1 ULB ఆసా పరిపాలనలో 36 వ సంవత్సరంలో ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజు బయెషా యూదావారి మీద దండెత్తి వచ్చి యూదా రాజు ఆసా దగ్గరికి రాకపోకలు జరగకుండేలా రమా పట్టణాన్ని కట్టించాడు. BSB BSB: In the thirty-sixth year of Asa’s reign, Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah and fortified Ramah to prevent anyone from leaving or entering the territory of Asa king of Judah.
2 ULB ఆసా యెహోవా మందిరంలో, రాజనగరంలో ఉన్న ఖజానాల్లోని వెండి బంగారాలను తీసి, దమస్కులో నివసించే ఆరాము రాజు బెన్హదదు దగ్గరకి దూతల చేత పంపించాడు. BSB BSB: So Asa withdrew the silver and gold from the treasuries of the house of the LORD and the royal palace, and he sent it with this message to Ben-hadad king of Aram, who was ruling in Damascus:

BSB BSB: “Let there be a treaty between me and you as there was between my father and your father. See, I have sent you silver and gold. Now go and break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel, so that he will withdraw from me.”

BSB BSB: At that time Hanani the seer came to King Asa of Judah and told him, “Because you have relied on the king of Aram and not on the LORD your God, the army of the king of Aram has escaped from your hand.
8 ULB ఇంతకు ముందు లెక్క లేనన్ని రథాలు, గుర్రపు రౌతులు గల ఇతియోపీయులు, లూబీయులు గొప్ప సైన్యంగా వచ్చారు గదా? అయినా నువ్వు యెహోవాను నమ్ముకోవడం వలన ఆయన వారిని నీ వశం చేశాడు. BSB BSB: Were not the Cushites and Libyans a vast army with many chariots and horsemen? Yet because you relied on the LORD, He delivered them into your hand.
9 ULB తన పట్ల యథార్థ హృదయం గలవారిని బలపరచడానికి యెహోవా కనుదృష్టి లోకమంతా సంచరిస్తూ ఉంది. ఈ విషయంలో నువ్వు బుద్ధిహీనంగా ప్రవర్తించావు కాబట్టి ఇప్పటినుండి నీకు అన్నీ యుద్ధాలే.>> BSB BSB: For the eyes of the LORD roam to and fro over all the earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are fully devoted to Him. You have acted foolishly in this matter. From now on, therefore, you will be at war.”
10 ULB ఆ దీర్ఘదర్శి చేసిన ఈ ప్రకటనకి ఆసా అతని మీద కోపగించి ఆగ్రహంతో అతణ్ణి ఖైదులో వేశాడు. అదే సమయంలో ఆసా ప్రజల్లో కొంతమందిని బాధపరిచాడు కూడా. BSB BSB: Asa was angry with the seer and became so enraged over this matter that he put the man in prison. And at the same time Asa oppressed some of the people.
11 ULB ఆసా చేసిన పనులన్నిటిని గూర్చి యూదా, ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజుల గ్రంథంలో రాసి ఉంది. BSB BSB: Now the acts of Asa, from beginning to end, are indeed written in the Book of the Kings of Judah and Israel.
12 ULB ఆసా తన పాలనలో 39 వ సంవత్సరంలో అతనికి పాదాల్లో జబ్బు పుట్టింది. దానితో అతడు చాలా బాధపడినప్పటికీ దాని విషయంలో యెహోవా సహాయం కోరకుండా వైద్యులను నమ్ముకున్నాడు. BSB BSB: In the thirty-ninth year of his reign, Asa became diseased in his feet, and his disease became increasingly severe. Yet even in his illness he did not seek the LORD, but only the physicians.
13 ULB ఆసా తన పూర్వీకులతో కన్నుమూసి తన పాలనలో 41 వ సంవత్సరంలో చనిపోయాడు. BSB BSB: So in the forty-first year of his reign, Asa died and rested with his fathers.
14 ULB ప్రజలు నిపుణత గలవారు సిద్ధం చేసిన సుగంధ, పరిమళ ద్రవ్యాలతో నిండిన పాడె మీద అతణ్ణి ఉంచారు. దావీదు పట్టణంలో అతడు తన కోసం తొలిపించుకొన్న సమాధిలో అతణ్ణి పాతిపెట్టారు. అతని గౌరవార్థం గొప్ప అగ్నిజ్వాల రగిలించారు. BSB BSB: And he was buried in the tomb that he had cut out for himself in the City of David. They laid him on a bier that was full of spices and various blended perfumes; then they made a great fire in his honor.
