1 ULB और फ़िलिस्ती इस्राईल से लड़े और इस्राईल के लोग फ़िलिस्तियों के आगे से भागे और पहाड़ी जिल्बू'आ में क़त्ल हो कर गिरे| BSB BSB: Now the Philistines fought against Israel, and the men of Israel fled before them, and many fell slain on Mount Gilboa.
2 ULB और फ़िलिस्तियों ने साऊल का और उसके बेटों का ख़ूब पीछा किया और फ़िलिस्तियों ने यूनतन और अबीनदाब और मलकीशू'अ को जो साऊल के बेटे थे क़त्ल किया| BSB BSB: The Philistines followed hard after Saul and his sons, and they killed Saul’s sons Jonathan, Abinadab, and Malchishua.
3 ULB और साऊल पर जंग दोबर हो गयी और तीरंदाज़ों ने उसे पा ~लिया और वह तीरंदाज़ों की वजह से परेशान था| BSB BSB: When the battle intensified against Saul, the archers overtook him and wounded him.
4 ULB तब साऊल ने अपने सिलाहबरदार से कहा, अपनी तलवार खींच और उससे मुझे छेद दे ऐसा न हो कि यह नामख़्तून आकर मेरी बे 'इज़्ज़ती करें|"लेकिन उसके सिलाहबरदार ने न माना, क्यूँकि वह बहुत डर गया|तब साऊल ने अपनी तलवार ली और उस पर गिरा| BSB BSB: Then Saul said to his armor-bearer, “Draw your sword and run me through with it, or these uncircumcised men will come and torture me!” But his armor-bearer was terrified and refused to do it. So Saul took his own sword and fell on it.
5 ULB जब उसके सिलाहबरदार ने देखा कि साऊल मर गया तो वह भी तलवार पर गिरा और मर गया| BSB BSB: When his armor-bearer saw that Saul was dead, he too fell on his own sword and died.
6 ULB तब साऊल मर गया और उसके तीनों बेटे भी और उसका सारा ख़ानदान एक साथ मर मिटा| BSB BSB: So Saul died together with his three sons and all his house.
7 ULB जब सब इस्राईली लोगों ने जो वादी में थे देखा कि लोग भाग निकले और साऊल और उसके बेटे मर गए हैं, तो वह अपने शहरों को छोड़कर भाग गए और फ़िलिस्ती आकर उनमें बसे| BSB BSB: When all the Israelites in the valley saw that the army had fled and that Saul and his sons had died, they abandoned their cities and ran away. So the Philistines came and occupied their cities.
8 ULB और दूसरे दिन सुबह को जब फ़िलिस्ती मक़्तूलों को नंगा करने आये, तो उन्होंने साऊल और उसके बेटों को कोहे जिल्बू'आ पर पड़े पाया| BSB BSB: The next day, when the Philistines came to strip the dead, they found Saul and his sons fallen on Mount Gilboa.
9 ULB तब उन्होंने उसको नंगा किया और उसका सिर और उसके हथियार ले लिए, और फ़िलिस्तियों के मुल्क में चारों तरफ़ लोग रवाना कर दिए ताकि उनके बुतों और लोगों के पास उस ख़ुशख़बरी को पहुँचायें| BSB BSB: They stripped Saul, cut off his head, took his armor, and sent messengers throughout the land of the Philistines to proclaim the news in the temple of their idols and among their people.
10 ULB और उन्होंने उसके हथियारों को अपने मा'बूदों के मंदिर में रख्खा और उसके सिर को दजून के मंदिर में लटका दिया| BSB BSB: They put his armor in the temple of their gods and hung his head in the temple of Dagon.
11 ULB जब यबीस जिल'आद के सब लोगों ने, जो कुछ फ़िलिस्तियों ने साऊल से किया था सुना| BSB BSB: When all the people of Jabesh-gilead heard about everything the Philistines had done to Saul,
12 ULB तो उनमें के सब बहादुर उठे और साऊल की लाश और उसके बेटों की लाशें लेकर उनको यबीस में लाये, और उनकी हड्डियों को यबीस के बलूत के नीचे दफ़्न किया और सात दिन तक रोज़ा रख्खा| BSB BSB: all their men of valor set out and retrieved the bodies of Saul and his sons and brought them to Jabesh. And they buried their bones under the oak in Jabesh and fasted seven days.
14 ULB और उसने ख़ुदावन्द से दरियाफ़्त न किया| इसलिए उसने उसको मार डाला और हुकूमत यस्सी के बेटे दाऊद की तरफ़ बदल दी| BSB BSB: and he failed to inquire of the LORD. So the LORD put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse.
