3 ULB और उसके साथ बारह सौ रथ और साठ हज़ार सवार थे, और लूबी और सूकी और कूशी लोग जो उसके साथ मिस्र से आए थे बेशुमार थे। BSB BSB: with 1,200 chariots, 60,000 horsemen, and countless troops who came with him out of Egypt—Libyans, Sukkites, and Cushites.

6 ULB तब इस्राईल के हाकिमों ने और बादशाह ने अपने को ख़ाकसार बनाया और कहा, "ख़ुदावन्द सच्चा है।" BSB BSB: So the leaders of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said, “The LORD is righteous.”
7 ULB जब ख़ुदावन्द ने देखा के उन्होंने अपने को ख़ाकसार बनाया, तो ख़ुदा वन्द का कलाम समायाह पर नाज़िल हुआ: "उन्होंने अपने को ख़ाकसार बनाया है, इसलिए मैं उनको हलाक नहीं करूँगा बल्कि उनको कुछ रिहाई दूँगा; और मेरा क़हर सीसक के हाथ से यरूशलीम पर नाज़िल न होगा। BSB BSB: When the LORD saw that they had humbled themselves, the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah, saying, “They have humbled themselves; I will not destroy them, but will soon grant them deliverance. My wrath will not be poured out on Jerusalem through Shishak.
8 ULB ~तोभी वह उसके ख़ादिम होंगे, ताकि वह मेरी ख़िदमत को और मुल्क मुल्क की सल्तनतों की ख़िदमत को जान लें।” BSB BSB: Nevertheless, they will become his servants, so that they may learn the difference between serving Me and serving the kings of other lands.”
9 ULB ~इसलिए ~मिस्र का बादशाह सीसक यरूशलीम पर चढ़ आया, और ख़ुदावन्द के घर के खज़ाने और बादशाह के घर के ख़ज़ाने ले गया। बल्कि वह सब कुछ ले गया, और सोने की वह ढालें भी जो सुलेमान ने बनवाई थीं ले गया। BSB BSB: So King Shishak of Egypt attacked Jerusalem and seized the treasures of the house of the LORD and of the royal palace. He took everything, including the gold shields that Solomon had made.
10 ULB और रहुब'आम बादशाह ने उनके बदले पीतल की ढालें बनवाई और उनको मुहाफ़िज़ सिपाहियों ~के सरदारों को जो शाही महल की निगहबानी करते थे सौंपा। BSB BSB: Then King Rehoboam made bronze shields in their place and committed them to the care of the captains of the guard on duty at the entrance to the royal palace.
11 ULB और जब बादशाह ख़ुदावन्द के घर में जाता था, तो वह मुहाफ़िज़ सिपाही आते और उनको उठाकर चलते थे, और फिर उनको वापस लाकर सिलाहखाने में रख देते थे। BSB BSB: And whenever the king entered the house of the LORD, the guards would go with him, bearing the shields, and later they would return them to the guardroom.
12 ULB और जब उसने अपने को ख़ाकसार बनाया, तो ख़ुदा वन्द का क़हर उस पर से टल गया और उसने उसको पूरे तौर से तबाह न किया; और भी यहूदाह में ख़ूबियाँ भी थीं। BSB BSB: Because Rehoboam humbled himself, the anger of the LORD turned away from him, and He did not destroy him completely. Indeed, conditions were good in Judah.
13 ULB इसलिए रहुब'आम बादशाह ने ताक़तवर होकर यरूशलीम में हुकूमत की। रहुब'आम जब हुकूमत करने लगा तो इकतालीस साल का था और उसने यरूशलीम में, या'नी उस शहर में जो ख़ुदावन्द ने इस्राईल के सब क़बीलों में से चुन लिया था कि अपना नाम वहाँ रखे, सत्रह साल हुकूमत की। उसकी माँ का नाम नामा 'अम्मूनिया था। BSB BSB: Thus King Rehoboam established himself in Jerusalem and reigned. He was forty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city the LORD had chosen from all the tribes of Israel in which to put His Name. His mother’s name was Naamah the Ammonite.
14 ULB और उसने बुराई की, क्यूँकि उसने ख़ुदावन्द की तलाश में अपना दिल न लगाया। BSB BSB: And Rehoboam did evil because he did not set his heart to seek the LORD.
15 ULB और रहुब'आम के काम अव्वल से आख़िर तक, क्या वह समायाह नबी और 'ईद ग़ैबबीन की तवारीखों' में नसबनामों के मुताबिक़ लिखा नहीं? रहुब'आम और युरब'आम के बीच हमेशा जंग रही। BSB BSB: Now the acts of Rehoboam, from first to last, are they not written in the records of Shemaiah the Prophet and of Iddo the Seer concerning the genealogies? There was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam throughout their days.
16 ULB और रहुब'आम अपने बाप-दादा के साथ सो गया, और दाऊद के शहर में दफ़्न हुआ; और उसका बेटा अबियाह उसकी जगह बादशाह हुआ। BSB BSB: And Rehoboam rested with his fathers and was buried in the City of David. And his son Abijah reigned in his place.
