19 ULB ఆ తరవాత ఆయన ఒక రొట్టె తీసుకుని కృతజ్ఞతలు అర్పించి, దాన్ని విరిచి వారికిచ్చి, “ఇది మీ కోసం ధారాదత్తమైన నా శరీరం. నన్ను జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకోడానికి దీన్ని చేయండి” అని చెప్పాడు. BSB BSB: And He took the bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body, given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”

23 ULB ఇది చేయబోయేదెవరో అంటూ వారు తమలో తాము ప్రశ్నించుకోవడం మొదలు పెట్టారు. BSB BSB: Then they began to question among themselves which of them was going to do this.
24 ULB తమలో ఎవరు గొప్ప అనే వివాదం వారిలో తలెత్తింది. BSB BSB: A dispute also arose among the disciples as to which of them should be considered the greatest.
25 ULB అప్పుడు ఆయన వారితో ఇలా అన్నాడు, “ఇతర ప్రజల రాజులు తమ ప్రజల మీద ప్రభుత్వం చేస్తారు. ప్రజల మీద అధికారం చెలాయించే వారు ‘ధర్మదాతలు’ అని పిలిపించుకుంటారు. BSB BSB: So Jesus declared, “The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those in authority over them call themselves benefactors.
26 ULB మీరు అలా ఉండకూడదు. మీలో ప్రముఖుడు తక్కువవాడుగా, నాయకుడు సేవకుడిలా ఉండాలి. BSB BSB: But you shall not be like them. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who leads like the one who serves.
27 ULB అసలు గొప్పవాడు అంటే ఎవరు? భోజనానికి కూర్చునే వాడా లేక సేవ చేసేవాడా? భోజనానికి కూర్చునే వాడే కదా! అయినా నేను మీ మధ్య సేవ చేసే వాడిలా ఉన్నాను. BSB BSB: For who is greater, the one who reclines at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines? But I am among you as one who serves.
28 ULB “నాకు కలిగిన విషమ పరీక్షల్లో మీరే నాతో నిలిచి ఉన్నారు. BSB BSB: You are the ones who have stood by Me in My trials.
29 ULB నా తండ్రి నాకు రాజ్యాన్ని ప్రసాదించాడు. నా రాజ్యంలో నా భోజన బల్ల దగ్గర భోజనం చేసి BSB BSB: And I bestow on you a kingdom, just as My Father has bestowed one on Me,
30 ULB సింహాసనాలపై కూర్చుని ఇశ్రాయేలు పన్నెండు గోత్రాలకూ మీరు తీర్పు తీర్చడానికి నేను కూడా మీకు రాజ్యాన్ని ప్రసాదిస్తున్నాను. BSB BSB: so that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
31 ULB “సీమోనూ, సీమోనూ, విను. సాతాను మిమ్మల్ని పట్టుకుని గోదుమల్లా జల్లించడానికి కోరుకున్నాడు. BSB BSB: Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you like wheat.
32 ULB నీ విశ్వాసం విఫలం కాకుండా నేను నీ కోసం ప్రార్థించాను. నువ్వు మళ్ళీ దేవుని వైపు తిరిగిన తరువాత నీ సోదరులను స్థిరపరచు.” BSB BSB: But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith will not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”
33 ULB కానీ పేతురు, “ప్రభూ, నీతో కూడా చెరసాలకు వెళ్ళడానికైనా, మరణించడానికైనా నేను సిద్ధంగా ఉన్నాను” అని ఆయనతో అన్నాడు. BSB BSB: “Lord,” said Peter, “I am ready to go with You even to prison and to death.”
34 ULB అప్పుడు ఆయన, “ఈ రోజు నేనెవరో తెలియదని నువ్వు మూడుసార్లు బొంకిన తరువాతనే కోడి కూస్తుందని నీకు చెబుతున్నాను” అన్నాడు. BSB BSB: But Jesus replied, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know Me.”
37 ULB ‘ఆయనను అక్రమాలు చేసేవారిలో ఒకడిగా ఎంచారు’ అని రాసి ఉన్న లేఖనం నా విషయంలో నెరవేరాలి. నన్ను గురించిన విషయాలన్నీ తప్పక నెరవేరతాయని మీతో చెబుతున్నాను” అన్నాడు. BSB BSB: For I tell you that this Scripture must be fulfilled in Me: ‘And He was numbered with the transgressors.’ For what is written about Me is reaching its fulfillment.”
38 ULB శిష్యులు, “ప్రభూ ఇక్కడ రెండు కత్తులున్నాయి” అన్నారు. ఆయన, “చాలు” అన్నాడు. BSB BSB: So they said, “Look, Lord, here are two swords.” “That is enough,” He answered.
39 ULB భోజనం అయ్యాక ఆయన బయల్దేరి తన అలవాటు ప్రకారం ఒలీవ కొండకు వెళ్ళాడు. ఆయన శిష్యులు కూడా ఆయనతో వెళ్ళారు. BSB BSB: Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed Him.
40 ULB వారు అక్కడికి చేరుకున్న తరువాత ఆయన వారితో, “మీరు విషమ పరీక్షలో పడకుండా ప్రార్థన చేయండి” అన్నాడు. BSB BSB: When He came to the place, He told them, “Pray that you will not enter into temptation.”
41 ULB వారి దగ్గర నుండి ఆయన రాతివేత దూరం వెళ్ళి అక్కడ మోకరించి ఇలా ప్రార్థన చేశాడు. BSB BSB: And He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, where He knelt down and prayed,
43 ULB అప్పుడు పరలోకం నుండి ఒక దూత ఆయనకు కనపడి ఆయనను బలపరిచాడు. BSB BSB: Then an angel from heaven appeared to Him and strengthened Him.
44 ULB ఆయన తీవ్రంగా ప్రార్థిస్తూ మరింత యాతన పడ్డాడు. అప్పుడు ఆయన చెమట రక్త బిందువుల్లా నేలపై పడుతూ ఉంది. BSB BSB: And in His anguish, He prayed more earnestly, and His sweat became like drops of blood falling to the ground.
45 ULB ఆయన ప్రార్థన ముగించి తన శిష్యుల దగ్గరికి వచ్చాడు. వారు దుఃఖంచేత నిద్రపోవడం చూశాడు. BSB BSB: When Jesus rose from prayer and returned to the disciples, He found them asleep, exhausted from sorrow.
46 ULB వారితో, “మీరెందుకు నిద్ర పోతున్నారు? విషమ పరీక్షలో పడకుండా మేల్కొని ప్రార్థించండి” అన్నాడు. BSB BSB: “Why are you sleeping?” He asked. “Get up and pray so that you will not enter into temptation.”
47 ULB ఆయన ఇంకా మాట్లాడుతూ ఉండగానే ప్రజలు సమూహంగా వచ్చారు. పన్నెండు మంది శిష్యుల్లో ఒకడైన యూదా వారికి ముందుగా నడుస్తూ యేసును ముద్దు పెట్టుకోడానికి దగ్గరగా వచ్చాడు. BSB BSB: While He was still speaking, a crowd arrived, led by the man called Judas, one of the Twelve. He approached Jesus to kiss Him.
48 ULB అప్పుడు యేసు, “యూదా, ముద్దు పెట్టుకొని మనుష్య కుమారుణ్ణి పట్టిస్తున్నావా?” అన్నాడు. BSB BSB: But Jesus asked him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?”
49 ULB ఆయన చుట్టూ ఉన్నవారు జరుగుతున్నదేమిటో గ్రహించి, “ప్రభూ, కత్తితో నరకమంటావా?” అని అడిగారు. BSB BSB: Those around Jesus saw what was about to happen and said, “Lord, should we strike with our swords?”
50 ULB ఈలోగా వారిలో ఒకడు ప్రధాన యాజకుడి సేవకుణ్ణి కొట్టి వాడి చెవి నరికాడు. BSB BSB: And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear.
51 ULB దానికి యేసు, “అంతటితో ఆగండి” అని అతని చెవిని తాకి బాగుచేశాడు. BSB BSB: But Jesus answered, “No more of this!” And He touched the man’s ear and healed him.
52 ULB తనను పట్టుకోడానికి వచ్చిన పెద్దలతో, ప్రధాన యాజకులతో, దేవాలయం అధికారులతో, “ఒక బందిపోటు దొంగను పట్టుకోడానికి వచ్చినట్టు కత్తులతో దుడ్డు కర్రలతో బయల్దేరి వచ్చారా? BSB BSB: Then Jesus said to the chief priests, temple officers, and elders who had come for Him, “Have you come out with swords and clubs as you would against an outlaw?
53 ULB నేను ప్రతిరోజూ మీ దగ్గర దేవాలయంలో ఉన్నప్పుడు నన్ను పట్టుకోలేదు. అయితే ఇది మీ సమయం, చీకటి ఆధిపత్యం” అన్నాడు. BSB BSB: Every day I was with you in the temple courts, and you did not lay a hand on Me. But this hour belongs to you and to the power of darkness.”
54 ULB వారు ఆయనను పట్టుకుని ఈడ్చుకుంటూ ప్రధాన యాజకుడి ఇంట్లోకి తీసుకు వెళ్ళారు. పేతురు దూరంగా వారి వెనకే వెళ్ళాడు. BSB BSB: Then they seized Jesus, led Him away, and took Him into the house of the high priest. And Peter followed at a distance.
55 ULB అప్పుడు కొంతమంది ఆ ఇంటి ఆవరణలో చలిమంట వేసుకుని దాని చుట్టూ కూర్చుని ఉన్నారు. పేతురు కూడా వెళ్ళి వారితో కూర్చున్నాడు. BSB BSB: When those present had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat down among them.
56 ULB అప్పుడు ఒక పనిపిల్ల మంట వెలుతురులో కూర్చుని ఉన్న పేతురును పరీక్షగా చూసి, “ఈ మనిషి కూడా అతనితో ఉన్నవాడే” అంది. BSB BSB: A servant girl saw him seated in the firelight and looked intently at him. “This man also was with Him,” she said.
57 ULB దానికి పేతురు, “అమ్మాయీ, అతనెవరో నాకు తెలియదు” అన్నాడు. BSB BSB: But Peter denied it. “Woman, I do not know Him,” he said.
58 ULB కాసేపటికి మరొకడు పేతురును చూసి, “నువ్వు కూడా వారిలో ఒకడివే” అన్నాడు. దానికి పేతురు, “నేను కాదయ్యా” అన్నాడు. BSB BSB: A short time later, someone else saw him and said, “You also are one of them.” But Peter said, “Man, I am not.”
59 ULB మరో గంట గడిచాక ఇంకొకడు పేతురును చూసి, “ఇతడు కచ్చితంగా అతనితో కూడా ఉన్నాడు. ఇతడు గలిలయ వాడే” అని నొక్కి చెప్పాడు. BSB BSB: About an hour later, another man insisted, “Certainly this man was with Him, for he too is a Galilean.”
60 ULB అందుకు పేతురు, “నువ్వు అంటున్నదేమిటో నాకు తెలియడం లేదు” అన్నాడు. అతడు ఇలా మాట్లాడుతూ ఉండగానే కోడి కూసింది. BSB BSB: “Man, I do not know what you are talking about,” Peter replied. And immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed.
61 ULB అప్పుడు ప్రభువు అటు తిరిగి పేతురు వైపు చూశాడు. “నేనెవరో తెలియదని నువ్వు మూడుసార్లు చెప్పిన తరువాత కోడి కూస్తుందని” ప్రభువు తనతో చెప్పిన మాట పేతురుకి జ్ఞాపకం వచ్చింది. BSB BSB: And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word that the Lord had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows today, you will deny Me three times.”
62 ULB దాంతో పేతురు బయటకు వెళ్ళి వెక్కి వెక్కి ఏడ్చాడు. BSB BSB: And he went outside and wept bitterly.
63 ULB యేసును పట్టుకున్నవారు ఆయనను ఎగతాళి చేశారు, కొట్టారు. BSB BSB: The men who were holding Jesus began to mock Him and beat Him.
64 ULB ఆయన కళ్ళకు గంతలు కట్టి, కొట్టి “నిన్ను ఎవరు కొట్టారో ప్రవచనం చెప్పు” అన్నారు. BSB BSB: They blindfolded Him and kept demanding, “Prophesy! Who hit You?”
65 ULB ఆయనను నీచంగా దూషించారు. ఆయనకు వ్యతిరేకంగా అనేక దూషణ మాటలు పలికారు. BSB BSB: And they said many other blasphemous things against Him.
66 ULB ఉదయం కాగానే ప్రజల నాయకులూ, ముఖ్య యాజకులూ, ధర్మశాస్త్ర పండితులూ సమావేశమయ్యారు. ఆయనను మహాసభకు తీసుకువెళ్ళారు. BSB BSB: At daybreak the council of the elders of the people, both the chief priests and scribes, met together. They led Jesus into their Sanhedrin and said,
67 ULB “నువ్వు అభిషిక్తుడివైతే అది మాకు చెప్పు” అన్నారు. అందుకాయన, “నేను మీతో చెప్పినా మీరు నమ్మరు. BSB BSB: “If You are the Christ, tell us.” Jesus answered, “If I tell you, you will not believe.
68 ULB అంతే కాకుండా నేను మిమ్మల్ని ప్రశ్నిస్తే జవాబివ్వరు. BSB BSB: And if I ask you a question, you will not answer.
69 ULB అయితే ఇకపై మనుష్య కుమారుడు బల ప్రభావాలున్న దేవుని కుడి వైపున కూర్చుని ఉంటాడు” అన్నాడు. BSB BSB: But from now on the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God.”
70 ULB “అయితే నువ్వు దేవుని కుమారుడివా?” అన్నారు. ఆయన వారితో, “మీరన్నట్టు ఆయనను నేనే” అన్నాడు. BSB BSB: So they all asked, “Are You then the Son of God?” He replied, “You say that I am.”
71 ULB అందుకు వారు, “మనకిక సాక్షులతో పనేముంది? ఇతని నోటి మాట మనమే విన్నాం కదా” అన్నారు. BSB BSB: “Why do we need any more testimony?” they declared. “We have heard it for ourselves from His own lips.”
