Overcoming the World 1 TNT Whosoever beleveth that Iesus is Christ is borne of god. And every one that loveth him which begat loveth him also which was begotte of him. BSB BSB: Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father also loves those born of Him.
2 TNT In this we knowe that we love the children of god when we love god and kepe his commaudementes. BSB BSB: By this we know that we love the children of God: when we love God and keep His commandments.
3 TNT This is the love of god that we kepe his commaundementes and his commaundementes are not greveous BSB BSB: For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome,
4 TNT For all that is borne of god over commeth the worlde. And this is the victory that overcometh the worlde even oure fayth. BSB BSB: because everyone born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.
5 TNT Who is it that overcommeth the worlde: but he which beleveth that Iesus is the sonne of god? BSB BSB: Who then overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
6 TNT This Iesus Christ is he that cam by water and bloud not by water only: but by water and bloud. And it is the sprete that beareth witnes because the sprete ys trueth. BSB BSB: This is the One who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ—not by water alone, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies to this, because the Spirit is the truth.
7 TNT (For ther are thre which beare recorde in heuen the father the worde and the wholy goost. And these thre are one) BSB BSB: For there are three that testify:
8 TNT For there are thre which beare recorde (in erth:) the sprete and water and bloud: and these thre are one. BSB BSB: the Spirit, the water, and the blood—and these three are in agreement.
God’s Testimony about His Son 9 TNT Yf we receave the witnes of men the witnes of god is greater. For this is the witnes of god which he testifyed of his sonne. BSB BSB: Even if we accept human testimony, the testimony of God is greater. For this is the testimony that God has given about His Son.
10 TNT He that beleveth on the sonne of god hath the witnes in him silfe. He that beleveth not God hath made him a lyar be cause he beleved not the recorde that god gave of his sonne. BSB BSB: Whoever believes in the Son of God has this testimony within him; whoever does not believe God has made Him out to be a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given about His Son.
12 TNT He that hath the sonne hath lyfe: and he that hath not the sonne of god hath not lyfe. BSB BSB: Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
Effective Prayer 14 TNT And this is the trust that we have in him: that yf we axe eny thinge accordynge to his will he heareth vs. BSB BSB: And this is the confidence that we have before Him: If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
15 TNT And yf we knowe that he heare vs what soever we axe we knowe that we shall have the peticions that we desyre of him. BSB BSB: And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we already possess what we have asked of Him.
16 TNT Yf eny man se his brother synne a synne that is not vnto deeth let him axe and he shall geve him lyfe for them that synne not vnto deeth. Ther is a synne vnto deeth for which saye I not that a man shuld praye. BSB BSB: If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he should ask God, who will give life to those who commit this kind of sin. There is a sin that leads to death; I am not saying he should ask regarding that sin.
17 TNT All vnrightewesnes is synne and ther is synne not vnto deeth. BSB BSB: All unrighteousness is sin, yet there is sin that does not lead to death.
The True God 18 TNT We knowe that whosoever is borne of god synneth not: but he that is begotten of god kepeth him silfe and that wicked toucheth him not. BSB BSB: We know that anyone born of God does not keep on sinning; the One who was born of God protects him, and the evil one cannot touch him.
19 TNT We knowe that we are of god and that the worlde is altogedder set on wickednes. BSB BSB: We know that we are of God, and that the whole world is under the power of the evil one.
20 TNT We knowe that the sonne of God is come and hath geven vs a mynde to knowe him which is true: and we are in him that is true through his sonne Iesu Christ. This same is very god and eternall lyfe. BSB BSB: And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true—in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
