1 ULB ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజలారా, మిమ్మల్ని గురించి నేను దుఃఖంతో చెప్పే ఈ మాట వినండి. BSB BSB: Hear this word, O house of Israel, this lamentation I take up against you:

3 ULB యెహోవా ప్రభువు చెప్పేదేమిటంటే, <<ఇశ్రాయేలు వారిలో ఒక పట్టణం నుంచి వెయ్యి మంది బయలుదేరితే వంద మంది మాత్రమే తప్పించుకుని వస్తారు. వంద మంది బయలుదేరితే పది మంది మాత్రమే తప్పించుకుని వస్తారు.>> BSB BSB: This is what the Lord GOD says: “The city that marches out a thousand strong will have but a hundred left, and the one that marches out a hundred strong will have but ten left in the house of Israel.”
4 ULB ఇశ్రాయేలీయులతో యెహోవా ఇలా చెబుతున్నాడు, <<నన్ను వెతికి జీవించండి. BSB BSB: For this is what the LORD says to the house of Israel: “Seek Me and live!
5 ULB బేతేలును ఆశ్రయించవద్దు. గిల్గాలులో అడుగు పెట్టవద్దు. బెయేర్షెబాకు పోవద్దు. గిల్గాలు వారు తప్పకుండా బందీలవుతారు. బేతేలుకు ఇక దుఖమే.>> BSB BSB: Do not seek Bethel or go to Gilgal; do not journey to Beersheba, for Gilgal will surely go into exile, and Bethel will come to nothing.
6 ULB యెహోవాను ఆశ్రయించి జీవించండి. లేకపోతే ఆయన యోసేపు వంశం మీద నిప్పులాగా పడతాడు. అది దహించి వేస్తుంది. బేతేలులో ఎవరూ దాన్ని ఆర్పలేరు. BSB BSB: Seek the LORD and live, or He will sweep like fire through the house of Joseph; it will devour everything, with no one at Bethel to extinguish it.
7 ULB వాళ్ళు న్యాయాన్ని భ్రష్టం చేసి, నీతిని నేలపాలు చేస్తున్నారు. BSB BSB: There are those who turn justice into wormwood and cast righteousness to the ground.
8 ULB ఆయన నక్షత్ర మండలాలను చేసిన వాడు. చీకటిని తెలవారేలా చేసేవాడు. పగటిని రాత్రి చీకటిగా మార్చేవాడు. సముద్రపు నీటిని మబ్బుల్లాగా చేసి భూమి మీద కుమ్మరిస్తాడు. 9 ULB ఆయన పేరు యెహోవా. బలవంతుల మీదికి ఆయన అకస్మాత్తుగా నాశనం రప్పిస్తే కోటలు నాశనమవుతాయి. BSB BSB: He flashes destruction on the strong, so that fury comes upon the stronghold.
10 ULB పట్టణ గుమ్మం దగ్గర బుద్ధి చెప్పే వారిని వాళ్ళు అసహ్యించుకుంటారు. యథార్థంగా మాట్లాడే వారిని ఏవగించుకుంటారు. BSB BSB: There are those who hate the one who reproves in the gate and despise him who speaks with integrity.
11 ULB మీరు పేదలను అణగదొక్కుతూ ధాన్యం ఇమ్మని వారిని బలవంతం చేస్తారు, కాబట్టి మీరు చెక్కిన రాళ్ళతో ఇళ్ళు కట్టుకున్నా వాటిలో నివసించరు. మీకు చక్కటి ద్రాక్ష తోటలు ఉన్నా ఆ ద్రాక్ష మద్యం తాగరు. 12 ULB మీ నేరాలెన్నో నాకు తెలుసు. మీ పాపాలు ఎంత భయంకరమైనవో నాకు తెలుసు. మీరు లంచాలు తీసుకుని తప్పుచేయని వారిని బాధిస్తారు. ఊరి గుమ్మం దగ్గర పేదలను పట్టించుకోరు. 14 ULB మీరు బతికేలా చెడు విడిచి మంచి వెతకండి. అలా చేస్తే మీరనుకున్నట్టు యెహోవా, సేనల అధిపతి అయిన దేవుడు తప్పకుండా మీతో ఉంటాడు. BSB BSB: Seek good, not evil, so that you may live. And the LORD, the God of Hosts, will be with you, as you have claimed.
15 ULB చెడును ద్వేషించి మంచిని ప్రేమించండి. పట్టణ గుమ్మాల్లో న్యాయాన్ని స్థిరపరచండి. ఒకవేళ యెహోవా, సేనల అధిపతి అయిన దేవుడు యోసేపు వంశంలో మిగిలిన వారిని కనికరిస్తాడేమో. BSB BSB: Hate evil and love good; establish justice in the gate. Perhaps the LORD, the God of Hosts, will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.”
16 ULB అందుచేత యెహోవా ప్రభువు, సేనల అధిపతి అయిన దేవుడు చెప్పేదేమిటంటే, <<ప్రతి రాజమార్గంలో ఏడుపు ఉంటుంది. ప్రతి నడివీధిలో ప్రజలు చేరి <అయ్యో! అయ్యో> అంటారు. ఏడవడానికి, వాళ్ళు రైతులను పిలుస్తారు. దుఖపడే నేర్పు గలవారిని ఏడవడానికి పిలిపిస్తారు. BSB BSB: Therefore this is what the LORD, the God of Hosts, the Lord, says: “There will be wailing in all the public squares and cries of ‘Alas! Alas!’ in all the streets. The farmer will be summoned to mourn, and the mourners to wail.
17 ULB ద్రాక్షతోటలన్నిటిలో ఏడుపు తీవ్రంగా ఉంటుంది. ఎందుకంటే నేను మీ మధ్యగా వెళతాను.>> BSB BSB: There will be wailing in all the vineyards, for I will pass through your midst,” says the LORD.
18 ULB యెహోవా తీర్పు దినం రావాలని ఆశించే మీకు ఎంతో బాధ. యెహోవా తీర్పు దినం కోసం ఎందుకు ఆశిస్తారు? అది వెలుగుగా ఉండదు, చీకటిగా ఉంటుంది. BSB BSB: Woe to you who long for the Day of the LORD! What will the Day of the LORD be for you? It will be darkness and not light.
19 ULB ఒకడు సింహం నుంచి తప్పించుకుంటే ఎలుగుబంటి ఎదురు పడినట్టు, లేకపోతే ఒకడు ఇంట్లోకి పోయి, గోడ మీద చెయ్యివేస్తే పాము అతన్ని కాటేసినట్టు ఆ రోజు ఉంటుంది. BSB BSB: It will be like a man who flees from a lion, only to encounter a bear, or who enters his house and rests his hand against the wall, only to be bitten by a snake.
20 ULB యెహోవా దినం వెలుగుగా కాక అంధకారంగా ఉండదా? కాంతితో కాక చీకటిగా ఉండదా? BSB BSB: Will not the Day of the LORD be darkness and not light, even gloom with no brightness in it?
21 ULB మీ పండగ రోజులు నాకు అసహ్యం. అవి నాకు గిట్టవు. మీ ప్రత్యేక సభలంటే నాకేమీ ఇష్టం లేదు. BSB BSB: “I hate, I despise your feasts! I cannot stand the stench of your solemn assemblies.
22 ULB నాకు దహనబలులనూ నైవేద్యాలనూ మీరర్పించినా నేను వాటిని అంగీకరించను. సమాధాన బలులుగా మీరర్పించే కొవ్విన పశువులను నేను చూడను. BSB BSB: Even though you offer Me burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them; for your peace offerings of fattened cattle I will have no regard.
23 ULB మీ పాటల ధ్వని నా దగ్గర నుంచి తీసేయండి. మీ తీగ వాయిద్యాల సంగీతం నేను వినను. BSB BSB: Take away from Me the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your harps.
24 ULB నీళ్లలా న్యాయాన్ని పారనివ్వండి. నీతిని ఎప్పుడూ ప్రవహించేలా చేయండి. BSB BSB: But let justice roll on like a river, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.
25 ULB ఇశ్రాయేలీయులారా, అరణ్యంలో నలభై ఏళ్ళు మీరు బలులనూ నైవేద్యాలనూ నాకు తెచ్చారా? BSB BSB: Did you bring Me sacrifices and offerings forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israel?
26 ULB మీరు మీకోసం కైవాను అనే నక్షత్ర దేవుడి విగ్రహాలను చేసుకున్నారు. సిక్కూతు అనే దేవుడి విగ్రహాన్ని రాజుగా మీరు మోసుకొచ్చారు. BSB BSB: You have taken along Sakkuth your king and Kaiwan your star god, the idols you made for yourselves.
