Paul’s Greeting to the Galatians 1 TNT Paul an Apostle, not of men, nether by man, but by Iesus Christ, and by God the father which raysed him from deeth: BSB BSB: Paul, an apostle—sent not from men nor by man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised Him from the dead—
2 TNT and all the brethren which are with me. Vnto the congregacions of Galacia. BSB BSB: and all the brothers with me, To the churches of Galatia:
3 TNT Grace be with you and peace from God the father, and from oure Lorde Iesus Christ, BSB BSB: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,
4 TNT which gave him selfe for oure synnes to deliver vs from this present evyll worlde thorow the will of God oure father BSB BSB: who gave Himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,
5 TNT to whom be prayse for ever and ever. Amen. BSB BSB: to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
No Other Gospel 7 TNT which is nothinge els but that ther be some which trouble you and intende to pervert to gospell of Christ. BSB BSB: which is not even a gospel. Evidently some people are troubling you and trying to distort the gospel of Christ.
9 TNT As I sayde before so saye I now agayne yf eny man preache eny other thinge vnto you then that ye have receaved holde him accursed. BSB BSB: As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be under a curse!
Paul Preaches the Gospel 10 TNT Preache I mannes doctrine or Godes? Ether go I about to please men? If I stodyed to please men I were not the servaunt of Christ. BSB BSB: Am I now seeking the approval of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.
11 TNT I certifie you brethren that the gospell which was preached of me was not after the maner of men BSB BSB: For I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel I preached was not devised by man.
12 TNT nether receaved I it of man nether was I taught it: but receaved it by the revelacion of Iesus Christ. BSB BSB: I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.
14 TNT and prevayled in the Iewes laye above many of my companions which were of myne awne nacion and was a moche more fervet mayntener of the tradicions of the elders. BSB BSB: I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries and was extremely zealous for the traditions of my fathers.
15 TNT But when it pleased God which seperated me from my mothers wombe and called me by his grace BSB BSB: But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by His grace, was pleased
16 TNT for to declare his sonne by me that I shuld preache him amonge the hethen: immediatly I comened not of the matter with flesshe and bloud BSB BSB: to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not rush to consult with flesh and blood,
17 TNT nether returned to Ierusalem to them which were Apostles before me: but wet my wayes into Arabia and came agayne vnto Damasco. BSB BSB: nor did I go up to Jerusalem to the apostles who came before me, but I went into Arabia and later returned to Damascus.
20 TNT The thinges which I write beholde God knoweth I lye not. BSB BSB: I assure you before God that what I am writing to you is no lie.
21 TNT After that I went into the costes of Siria and Cilicia: BSB BSB: Later I went to the regions of Syria and Cilicia.
22 TNT and was vnknowen as touchinge my person vnto the congregacions of Iewrye which were in Christ. BSB BSB: I was personally unknown, however, to the churches of Judea that are in Christ.
23 TNT But they hearde only that he which persecuted vs in tyme past now preacheth the fayth which before he destroyed. BSB BSB: They only heard the account: “The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.”
24 TNT And they glorified God on my behalffe. BSB BSB: And they glorified God because of me.
