త్రీలతో సహా చంపకుండా చెరబట్టి తీసుకుపోయారు.They had taken captive the women and all who were there, both young and old. They had not killed anyone, but had carried them off as they went on their way.

6దావీదు చాలా దుఃఖపడ్డాడు. తమ తమ కొడుకులూ కూతుర్లను బట్టి వారందరికీ ప్రాణం విసికి పోయి దావీదును రాళ్లు రువ్వి చంపాలని చెప్పుకున్నారు. దావీదు తన దేవుడు, యెహోవాను బట్టి ధైర్యం తెచ్చుకున్నాడు.And David was greatly distressed because the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of every man grieved for his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the LORD his God.

7అప్పుడు దావీదు ఏఫోదు తెమ్మని యాజకుడైన అహీమెలెకు కుమారుడు అబ్యాతారుతో చెప్పాడు. అబ్యాతారు ఏఫోదును దావీదు దగ్గరికి తీసుకు వచ్చాడు.Then David said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Ahimelech, “Bring me the ephod.” So Abiathar brought it to him,

8<<నేను ఈ సేనను తరిమితే దాని కలుసుకోగలుగుతానా?>> అని యెహోవా దగ్గర దావీదు విచారణ చేశాడు. అందుకు యెహోవా <<తరుము, తప్పకుండా నీవు వాళ్ళని కలుసుకుని నీవారినందరినీ విడిపించుకుంటావు>> అని చెప్పాడు.and David inquired of the LORD: “Should I pursue these raiders? Will I overtake them?” “Pursue them,” the LORD replied, “for you will surely overtake them and rescue the captives.”

9కాబట్టి దావీదు, అతనితో ఉన్న 600 మంది బయలుదేరి, బెసోరు వాగు గట్టుకు వస్తే వారిలో 200 మంది ఆగిపోయారు.So David and his six hundred men went to the Brook of Besor, where some stayed behind

10దావీదు, ఇంకా 400 మంది తరుముతూ పోయారు గానీ ఆ 200 మంది అలిసి పోయి బెసోరు వాగు దాటలేక ఆగిపోయారు. ఆ 400 మంది పోతుంటేbecause two hundred men were too exhausted to cross the brook. But David and four hundred men continued in pursuit.

So he ate and was revived, for he had not had any food or water for three days and three nights.

13అప్పుడు దావీదు <<నీవు ఏ దేశం వాడివి? ఎక్కడనుండి వచ్చావు?>> అని అడిగాడు. అందుకు వాడు <<నేను ఐగుప్తు వాణ్ణి. ఒక అమాలేకీయుడికి బానిసనయ్యాను. మూడు రోజుల క్రితం నాకు జబ్బు చేసింది. నా యజమాని నన్ను వదిలి వెళ్ళిపోయాడు.Then David asked him, “To whom do you belong, and where are you from?” “I am an Egyptian,” he replied, “the slave of an Amalekite. My master abandoned me three days ago when I fell ill.

14మేము దండెత్తి కెరేతీ జాతి వారుండే దక్షిణ దేశానికి, యూదా దేశానికి, కాలేబు దక్షిణ దేశానికి వచ్చి వాటిని దోచుకుని సిక్లగును కాల్చివేశాం>> అని చెప్పాడు.We raided the Negev of the Cherethites, the territory of Judah, and the Negev of Caleb, and we burned down Ziklag.”

15<<ఆ దోపిడీ గుంపును కలుసుకొనేందుకు నీవు నాకు దారి చూపుతావా>> అని దావీదు అడిగితే అతడు <<నేను నిన్ను చంపననీ నీ యజమాని వశం చేయననీ దేవుని పేరున నాకు మాట ఇస్తే ఆ గుంపును కలుసుకోవడానికి నీకు దారి చూపుతాను>> అన్నాడు.“Will you lead me to these raiders?” David asked. And the man replied, “Swear to me by God that you will not kill me or deliver me into the hand of my master, and I will lead you to them.”

16తరువాత వాడు వారి దగ్గరికి దావీదును తోడుకుని పోయాడు. ఆ దోపిడీ వారు ఫిలిష్తీయుల దేశంలోనుండి, యూదా దేశం లోనుండి తాము దోచి తెచ్చుకొన్న కొల్ల సొమ్ముతో, ఆ ప్రదేశమంతా చెల్లాచెదరుగా తింటూ, తాగుతూ ఆటపాటల్లో ఉన్నారు.So he led David down, and there were the Amalekites spread out over all the land, eating, drinking, and celebrating the great amount of plunder they had taken from the land of the Philistines and the land of Judah.

17దావీదు అదను కనిపెట్టి సంధ్యవేళ మొదలు మరునాటి సాయంత్రం వరకూ వారిని చంపుతూ ఉంటే ఒంటెల మీద ఎక్కి పారిపోయిన 400 మంది యువకులు తప్ప ఒక్కడు కూడా తప్పించుకొన్నవాడు లేకపోయాడు.And David struck them down from twilight until the evening of the next day. Not a man escaped, except four hundred young men who fled, riding off on camels.

18ఇలా దావీదు అమాలేకీయులు దోచుకు పోయిన దానంతటినీ తిరిగి తెచ్చుకున్నాడు. అంతేకాదు, అతడు తన ఇద్దరు భార్యలను కూడా రక్షించుకున్నాడు.So David recovered everything the Amalekites had taken, including his two wives.

19కొడుకులూ కూతుర్లూ దోపుడు సొమ్ము, ఇలా వారు ఎత్తుకుపోయిన దానంతటిలో ఏదీ తక్కువ కాకుండా మొత్తం దావీదు దక్కించుకున్నాడు.Nothing was missing, young or old, son or daughter, or any of the plunder the Amalekites had taken. David brought everything back.

20దావీదు ఇంకా అమాలేకీయుల గొర్రెలన్నిటినీ గొడ్లన్నిటినీ చేజిక్కించుకున్నాడు. ఇవి దావీదుకు దోపుడు సొమ్ము అని భావించి తక్కిన వారు మిగిలిన తమ సొంత పశువులకు ముందుగా వీటిని తోలారు.And he took all the flocks and herds, which his men drove ahead of the other livestock, calling out, “This is David’s plunder!”

21అలిసి పోయి దావీదుతో కలిసి రాలేక బెసోరు వాగు దగ్గర నిలిచిపోయిన ఆ 200 మంది దగ్గరకి దావీదు తిరిగి వెళ్ళాడు. వారు దావీదును అతనితో ఉన్నవారిని ఎదుర్కొనడానికి బయలుదేరి వచ్చారు. దావీదు వారి దగ్గరకి వచ్చి వారి యోగక్షేమాలు అడిగాడు.When David came to the two hundred men who had been too exhausted to follow him and who were left behind at the Brook of Besor, they came out to meet him and the troops with him. As David approached the men, he greeted them,

22దావీదుతో కూడా వెళ్లిన వారిలో దుష్టులు, పనికిమాలిన వారు కొంతమంది <<వీళ్ళు మనతో కూడా రాలేదు గనక వారి భార్యలనూ పిల్లలనూ తప్ప మనకు దక్కిన దోపుడు సొమ్ములో ఏమీ వీరికి ఇవ్వనక్కర లేదు. తమ భార్య పిల్లలను మాత్రం వారు తీసికోవచ్చు>> అన్నారు.but all the wicked and worthless men among those who had gone with David said, “Because they did not go with us, we will not share with them the plunder we recovered, except for each man’s wife and children. They may take them and go.”

23అందుకు దావీదు వారితో <<నా సోదరులారా, యెహోవా మనలను కాపాడి మనమీదికి వచ్చిన ఈ దండును మన వశం చేసి, మనకు దయచేసిన కొల్ల సొమ్ము విషయంలో మీరు ఇలా చేయడం తగదు.But David said, “My brothers, you must not do this with what the LORD has given us. He has protected us and delivered into our hands the raiders who came against us.

24మీరంటున్నది ఎవరు ఒప్పుకుంటారు? యుద్దానికి పోయినవాడికీ సామాను దగ్గర కావలి ఉన్న వాడికి ఒకటే భాగం కదా. అందరూ సమానంగానే పాలు పంచుకుంటారు గదా>>Who will listen to your proposal? The share of the one who went to battle will match the share of the one who stayed with the supplies. They will share alike.”

25ఆ విధంగా అప్పటి నుండి ఇప్పటి వరకూ దావీదు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల్లో అలాటి పంపకం కట్టడగా న్యాయవిధిగా ఏర్పరచి నియమించాడు.And so it has been from that day forward. David established this statute and ordinance for Israel to this very day.

26దావీదు సిక్లగుకు చేరుకుని దోపుడు సొమ్ములో కొంత తన స్నేహితులైన యూదా పెద్దలకు పంపించాడు. యెహోవా శత్రువులనుండి నేను దోచుకొన్న సొమ్ములో కొంత కానుకగా మీకు ఇస్తున్నానని చెప్పి వారికి పంపించాడు.When David arrived in Ziklag, he sent some of the plunder to his friends, the elders of Judah, saying, “Here is a gift for you from the plunder of the LORD’s enemies.”

27బేతేలులో, దక్షిణ రామోతులో, యత్తీరులో,He sent gifts to those in Bethel, Ramoth Negev, and Jattir;

28అరోయేరులో, షిప్మోతులో, ఎష్టేమోలో,to those in Aroer, Siphmoth, and Eshtemoa;

29రాకాలులో, యెరహ్మెయేలీయుల గ్రామాల్లో, కేనీయుల గ్రామాల్లో,to those in Racal and in the cities of the Jerahmeelites and Kenites;

30హోర్మాలో బోరాషానులో, అతాకులోto those in Hormah, Bor-ashan, and Athach;

31హెబ్రోనులో దావీదూ అతని మనుషులూ తిరుగాడిన స్థలాలన్నిటిలో ఉన్న పెద్దలకు దావీదు ఇలా పంపించాడు.and to those in Hebron and in all the places where David and his men had roamed.
