Request for Prayer 1 TNT Furthermore brethren praye for vs that the worde of god maye have fre passage and be gloryfied as it is with you: BSB BSB: Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may spread quickly and be held in honor, just as it was with you.
2 TNT and that we maye be delivered from vnresonable and evyll men. For all men have not fayth: BSB BSB: And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men; for not everyone holds to the faith.
3 TNT but the lorde is faythfull which shall stablysshe you and kepe you from evyll. BSB BSB: But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.
4 TNT We have confidence thorow the lorde to you warde that ye both do and will do that which we commaude you. BSB BSB: And we have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do what we command.
5 TNT And the lorde gyde youre hertes vnto the love of God and paciece of Christ. BSB BSB: May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.
A Warning against Idleness 6 TNT We requyre you brethren in the name of oure lorde Iesu Christ that ye with drawe youre selves from every brother that walketh inordinatly and not after the institucion which ye receaved of vs. BSB BSB: Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to keep away from any brother who leads an undisciplined life that is not in keeping with the tradition you received from us.
7 TNT Ye youre selves knowe how ye ought to folowe vs. For we behaved not oure selves inordinatly amonge you. BSB BSB: For you yourselves know how you ought to imitate us, because we were not undisciplined among you,
8 TNT Nether toke we breed of eny man for nought: but wrought with laboure and travayle nyght and daye because we wolde not be grevous to eny of you: BSB BSB: nor did we eat anyone’s food without paying for it. Instead, in labor and toil, we worked night and day so that we would not be a burden to any of you.
9 TNT not but that we had auctoritie: but to make oure selves an insample vnto you to folowe vs. BSB BSB: Not that we lack this right, but we wanted to offer ourselves as an example for you to imitate.
10 TNT For when we were with you this we warned you of that yf ther were eny which wolde not worke that the same shuld not eate. BSB BSB: For even while we were with you, we gave you this command: “If anyone is unwilling to work, he shall not eat.”
11 TNT We have hearde saye no doute that ther are some which walke amonge you inordinatly and worke not at all but are besy bodies. BSB BSB: For we hear that some of you are leading undisciplined lives, accomplishing nothing, but being busybodies.
12 TNT Them that are soche we commaunde and exhorte by oure lorde Iesu Christ that they worke with quyetnes and eate their awne breed. BSB BSB: We command and urge such people by our Lord Jesus Christ to begin working quietly to earn their own living.
13 TNT Brethren be not wery in well doynge. BSB BSB: But as for you, brothers, do not grow weary in well-doing.
14 TNT Yf eny man obey not oure sayinges sende vs worde of him by a letter: and have no companie with him that he maye be ashamed. BSB BSB: Take note of anyone who does not obey the instructions we have given in this letter. Do not associate with him, so that he may be ashamed.
15 TNT And count him not as an enemy: but warne him as a brother. BSB BSB: Yet do not regard him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

16 TNT The very lorde of peace geve you peace all wayes by all meanes. The lorde be with you all. BSB BSB: Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.

18 TNT The grace of oure lorde Iesus Christ be with you all Amen. ‘Sent from Athens.’ BSB BSB: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with all of you.
