ULB और समुएल मर गया और सब इस्राईली जमा' हुए और उन्होंने उस पर नौहा किया और उसे रामा में उसी के घर में दफ़न किया और दाऊद उठ कर फ़ारान के जंगल को चला गया| BSB BSB: When Samuel died, all Israel gathered to mourn for him; and they buried him at his home in Ramah. Then David set out and went down to the Wilderness of Paran.
ULB और म'ऊन में एक शख़्स रहता था जिसकी जायदाद करमिल में थी यह शख़्स बहुत बड़ा था और उस के पास तीन हज़ार भेड़ें और एक हज़ार बकरियाँ थीं और यह कर्मिल में अपनी भेड़ों के बाल कतर रहा था| BSB BSB: Now there was a man in Maon whose business was in Carmel. He was a very wealthy man with a thousand goats and three thousand sheep, which he was shearing in Carmel.
ULB इस शख़्स का नाम नाबाल और उसकी बीवी का नाम अबीजेल था,यह 'औरत बड़ी समझदार और ख़ूबसूरत थी लेकिन वह आदमी बड़ा बे अदब और बदकार था और वह कालिब के ख़ानदान से था| BSB BSB: His name was Nabal, and his wife’s name was Abigail. She was an intelligent and beautiful woman, but her husband, a Calebite, was harsh and evil in his dealings.
ULB और दाऊद ने वीराने में सुना कि नाबाल अपनी भेड़ों के बाल कतर रहा,है| BSB BSB: While David was in the wilderness, he heard that Nabal was shearing sheep.
ULB इसलिए दाऊद ने दस जवान रवाना किए और उसने उन जवानों से कहा,कि तुम कर्मिल पर चढ़कर नाबाल के पास जाओ,और मेरा नाम लेकर उसे सलाम कहो| BSB BSB: So David sent ten young men and instructed them, “Go up to Nabal at Carmel. Greet him in my name
ULB और उस ख़ुश हाल आदमी से यूँ कहो कि तेरी और तेरे घर कि और तेरे माल असबाब की सलामती हो| BSB BSB: and say to him, ‘Long life to you, and peace to you and to your house and to all that belongs to you.
When your shepherds were with us, we did not harass them, and nothing of theirs was missing the whole time they were in Carmel.
So let my young men find favor with you, for we have come on the day of a feast. Please give whatever you can spare to your servants and to your son David.’”
ULB इसलिए दाऊद के जवानों ने जाकर नाबाल से दाऊद का नाम लेकर यह बातें कहीं और चुप हो रहे| BSB BSB: When David’s young men arrived, they relayed all these words to Nabal on behalf of David. Then they waited.
ULB नाबाल ने दाऊद के ख़ादिमों को जवाब दिया "कि दाऊद कौन है?और यस्सी का बेटा कौन है?इन दिनों बहुत से नौकर ऐसे हैं जो अपने आक़ा के पास से भाग जातें हैं| BSB BSB: But Nabal asked them, “Who is David? Who is this son of Jesse? Many servants these days are breaking away from their masters.
ULB क्या मैं अपनी रोटी और पानी और ज़बीहे जो मैंनें अपने कतरने वालों के लिए ज़बह किए हैं,लेकर उन लोगों को दूँ जिनको मैं नहीं जानता कि वह कहाँ के हैं?|" BSB BSB: Why should I take my bread and water and the meat I have slaughtered for my shearers, and give them to these men whose origin I do not know?”
ULB इसलिए दाऊद के जवान उलटे पाँव फिरे और लौट गए और आकर यह सब बातें उसे बताईं| BSB BSB: So David’s men turned around and went back, and they relayed to him all these words.
So David and all his men strapped on their swords, and about four hundred men followed David, while two hundred stayed with the supplies.
ULB और जवानों में से एक ने नाबाल की बीवी अबीजेल से कहा,कि देख,दाऊद ने वीराने से हमारे आक़ा को मुबारकबाद देने को क़ासिद भेजे लेकिन वह उन पर झुंझलाया| BSB BSB: Meanwhile, one of Nabal’s young men informed Nabal’s wife Abigail, “Look, David sent messengers from the wilderness to greet our master, but he screamed at them.
ULB लेकिन इन लोगों ने हम से बड़ी नेकी की और हमारा नुक़्सान नहीं हुआ,और मैदानों में जब तक हम उनके साथ रहे हमारी कोई चीज़ गुम न हुई| BSB BSB: Yet these men were very good to us. When we were in the field, we were not harassed, and nothing of ours went missing the whole time we lived among them.
ULB बल्कि जब तक हम उनके साथ भेड़ बकरी चराते रहे वह रात दिन हमारे लिए गोया दीवार थे| BSB BSB: They were a wall around us, both day and night, the whole time we were herding our sheep near them.
ULB इसलिए अब सोच समझ ले कि तू क्या करेगी क्यूँकि हमारे आक़ा और उसके सब घराने के ख़िलाफ़ बदी का मंसूबा बाँधा गया है,क्यूँकि यह ऐसा ख़बीस आदमी है कि कोई इस से बात नहीं कर सकता|" BSB BSB: Now consider carefully what you must do, because disaster looms over our master and all his household. For he is such a scoundrel that nobody can speak to him!”
ULB तब अबीजेल ने जल्दी की और दो सौ रोटियाँ और मय के दो मश्कीज़े और पाँच पकी पकाई भेंडें और भुने हुए अनाज के पाँच पैमाने और किशमिश के एक सौ ख़ोशे और इन्जीर की दो सौ टिकियाँ साथ लीं और उनको गधों पर लाद लिया| BSB BSB: Then Abigail hurried and took two hundred loaves of bread, two skins of wine, five butchered sheep, five seahs of roasted grain, a hundred clusters of raisins, and two hundred cakes of figs. She loaded them on donkeys
ULB और अपने चाकरों से कहा, "तुम मुझ से आगे जाओ,देखो मैं तुम्हारे पीछे पीछे आती हूँ "और उसने अपने शोहर नाबाल को ख़बर न की| BSB BSB: and said to her young men, “Go ahead of me. I will be right behind you.” But she did not tell her husband Nabal.
ULB और ऐसा हुआ,कि जैसे ही वह गधे पर चढ़ कर पहाड़ की आड़ से उतरी दाऊद अपने लोगों के साथ उतरते हुए उसके सामने आया और वह उनको मिली| BSB BSB: As Abigail came riding her donkey into a mountain ravine, she saw David and his men coming down toward her, and she met them.
ULB और दाऊद ने कहा,था "कि मैं इस पाजी के सब माल की जो वीराने में था बे फ़ाइदा इस तरह निगहबानी की कि उसकी चीज़ों में से कोई चीज़ गुम न हुई क्यूँकि उसने नेकी के बदले मुझ से बदी की| BSB BSB: Now David had just said, “In vain I have protected all that belonged to this man in the wilderness. Nothing that belongs to him has gone missing, yet he has paid me back evil for good.
ULB इसलिए अगर मैं सुबह की रोशनी होने तक उसके~लोगों में से एक लड़का भी बाक़ी छोडूँ तो ख़ुदावन्द दाऊद के दुशमनों से ऐसा ही बल्कि इससे ज़्यादा ही करे|" BSB BSB: May God punish David, and ever so severely, if I let one male belonging to Nabal survive until morning.”
ULB और अबीजेल ने जो दाऊद को देखा,तो जल्दी की और गधे से उतरी और दाऊद के आगे औंधी गिरीं और ज़मीन पर सरनगूँ ~हो गई| BSB BSB: When Abigail saw David, she quickly got off the donkey, fell facedown, and bowed before him.
ULB और वह उसके पाँव पर गिर कर कहने लगी, "मुझ पर ऐ मेरे मालिक मुझी पर यह गुनाह हो और ज़रा अपनी लौंडी को इजाज़त दे कि तेरे कान में कुछ कहे और तू अपनी लौंडी की दरख़्वास्त सुन| BSB BSB: She fell at his feet and said, “My lord, may the blame be on me alone, but please let your servant speak to you; hear the words of your servant.
ULB मैं तेरी मिन्नत करती हूँ कि मेरा मालिक उस ख़बीस आदमी नाबाल का कुछ ख़याल न करे क्यूँकि जैसा उसका नाम है वैसा ही वह है उसका नाम नाबाल है और हिमाक़त उसके साथ है लेकिन मैंनें जो तेरी लौंडी हूँ अपने मालिक के जवानों को जिनको तूने भेजा था नहीं देखा| BSB BSB: My lord should pay no attention to this scoundrel Nabal, for he lives up to his name: His name means Fool, and folly accompanies him. I, your servant, did not see my lord’s young men whom you sent.
ULB और अब ऐ मेरे मालिक!ख़ुदावन्द की हयात की क़सम और तेरी जान ही की क़सम कि ख़ुदावन्द ने जो तुझे ख़ूँरेज़ी से और अपने ही हाथो अपना इन्तक़ाम लेने से बाज़ रख्खा है इसलिए तेरे दुश्मन और मेरे मालिक के बुराई चाहने वाले नाबाल की तरह ठहरें| BSB BSB: Now, my lord, as surely as the LORD lives and you yourself live, since the LORD has held you back from bloodshed and from avenging yourself with your own hand, may your enemies and those who seek harm for my lord be like Nabal.
ULB अब यह हदिया जो तेरी लौंडी अपने मालिक के सामने लाई है,उन जवानों को जो मेरे ख़ुदावन्द की पैरवी करतें हैं दिया जाए| BSB BSB: Now let this gift your servant has brought to my lord be given to the young men who follow you.
ULB तू अपनी लौंडी का गुनाह मु'आफ़ करदे क्यूँकि ख़ुदावन्द यक़ीनन मेरे मालिक का घर क़ायम रख्खेगा इसलिए कि मेरे मालिक ख़ुदावन्द की लड़ाईयाँ लड़ता है और तुझ में तमाम 'उम्र बुराई नहीं पाई जाएगी| BSB BSB: Please forgive your servant’s offense, for the LORD will surely make a lasting dynasty for my lord, because he fights the LORD’s battles. May no evil be found in you as long as you live.
ULB और जो इन्सान तेरा पीछा करने और तेरी जान लेने को उठे तोभी मेरे मालिक की जान ज़िन्दगी के बूक़चे में ख़ुदावन्द तेरे ख़ुदा के साथ बंधी रहेगी लेकिन तेरे दुशमनों की जानें वह गोया गोफ़न में रखकर फेंक देगा| BSB BSB: And should someone pursue you and seek your life, then the life of my lord will be bound securely by the LORD your God in the bundle of the living. But He shall fling away the lives of your enemies like stones from a sling.
ULB और जब ख़ुदावन्द मेरे मालिक से वह सब नेकियाँ जो उसने तेरे हक़ में फ़रमाई हैं कर चुकेगा और तुझ को इस्राईल का सरदार बना देगा| BSB BSB: When the LORD has done for my lord all the good He promised, and when He has appointed you ruler over Israel,
ULB तो तुझे इसका ग़म और मेरे मालिक को यह दिली सदमा न होगा कि तूने बे वजह ख़ून बहाया या मेरे मालिक ने अपना बदला लिया और जब ख़ुदावन्द मेरे मालिक से भलाई करे तो तू अपनी लौंडी को याद करना|" BSB BSB: then my lord will have no remorse or guilt of conscience over needless bloodshed and revenge. And when the LORD has dealt well with my lord, may you remember your servant.”
ULB दाऊद ने अबीजेल से कहा, "कि ख़ुदावन्द इस्राईल का ख़ुदा मुबारक हो जिसने तुझे आज के दिन मुझ से मिलने को भेजा| BSB BSB: Then David said to Abigail, “Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who sent you to meet me this day!
ULB और तेरी 'अक़ल्मंदी मुबारक तू ख़ुद भी मुबारक हो जिसने मुझको आज के दिन ख़ूँरेज़ीऔर अपने हाथों अपना बदला लेने से बाज़ रख्खा| BSB BSB: Blessed is your discernment, and blessed are you, because today you kept me from bloodshed and from avenging myself by my own hand.
ULB क्यूँकि ख़ुदावन्द इस्राईल के ख़ुदा की हयात की क़सम जिसने मुझे तुझको नुक़्सान पहुचाने से रोका कि अगर तू जल्दी न करती और मुझ से मिलने को न आती तो सुबह की रोशनी तक नाबाल के लिए एक लड़का भी न रहता|" BSB BSB: Otherwise, as surely as the LORD, the God of Israel, lives, who has restrained me from harming you, if you had not come quickly to meet me, then surely no male belonging to Nabal would have been left alive by morning light.”
ULB और दाऊद ने उसके हाथ से जो कुछ वह उसके लिए लाई थी क़ुबूल किया और उससे कहा, "अपने घर सलामत जा,देख मैंने तेरी बात मानी और तेरा लिहाज़ किया|" BSB BSB: Then David accepted from her hand what she had brought him, and he said to her, “Go home in peace. See, I have heeded your voice and granted your request.”
ULB और अबीजेल नाबाल के पास आई और देखा कि उसने अपने घर में शाहाना ज़ियाफ़त की तरह दावत कर रख्खी है और नाबाल का दिल उसके पहलू में ख़ुश है इसलिए कि वह नशे में चूर था,इसलिए उसने उससे सुबह की रोशनी तक न थोड़ा न बहुत कुछ न कहा,| BSB BSB: When Abigail returned to Nabal, there he was in the house, holding a feast fit for a king, in high spirits and very drunk. So she told him nothing until morning light.
ULB सुबह को जब नाबाल का नशा उतर गया तो उसकी बीवी ने यह बातें उसे बताईं तब उसका दिल उसके पहलू में मुर्दा हो गया और वह पत्थर की तरह सुन पड़ गया| BSB BSB: In the morning when Nabal was sober, his wife told him about these events, and his heart failed within him, and he became like a stone.
ULB और दस दिन के बा'द ऐसा हुआ कि ख़ुदावन्द ने नाबाल को मारा और वह मर गया| BSB BSB: About ten days later, the LORD struck Nabal dead.
ULB जब दाऊद ने सुना कि नाबाल मर गया तो वह कहने लगा, "कि ख़ुदावन्द मुबारक हो जो नाबाल से मेरी रुसवाई का मुक़द्दमा लड़ा और अपने बन्दे को बुराई से बाज़ रख्खा और ख़ुदावन्द ने नाबाल की शरारत को उसी के सिर पर लादा|"और दाऊद ने अबीजेल के बारे में पैग़ाम भेजा ताकि उससे शादी करे| BSB BSB: On hearing that Nabal was dead, David said, “Blessed be the LORD, who has upheld my cause against the reproach of Nabal and has restrained His servant from evil. For the LORD has brought the wickedness of Nabal down upon his own head.” Then David sent word to Abigail, asking her to become his wife.
ULB और जब दाऊद के ख़ादिम करमिल में अबीजेल के पास आए तो उन्होंने उससे कहा, "कि दाऊद ने हमको तेरे पास भेजा है ताकि हम तुझे उससे शादी करने को लें जाएँ|" BSB BSB: When his servants came to Abigail at Carmel, they said, “David has sent us to take you as his wife.”
ULB इसलिए वह उठी,और ज़मीन पर ओंधे मुँह गिरी और कहने लगी "कि देख,तेरी लौंडी तो नौकर है ताकि अपने मालिक के ख़ादिमों के पाँव धोए|" BSB BSB: She arose, bowed facedown, and said, “Here is your servant, ready to serve and to wash the feet of my lord’s servants.”
ULB और अबीजेल ने जल्दी की और उठकर गधे पर सवार हुई और अपनी पाँच लौंडियाँ जो उसके जिलौ में थीं साथ लेलीं और वह दाऊद के क़ासिदों के पीछे पीछे गईं और उसकी बीवी बनी| BSB BSB: So Abigail hurried and got on a donkey, and attended by five of her maidens, she followed David’s messengers and became his wife.
ULB और दाऊद ने यज़र'एल की अख़ीनु'अम को भी ब्याह लिया,इसलिए वह दोनों उसकी बीवियाँ बनीं| BSB BSB: David had also married Ahinoam of Jezreel. So she and Abigail were both his wives.
ULB और साऊल ने अपनी बेटी मीकल को जो दाऊद की बीवी थी लैस के बेटे जिल्लीमी फिल्ती को दे दिया था| BSB BSB: But Saul had given his daughter Michal, David’s wife, to Palti son of Laish, who was from Gallim.
