1 ULB जितने नौकर जुए के नीचे हौं,अपने मालिकों को कमाल 'इज़्ज़त के लाइक़ जानें, ताकि ख़ुदा का नाम और ता'लीम बदनाम न हो। BSB BSB: All who are under the yoke of slavery should regard their masters as fully worthy of honor, so that God’s name and our teaching will not be discredited.
2 ULB और जिनके मालिक ईमानदार हैं वो उनको भाई होने की वजह से हक़ीर न जानें,बल्कि इस लिए ज़्यादातर उनकी ख़िदमत करें कि फ़ाइदा उठानेवाले ईमानदार और 'अज़ीज़ हैं तू इन बातों की ता'लीम दे और नसीहत कर। BSB BSB: Those who have believing masters should not show disrespect because they are brothers, but should serve them all the more, since those receiving their good service are beloved believers. Teach and encourage these principles.
3 ULB अगर कोई शख़्स और तरह की ता'लीम देता है और सही बातों को,या'नी ख़ुदावन्द ईसा'मसीह की बातें और उस ता'लीम को नहीं मानता जो दीनदारी के मुताबिक़ है, BSB BSB: If anyone teaches another doctrine and disagrees with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and with godly teaching,
4 ULB वो मग़रूर है और कुछ नहीं जानता;बल्कि उसे बहस और लफ़्ज़ी तकरार करने का मर्ज़ है,जिनसे हसद और झगड़े और बदगोइयाँ और बदगुमानियाँ,। BSB BSB: he is conceited and understands nothing. Instead, he has an unhealthy interest in controversies and disputes about words, out of which come envy, strife, abusive talk, evil suspicions,
5 ULB और उन आदमियों में रद्दो बदल पैदा होता है जिनकी अक़्ल बिगड़ गई हैं और वो हक़ से महरूम है और दीनदारी को नफ़े ही का ज़रिया समझते है BSB BSB: and constant friction between men of depraved mind who are devoid of the truth. These men regard godliness as a means of gain.
6 ULB हाँ दीनदारी सब्र के साथ बड़े नफ़े का ज़रिया है। BSB BSB: Of course, godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 ULB क्यूँकि न हम दुनियाँ में कुछ लाए और न कुछ उसमें से ले जा सकते है| BSB BSB: For we brought nothing into the world, so we cannot carry anything out of it.
8 ULB पस अगर हमारे पास खाने पहनने को है,तो उसी पर सब्र करें। BSB BSB: But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with these.
9 ULB लेकिन जो दौलतमन्द होना चाहते हैं,वो ऐसी आज़माइश और फन्दे और बहुत सी बेहूदा और नुक़्सान पहुँचानेवाली ख़्वाहिशों में फँसते हैं,जो आदमियों को तबाही और हलाकत के दरिया में ग़र्क़ कर देती हैं। BSB BSB: Those who want to be rich, however, fall into temptation and become ensnared by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction.
10 ULB क्यूँकि माल की दोस्ती हर क़िस्म की बुराई की जड़ है.जिसकी आरज़ू में कुछ ने ईमान से गुमराह होकर अपने दिलों को तरह तरह के ग़मों से छलनी कर लिया। BSB BSB: For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. By craving it, some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.
11 ULB मगर ऐ मर्द-ए-ख़ुदा!तू इन बातों से भाग और रास्तबाज़ी,दीनदारी,ईमान,मुहब्बत,सब्र और नर्म दिली का तालिब हो। BSB BSB: But you, O man of God, flee from these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.
12 ULB ईमान की अच्छी कुश्ती लड़; उस हमेशा की ज़िन्दगी पर क़ब्ज़ा कर ले जिसके लिए तू बुलाया गया था,और बहुत से गवाहों के सामने अच्छा इक़रार किया था| BSB BSB: Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made the good confession before many witnesses.
13 ULB मैं उस ख़ुदा को,जो सब चीज़ों को ज़िन्दा करता है,और मसीह ईसा' को, जिसने पुनितयुस पिलातुस के सामने अच्छा इक़रार किया था,गवाह करके तुझे नसीहत करता हूँ| BSB BSB: I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who made the good confession in His testimony before Pontius Pilate:
14 ULB कि हमारे ख़ुदावन्द ईसा' मसीह के उस मसीह के आने तक हुक्म को बेदाग़ और बेइलज़ाम रख,। BSB BSB: Keep this commandment without stain or reproach until the appearance of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 ULB जिसे वो मुनासिब वक़्त पर नुमायाँ करेगा,जो मुबारक और वाहिद हाकिम,बादशाहों का बादशाह और खुदावान्दों का ख़ुदा है; BSB BSB: which the blessed and only Sovereign One—the King of kings and Lord of lords—will bring about in His own time.
16 ULB बक़ा सिर्फ़ उसी की है,और वो उस नूर में रहता है जिस तक किसी की पहुंच नहीं हो सकती,न उसे किसी इन्सान ने देखा और न देख सकता है; उसकी 'इज़्ज़त और सल्तनत हमेशा तक रहे|आमीन| BSB BSB: He alone is immortal and dwells in unapproachable light. No one has ever seen Him, nor can anyone see Him. To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen.
17 ULB इस मौजूदा जहान के दौलतमन्दों को हुक्म दे कि मग़रूर न हों और नापाएदार दौलत पर नहीं,बल्कि ख़ुदा पर उम्मीद रख्खें जो हमें लुत्फ़ उठाने के लिए सब चीज़ें बहुतायत से देता है। BSB BSB: Instruct those who are rich in the present age not to be conceited and not to put their hope in the uncertainty of wealth, but in God, who richly provides all things for us to enjoy.
18 ULB और नेकी करें,और अच्छे कामों में दौलतमन्द बनें,और सख़ावत पर तैयार और इम्दाद पर मुस्त'ईद हों,। BSB BSB: Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, and to be generous and ready to share,
19 ULB और आइन्दा के लिए अपने वास्ते एक अच्छी बुनियाद क़ायम कर रख्खें ताकि हक़ीक़ी ज़िन्दगी पर क़ब्ज़ा करें। BSB BSB: treasuring up for themselves a firm foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.
20 ULB ऐ तीमुथियुस!इस अमानत को हिफ़ाज़त से रख;और जिस'इल्म को इल्म कहना ही गलत है,उसकी बेहूदा बकवास और मुखालफित पर ध्यान न कर। BSB BSB: O Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you. Avoid irreverent, empty chatter and the opposing arguments of so-called “knowledge,”
21 ULB कुछ उसका इकरार करके ईमान से फिर गए हैं तुम पर फ़ज़ल होता रहे। BSB BSB: which some have professed and thus swerved away from the faith. Grace be with you all.
