In My Father’s House Are Many Rooms 2 TNT In my fathers housse are many mansions. If it were not so I wolde have tolde you. I go to prepare a place for you. BSB BSB: In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?
3 TNT And yf I go to prepare a place for you I will come agayne and receave you even vnto my selfe that where I am there maye ye be also. BSB BSB: And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and welcome you into My presence, so that you also may be where I am.
4 TNT And whither I go ye knowe and the waye ye knowe. BSB BSB: You know the way to the place where I am going.”
The Way, the Truth, and the Life 5 TNT Thomas sayde vnto him: Lorde we knowe not whyther thou goest. Also how is it possible for vs to knowe the waye? BSB BSB: “Lord,” said Thomas, “we do not know where You are going, so how can we know the way?”
7 TNT Yf ye had knowen me ye had knowen my father also. And now ye knowe him and have sene him. BSB BSB: If you had known Me, you would know My Father as well. From now on you do know Him and have seen Him.”
8 TNT Philip sayd vnto him: Lorde shew vs the father and it suffiseth vs. BSB BSB: Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.”
10 TNT Belevest thou not that I am in the father and the father in me? The wordes that I speake vnto you I speakee not of my selfe: but the father that dwelleth in me is he that doeth the workes. BSB BSB: Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words I say to you, I do not speak on My own. Instead, it is the Father dwelling in Me, performing His works.
11 TNT Beleve me that I am in the father and the father in me. At the leest beleve me for the very workes sake. BSB BSB: Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me—or at least believe on account of the works themselves.
12 TNT Verely verely I saye vnto you: he that beleveth on me the workes that I doo the same shall he do and greater workes then these shall he do because I go vnto my father. BSB BSB: Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever believes in Me will also do the works that I am doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
13 TNT And whatsoever ye axe in my name that will I do that the father might be glorified by the sonne. BSB BSB: And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 TNT Yf ye shall axe eny thige in my name I will do it BSB BSB: If you ask Me for anything in My name, I will do it.
Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit (John 16:5–16)
17 TNT which is the sprete of truthe whome the worlde cannot receave because the worlde seyth him not nether knoweth him. But ye knowe him. For he dwelleth with you and shalbe in you. BSB BSB: the Spirit of truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, for He abides with you and will be in you.
18 TNT I will not leave you comfortlesse: but will come vnto you. BSB BSB: I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
19 TNT Yet a litell whyle and the worlde seith me no moare: but ye shall se me. For I live and ye shall live. BSB BSB: In a little while the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you also will live.
20 TNT That daye shall ye knowe that I am in my father and you in me and I in you. BSB BSB: On that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you.
21 TNT He that hath my commaundementes and kepeth them the same is he that loveth me. And he that loveth me shall be loved of my father: and I will love him and will shewe myne awne selfe vnto him. BSB BSB: Whoever has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me. The one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him.”
22 TNT Iudas sayde vnto him (not Iudas Iscarioth) Lorde what is the cause that thou wilt shewe thy selfe vnto vs and not vnto the worlde? BSB BSB: Judas (not Iscariot) asked Him, “Lord, why are You going to reveal Yourself to us and not to the world?”
24 TNT He that loveth me not kepeth not my sayinges. And the wordes which ye heare are not myne but the fathers which sent me. BSB BSB: Whoever does not love Me does not keep My words. The word that you hear is not My own, but it is from the Father who sent Me.
25 TNT This have I spoken vnto you beynge yet present with you. BSB BSB: All this I have spoken to you while I am still with you.
Peace I Leave with You 29 TNT For the father is greater then I. And now have I shewed you before it come that when it is come to passe ye might beleve. BSB BSB: And now I have told you before it happens, so that when it does happen, you will believe.
30 TNT Here after will I not talke many mordes vnto you. For the rular of this worlde commeth and hath nought in me. BSB BSB: I will not speak with you much longer, for the prince of this world is coming, and he has no claim on Me.
31 TNT But that the worlde maye knowe that I love the father: therfore as the father gave me commaundment even so do I. Ryse let vs go hence. BSB BSB: But I do exactly what the Father has commanded Me, so that the world may know that I love the Father. Get up! Let us go on from here.
