1 ULB కాబట్టి శరీరరీతిగా మన పూర్వికుడైన అబ్రాహాముకు ఏం దొరికింది? BSB BSB: What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh, has discovered?
2 ULB అబ్రాహాము క్రియల మూలంగా నీతిమంతుడని తీర్పు పొంది ఉంటే అతడు గొప్పలు పోవడానికి కారణం ఉండేది గానీ అది దేవుని ఎదుట కాదు. BSB BSB: If Abraham was indeed justified by works, he had something to boast about, but not before God.

6 ULB అదే విధంగా క్రియలు లేకుండా దేవుడు నీతిమంతుడుగా ప్రకటించిన మనిషి ధన్యుడని దావీదు కూడాా చెబుతున్నాడు. BSB BSB: And David speaks likewise of the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:
7 ULB ఎలా అంటే, “తన అతిక్రమాలకు క్షమాపణ పొందినవాడు, తన పాపానికి ప్రాయశ్చిత్తం పొందినవాడు ధన్యుడు. BSB BSB: “Blessed are they whose lawless acts are forgiven, whose sins are covered.
8 ULB ప్రభువు ఎవరి అపరాధం లెక్కలోకి తీసుకోడో వాడు ధన్యుడు.” BSB BSB: Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him.”
9 ULB ఈ దీవెన సున్నతి ఆచరించే వారి గురించి చెప్పాడా, ఆచరించని వారి గురించి కూడాా చెప్పాడా? అబ్రాహాము విశ్వాసం అతణ్ణి నీతిమంతుడుగా తీర్చింది అన్నాం కదా? BSB BSB: Is this blessing only on the circumcised, or also on the uncircumcised? We have been saying that Abraham’s faith was credited to him as righteousness.
10 ULB అతడు ఏ స్థితిలో ఉన్నప్పుడు అది జరిగింది? సున్నతి చేయించుకున్న తరవాతా లేక సున్నతికి ముందా? ముందే కదా! BSB BSB: In what context was it credited? Was it after his circumcision, or before? It was not after, but before.

BSB BSB: And he received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised. So then, he is the father of all who believe but are not circumcised, in order that righteousness might be credited to them.
12 ULB అలాగే సున్నతి గలవారికి కూడాా తండ్రి కావడానికి, అంటే కేవలం సున్నతి మాత్రమే పొందిన వారు కాక సున్నతి లేనప్పుడు మన తండ్రి అబ్రాహాము విశ్వాసపు అడుగుజాడల్లో నడచిన వారికి కూడాా తండ్రి కావడానికి అతడు ఆ గుర్తు పొందాడు. BSB BSB: And he is also the father of the circumcised who not only are circumcised, but who also walk in the footsteps of the faith that our father Abraham had before he was circumcised.
13 ULB అబ్రాహాము, అతని సంతానం లోకానికి వారసులవుతారు అనే వాగ్దానం ధర్మశాస్త్ర మూలంగా కలగలేదు. విశ్వాసం వలన ఏర్పడిన నీతి మూలంగానే కలిగింది. 14 ULB ధర్మశాస్త్ర సంబంధులు వారసులైతే విశ్వాసం వ్యర్థమౌతుంది, వాగ్దానం కూడాా నిరర్థకమౌతుంది. BSB BSB: For if those who live by the law are heirs, faith is useless and the promise is worthless,
15 ULB ఎందుకంటే ధర్మశాస్త్రం ఉగ్రతను పుట్టిస్తుంది. ధర్మశాస్త్రం లేని చోట దాన్ని అతిక్రమించడం కూడాా ఉండదు. BSB BSB: because the law brings wrath. And where there is no law, there is no transgression.
16 ULB ఈ కారణం చేత ఆ వాగ్దానం అబ్రాహాము సంతతి వారందరికీ, అంటే ధర్మశాస్త్రం గలవారికి మాత్రమే కాక అబ్రాహాముకున్న విశ్వాసం గలవారికి కూడాా కృపను బట్టి వర్తించాలని, అది విశ్వాసమూలమైనది అయ్యింది. ఆ అబ్రాహాము మనందరికీ తండ్రి. BSB BSB: Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may rest on grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring—not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.
17 ULB దీని గురించే, “నిన్ను అనేక జనాలకు తండ్రిగా నియమించాను” అని రాసి ఉంది. తాను నమ్ముకున్న దేవుని సమక్షంలో, అంటే చనిపోయిన వారిని బతికించేవాడు, లేని వాటిని ఉన్నట్టుగానే పిలిచేవాడు అయిన దేవుని ఎదుట అతడు మనకందరికీ తండ్రి. BSB BSB: As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.” He is our father in the presence of God, in whom he believed, the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being what does not yet exist.
18 ULB అలాగే, “నీ సంతానం ఇలా ఉంటుంది” అని రాసి ఉన్నట్టుగా తాను అనేక జనాలకు తండ్రి అయ్యేలా ఎలాటి ఆశాభావం లేనప్పడు సైతం అతడు ఆశాభావంతో నమ్మాడు. BSB BSB: Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as he had been told, “So shall your offspring be.”

21 ULB దేవుడు మాట ఇచ్చిన దాన్ని ఆయన నెరవేర్చడానికి సమర్థుడని గట్టిగా నమ్మాడు. BSB BSB: being fully persuaded that God was able to do what He had promised.
22 ULB అందుచేత దేవుడు దాన్ని అతనికి నీతిగా ఎంచాడు. BSB BSB: This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.”
23 ULB దేవుడు ఆ విశ్వాసాన్ని ఆ విధంగా ఎంచాడని అతని కోసం మాత్రమే రాసి లేదు, BSB BSB: Now the words “it was credited to him” were written not only for Abraham,
24 ULB మన ప్రభు యేసును చనిపోయిన వారిలో నుండి లేపిన దేవునిలో విశ్వాసం ఉంచిన మనల్ని కూడాా నీతిమంతులుగా ఎంచడానికి మన కోసం కూడా రాసి ఉంది. BSB BSB: but also for us, to whom righteousness will be credited—for us who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.
25 ULB ఆయనను దేవుడు మన అపరాధాల కోసం అప్పగించి, మనల్ని నీతిమంతులుగా తీర్చడానికి ఆయనను తిరిగి లేపాడు. BSB BSB: He was delivered over to death for our trespasses and was raised to life for our justification.
