1 ULB యేసు ఒలీవ కొండకు వెళ్ళాడు. BSB BSB: But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
2 ULB ఉదయం పెందలకడనే యేసు తిరిగి దేవాలయంలోకి వచ్చాడు. అప్పుడు ప్రజలంతా ఆయన దగ్గరికి వచ్చారు. ఆయన కూర్చుని వారికి ఉపదేశించడం మొదలుపెట్టాడు. BSB BSB: Early in the morning He went back into the temple courts. All the people came to Him, and He sat down to teach them.
3 ULB అప్పుడు ధర్మశాస్త్ర పండితులూ పరిసయ్యులూ ఒక స్త్రీని తీసుకుని వచ్చారు. వారు ఆమెను వ్యభిచారం చేస్తుండగా పట్టుకున్నారు. ఆమెను అందరి మధ్య నిలబెట్టారు. BSB BSB: The scribes and Pharisees, however, brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before them
4 ULB వారు ఆయనతో, “బోధకా, ఈ స్త్రీ వ్యభిచారం చేస్తూ పట్టుబడింది. BSB BSB: and said, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery.
5 ULB ఇలాంటి వారిని రాళ్ళతో కొట్టి చంపాలని ధర్మశాస్త్రంలో మోషే ఆదేశించాడు కదా! నువ్వేమంటావ్?” అని అడిగారు. BSB BSB: In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such a woman. So what do You say?”
6 ULB ఆయన మీద ఎలాగైనా నేరం మోపాలని ఆయనను పరీక్షిస్తూ ఇలా అడిగారు. అయితే యేసు విననట్టు తన వేలితో నేల మీద ఏదో రాస్తూ ఉన్నాడు. BSB BSB: They said this to test Him, in order to have a basis for accusing Him. But Jesus bent down and began to write on the ground with His finger.

9 ULB ఆయన పలికిన మాట విని పెద్దా చిన్నా అంతా ఒకరి తరువాత ఒకరు బయటకు వెళ్ళారు. చివరికి యేసు ఒక్కడే మిగిలిపోయాడు. ఆ స్త్రీ అలానే మధ్యలో నిలబడి ఉంది. BSB BSB: When they heard this, they began to go away one by one, beginning with the older ones, until only Jesus was left, with the woman standing there.
10 ULB యేసు తలెత్తి ఆమెను చూశాడు. “నీమీద నిందారోపణ చేసిన వారంతా ఎక్కడమ్మా? నీకు ఎవరూ శిక్ష వేయలేదా?” అని అడిగాడు. BSB BSB: Then Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are your accusers? Has no one condemned you?”
11 ULB ఆమె, “లేదు ప్రభూ” అంది. దానికి యేసు, “నేను కూడా నీకు శిక్ష వేయను. వెళ్ళు, ఇంకెప్పుడూ పాపం చేయకు” అన్నాడు. BSB BSB: “No one, Lord,” she answered. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Now go and sin no more.”
12 ULB మళ్ళీ యేసు ఇలా అన్నాడు, “నేను లోకానికి వెలుగును. నన్ను వెంబడించేవాడు చీకటిలో నడవడు. జీవపు వెలుగు కలిగి ఉంటాడు.” BSB BSB: Once again, Jesus spoke to the people and said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”
13 ULB అప్పుడు పరిసయ్యులు, “నీ గురించి నువ్వే సాక్ష్యం చెప్పుకుంటున్నావు. నీ సాక్ష్యం సరైనది కాదు” అన్నారు. BSB BSB: So the Pharisees said to Him, “You are testifying about Yourself; Your testimony is not valid.”
14 ULB జవాబుగా యేసు, “నా గురించి నేను సాక్ష్యం చెప్పినా అది సత్యమే అవుతుంది. ఎందుకంటే నేను ఎక్కణ్ణించి వచ్చానో, ఎక్కడికి వెళ్తున్నానో నాకు తెలుసు. నేను ఎక్కణ్ణించి వచ్చానో ఎక్కడికి వెళ్తున్నానో మీకు తెలియదు. BSB BSB: Jesus replied, “Even if I testify about Myself, My testimony is valid, because I know where I came from and where I am going. But you do not know where I came from or where I am going.
15 ULB మీరు శరీర సంబంధంగా తీర్పు తీరుస్తారు. నేను ఎవరికీ తీర్పు తీర్చను. BSB BSB: You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one.
16 ULB అయినా నేను ఒంటరిని కాదు. నేను నన్ను పంపిన నా తండ్రి నాతో ఉన్నాడు. కాబట్టి ఒకవేళ నేను తీర్పు తీర్చినా అది సత్యమే అవుతుంది. BSB BSB: But even if I do judge, My judgment is true, because I am not alone; I am with the Father who sent Me.
17 ULB ఇద్దరు వ్యక్తుల సాక్ష్యం సత్యం అవుతుందని మీ ధర్మశాస్త్రంలోనే రాసి ఉంది కదా! BSB BSB: Even in your own Law it is written that the testimony of two men is valid.
18 ULB నా గురించి సాక్ష్యం నేను చెప్పుకొంటాను. నన్ను పంపిన తండ్రి కూడా నా గురించి సాక్ష్యం ఇస్తున్నాడు” అన్నాడు. BSB BSB: I am One who testifies about Myself, and the Father, who sent Me, also testifies about Me.”
19 ULB వారు, “నీ తండ్రి ఎక్కడ ఉన్నాడు?” అని అడిగారు. అందుకు యేసు, “మీకు నేను గానీ నా తండ్రి గానీ తెలియదు. ఒకవేళ నేను మీకు తెలిస్తే నా తండ్రి కూడా తెలిసే ఉంటాడు” అన్నాడు. BSB BSB: “Where is Your Father?” they asked Him. “You do not know Me or My Father,” Jesus answered. “If you knew Me, you would know My Father as well.”
20 ULB ఆయన దేవాలయంలో ఉపదేశిస్తూ చందా పెట్టె ఉన్నచోట ఈ మాటలు చెప్పాడు. ఆయన సమయం రాలేదు కాబట్టి ఎవరూ ఆయనను పట్టుకోలేదు. BSB BSB: He spoke these words while teaching in the temple courts, near the treasury. Yet no one seized Him, because His hour had not yet come.
21 ULB మరోసారి ఆయన, “నేను వెళ్ళిపోతున్నాను. నేను వెళ్ళాక మీరు నాకోసం వెతుకుతారు. కానీ మీ పాపాల్లోనే మీరు మరణిస్తారు. నేను వెళ్ళే చోటికి మీరు రాలేరు” అని వారితో చెప్పాడు. BSB BSB: Again He said to them, “I am going away, and you will look for Me, but you will die in your sin. Where I am going, you cannot come.”
22 ULB దానికి యూదులు,“‘నేను వెళ్ళే చోటికి మీరు రాలేరు’ అంటున్నాడేమిటి? ఆత్మహత్య చేసుకుంటాడా ఏమిటి?” అని చెప్పుకున్నారు. BSB BSB: So the Jews began to ask, “Will He kill Himself, since He says, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come’?”
23 ULB అప్పుడు ఆయన, “మీరు కింద ఉండేవారు. నేను పైన ఉండేవాణ్ణి. మీరు ఈ లోకానికి సంబంధించిన వారు. నేను ఈ లోకానికి సంబంధించిన వాణ్ణి కాదు. BSB BSB: Then He told them, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.
24 ULB కాబట్టి మీరు మీ పాపాల్లోనే మరణిస్తారని చెప్పాను. ఎందుకంటే నేనే ఆయననని మీరు నమ్మకపోతే మీరు మీ పాపాల్లోనే మరణిస్తారు” అని వారితో చెప్పాడు. BSB BSB: That is why I told you that you would die in your sins. For unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”
25 ULB కాబట్టి వారు, “అసలు నువ్వు ఎవరు?” అని అడిగారు. అప్పుడు ఆయన వారితో ఇలా చెప్పాడు, “నేను ప్రారంభం నుండి ఎవరినని మీకు చెబుతూ ఉన్నానో ఆయననే. BSB BSB: “Who are You?” they asked. “Just what I have been telling you from the beginning,” Jesus replied.
26 ULB మీ గురించి చెప్పడానికీ మీకు తీర్పు తీర్చడానికీ నాకు చాలా సంగతులు ఉన్నాయి. అయితే నన్ను పంపినవాడు సత్యవంతుడు. నేను ఆయన దగ్గర విన్న విషయాలనే ఈ లోకానికి బోధిస్తున్నాను.” BSB BSB: “I have much to say about you and much to judge. But the One who sent Me is truthful, and what I have heard from Him, I tell the world.”
27 ULB తండ్రి అయిన దేవుని గురించి ఆయన తమకు చెబుతున్నాడని వారు అర్థం చేసుకోలేక పోయారు. BSB BSB: They did not understand that He was telling them about the Father.
28 ULB కాబట్టి యేసు, “మీరు మనుష్య కుమారుణ్ణి పైకెత్తినప్పుడు ‘ఉన్నవాడు’ అనేవాణ్ణి నేనే అని తెలుసుకుంటారు. నా స్వంతగా నేను ఏమీ చేయననీ తండ్రి నాకు చెప్పినట్టుగానే ఈ సంగతులు మాట్లాడుతున్నాననీ మీరు గ్రహిస్తారు. BSB BSB: So Jesus said, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing on My own, but speak exactly what the Father has taught Me.
29 ULB నన్ను పంపినవాడు నాకు తోడుగా ఉన్నాడు. ఆయనకు ఇష్టమైన వాటినే నేను చేస్తూ ఉన్నాను కాబట్టి ఆయన నన్ను విడిచి పెట్టలేదు” అని చెప్పాడు. BSB BSB: He who sent Me is with Me. He has not left Me alone, because I always do what pleases Him.”
30 ULB ఆయన ఇలా మాట్లాడుతూ ఉండగానే చాలామంది ఆయనలో నమ్మకముంచారు. BSB BSB: As Jesus spoke these things, many believed in Him.
31 ULB కాబట్టి యేసు, తనలో నమ్మకముంచిన యూదులతో, “మీరు నా వాక్కులో స్థిరంగా ఉంటే నిజంగా నాకు శిష్యులౌతారు. BSB BSB: So He said to the Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, you are truly My disciples.
32 ULB సత్యాన్ని గ్రహిస్తారు. అప్పుడు ఆ సత్యమే మిమ్మల్ని విడుదల చేస్తుంది” అన్నాడు. BSB BSB: Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
33 ULB అప్పుడు వారు, “మేము అబ్రాహాము వారసులం. మేము ఎప్పుడూ ఎవరికీ బానిసలుగా ఉండలేదే. ‘మీరు విడుదల పొందుతారు’ అని ఎలా అంటున్నావు?” అన్నారు. BSB BSB: “We are Abraham’s descendants,” they answered. “We have never been slaves to anyone. How can You say we will be set free?”
34 ULB దానికి యేసు, “మీకు కచ్చితంగా చెబుతున్నాను, పాపం చేసే ప్రతివాడూ పాపానికి బానిసే. BSB BSB: Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.
35 ULB బానిస ఎప్పుడూ ఇంట్లో ఉండడు. కానీ కుమారుడు ఎప్పుడూ ఇంట్లోనే నివాసం ఉంటాడు. BSB BSB: A slave does not remain in the house forever, but a son remains forever.
36 ULB కుమారుడు మిమ్మల్ని విడుదల చేస్తే మీరు నిజంగా స్వతంత్రులై ఉంటారు. BSB BSB: So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
37 ULB మీరు అబ్రాహాము వారసులని నాకు తెలుసు. అయినా మీలో నా వాక్కుకు చోటు లేదు. కాబట్టే నన్ను చంపడానికి ప్రయత్నిస్తున్నారు. BSB BSB: I know you are Abraham’s descendants, but you are trying to kill Me because My word has no place within you.
38 ULB నేను ఉపదేశించేదంతా నా తండ్రి దగ్గర నేను చూసినదే. అలాగే మీరు మీ తండ్రి దగ్గర విన్న సంగతుల ప్రకారమే పనులు చేస్తున్నారు” అని చెప్పాడు. BSB BSB: I speak of what I have seen in the presence of the Father, and you do what you have heard from your father.”
39 ULB దానికి వారు, “మా తండ్రి అబ్రాహాము” అన్నారు. అప్పుడు యేసు, “మీరు అబ్రాహాము పిల్లలైతే అబ్రాహాము చేసిన పనులే చేసేవారు. BSB BSB: “Abraham is our father,” they replied. “If you were children of Abraham,” said Jesus, “you would do the works of Abraham.
40 ULB దేవుని దగ్గర నేను విన్న సత్యాన్ని మీకు చెప్పినందుకు నన్ను చంపాలని ప్రయత్నిస్తున్నారుగా. అయితే అబ్రాహాము అలా చేయలేదు. BSB BSB: But now you are trying to kill Me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham never did such a thing.
41 ULB మీరు మీ తండ్రి పనులే చేస్తున్నారు” అని వారితో చెప్పాడు. దానికి వారు, “మేము వ్యభిచారం వల్ల పుట్టినవారం కాదు. మాకు ఒక్కడే తండ్రి. ఆయన దేవుడు” అన్నారు. BSB BSB: You are doing the works of your father.” “We are not illegitimate children,” they declared. “Our only Father is God Himself.”
42 ULB యేసు వారితో ఇలా అన్నాడు, “దేవుడు మీ తండ్రి అయితే మీరు నన్ను ప్రేమించి ఉండేవారు. నేను వచ్చింది దేవుని దగ్గర్నుంచే. నా అంతట నేను రాలేదు. ఆయనే నన్ను పంపించాడు. BSB BSB: Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I have come here from God. I have not come on My own, but He sent Me.
43 ULB నా మాటలు మీరు ఎందుకు అర్థం చేసుకోవడం లేదు? నా మాట వినే మీకు సహనం లేదు. BSB BSB: Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you are unable to accept My message.
45 ULB నేను చెబుతున్నది సత్యమే అయినా మీరు నన్ను నమ్మరు. BSB BSB: But because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me!
46 ULB నాలో పాపం ఉన్నదని మీలో ఎవరు నిరూపించ గలరు? నేను సత్యాన్నే చెబుతున్నా మీరెందుకు నమ్మడం లేదు? BSB BSB: Which of you can prove Me guilty of sin? If I speak the truth, why do you not believe Me?
47 ULB ఒకడు దేవునికి చెందినవాడు అయితే దేవుని మాటలు వింటాడు. మీరు దేవుని సంబంధులు కారు కాబట్టి మీరు ఆయన మాటలు వినరు.” BSB BSB: Whoever belongs to God hears the words of God. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.”
48 ULB అందుకు యూదులు, “నువ్వు సమరయ వాడివి, నీకు దయ్యం పట్టింది అని మేము చెబుతున్న మాట నిజమే!” అన్నారు. BSB BSB: The Jews answered Him, “Are we not right to say that You are a Samaritan and You have a demon?”
49 ULB అప్పుడు యేసు, “నాకు దయ్యం పట్టలేదు. నేను నా తండ్రిని గౌరవిస్తున్నాను. మీరు నన్ను అవమానిస్తున్నారు. BSB BSB: “I do not have a demon,” Jesus replied, “but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me.
50 ULB నేను నా పేరు ప్రతిష్టల కోసం వెతకడం లేదు. అలా వెదికే వాడూ, తీర్పు తీర్చే వాడూ వేరే ఉన్నాడు. BSB BSB: I do not seek My own glory. There is One who seeks it, and He is the Judge.
51 ULB మీకు కచ్చితంగా చెబుతున్నాను. నా మాటలు అంగీకరించిన వాడు మరణం రుచి చూడడు” అని జవాబిచ్చాడు. BSB BSB: Truly, truly, I tell you, if anyone keeps My word, he will never see death.”
52 ULB అందుకు యూదులు, “నీకు దయ్యం పట్టిందని ఇప్పుడు మేము స్పష్టంగా తెలుసుకున్నాం. అబ్రాహామూ, ప్రవక్తలూ చనిపోయారు. ‘నా మాట విన్న వాడు మరణం రుచి చూడడు’ అని నువ్వు అంటున్నావు. BSB BSB: “Now we know that You have a demon!” declared the Jews. “Abraham died, and so did the prophets, yet You say that anyone who keeps Your word will never taste death.
53 ULB మన తండ్రి అబ్రాహాము చనిపోయాడు కదా! నువ్వు అతని కంటే గొప్పవాడివా? ప్రవక్తలూ చనిపోయారు. అసలు నువ్వు ఎవరినని చెప్పుకుంటున్నావు?” అని ఆయనను అడిగారు. BSB BSB: Are You greater than our father Abraham? He died, as did the prophets. Who do You claim to be?”
54 ULB అందుకు యేసు, “నన్ను నేనే గౌరవించుకుంటే ఆ గౌరవం అంతా ఒట్టిది. ఎవరిని మా దేవుడు అని మీరు చెప్పుకుంటున్నారో ఆయనే నా తండ్రి. ఆయనే నన్ను మహిమ పరుస్తున్నాడు. BSB BSB: Jesus answered, “If I glorify Myself, My glory means nothing. The One who glorifies Me is My Father, of whom you say, ‘He is our God.’
55 ULB మీకు ఆయన ఎవరో తెలియదు. నాకు ఆయన తెలుసు. ఆయన ఎవరో నాకు తెలియదు అని నేను చెబితే మీలాగా నేనూ అబద్ధికుడిని అవుతాను. కానీ నాకు ఆయన తెలుసు. ఆయన మాటను నేను పాటిస్తాను. BSB BSB: You do not know Him, but I know Him. If I said I did not know Him, I would be a liar like you. But I do know Him, and I keep His word.
57 ULB అందుకు యూదులు, “నీకింకా యాభై సంవత్సరాలు కూడా లేవు. నువ్వు అబ్రాహామును చూశావా?” అన్నారు. BSB BSB: Then the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and You have seen Abraham?”
59 ULB అప్పుడు వారు ఆయన మీద విసరడానికి రాళ్ళు తీశారు. కానీ యేసు దేవాలయంలో దాగి అక్కడనుంచి బయటకు వెళ్ళిపోయాడు. BSB BSB: At this, they picked up stones to throw at Him. But Jesus was hidden and went out of the temple area.
