1 ULB ऐ 'अज़ीज़ो! अब मैं तुम्हें ये दूसरा ख़त लिखता हूँ, और याद दिलाने के तौर पर दोनों ख़तों से तुम्हारे साफ़ दिलों को उभारता हूँ, BSB BSB: Beloved, this is now my second letter to you. Both of them are reminders to stir you to wholesome thinking
2 ULB कि तुम उन बातों को जो पाक नबियों ने पहले कहीं, और ख़ुदावन्द और मुन्जी के उस हुक्म को याद रख्खो जो तुम्हारे रसूलों की ज़रिये आया था| BSB BSB: by recalling what was foretold by the holy prophets and commanded by our Lord and Savior through your apostles.
3 ULB और पहले जान लो कि आख़िरी दिनों में ऐसी हँसी ठटठा करनेवाले आएँगे जो अपनी ख़्वाहिशों के मुवाफ़िक़ चलेंगे, BSB BSB: Most importantly, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.
4 ULB और कहेंगे, “उसके आने का वा'दा कहाँ गया? क्यूँकि जब से बाप-दादा सोए हैं, उस वक़्त से अब तक सब कुछ वैसा ही है जैसा दुनिया के शुरू' से था।” BSB BSB: “Where is the promise of His coming?” they will ask. “Ever since our fathers fell asleep, everything continues as it has from the beginning of creation.”
5 ULB वो तो जानबूझ कर ये भूल गए कि ख़ुदा के कलाम के ज़री'ए से आसमान पहले से मौजूद है, और ज़मीन पानी में से बनी और पानी में क़ायम है; BSB BSB: But they deliberately overlook the fact that long ago by God’s word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by water,
6 ULB इन ही के ज़री'ए से उस ज़माने की दुनिया डूब कर हलाक हुई| BSB BSB: through which the world of that time perished in the flood.
7 ULB मगर इस वक़्त के आसमान और ज़मीन उसी कलाम के ज़री'ए से इसलिए रख्खे हैं कि जलाए जाएँ; और वो बेदीन आदमियों की 'अदालत और हलाकत के दिन तक महफ़ूज़ रहेंगे BSB BSB: And by that same word, the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
10 ULB लेकिन खुदावन्द का दिन चोर की तरह आ जाएगा, उस दिन आसमान बड़े शोर-ओ-ग़ुल के साथ बर्बाद हो जाएँगे, और अजराम-ए-फ़लक हरारत की शिद्दत से पिघल जाएँगे, और ज़मीन और उस पर के काम जल जाएँगे| BSB BSB: But the Day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar, the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and its works will be laid bare.
11 ULB जब ये सब चीज़ें इस तरह पिघलने वाली हैं, तो तुम्हें पाक चाल-चलन और दीनदारी में कैसे कुछ होना चाहिए, BSB BSB: Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to conduct yourselves in holiness and godliness
12 ULB और ख़ुदा की 'अदालत के दिन के आने का कैसा कुछ मुन्तज़िर और मुश्ताक़ रहना चाहिए, जिसके ज़रिये आसमान आग से पिघल जाएँगे, और अजराम-ए- फ़लक हरारत की शिद्दत से गल जाएँगे। BSB BSB: as you anticipate and hasten the coming of the day of God, when the heavens will be destroyed by fire and the elements will melt in the heat.
13 ULB लेकिन उसके वादे के मुवाफ़िक़ हम नए आसमान और नई ज़मीन का इन्तज़ार करते हैं, जिनमें रास्तबाज़ी बसी रहेगी| BSB BSB: But in keeping with God’s promise, we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.
14 ULB पस ऐ 'अज़ीज़ो! चूँकि तुम इन बातों के मुन्तज़िर हो, इसलिए उसके सामने इत्मीनान की हालत में बेदाग़ और बे-ऐब निकलने की कोशिश करो, BSB BSB: Therefore, beloved, as you anticipate these things, make every effort to be found at peace—spotless and blameless in His sight.
16 ULB और अपने सब ख़तों में इन बातों का ज़िक्र किया है, जिनमें कुछ बातें ऐसी हैं जिनका समझना मुश्किल है, और जाहिल और बे-क़याम लोग उनके मा'नों को और सहीफ़ो की तरह खींच तान कर अपने लिए हलाकत पैदा करते हैं| BSB BSB: He writes this way in all his letters, speaking in them about such matters. Some parts of his letters are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction.
17 ULB पस ऐ 'अज़ीज़ो! चूँकि तुम पहले से आगाह हो, इसलिए होशियार रहो, ताकि बे-दीनों की गुमराही की तरफ़ खिंच कर अपनीं मज़बूती को छोड़ न दो| BSB BSB: Therefore, beloved, since you already know these things, be on your guard so that you will not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure standing.
18 ULB बल्कि हमारे ख़ुदावन्द और मुन्जी ईसा' मसीह के फ़ज़ल और 'इरफ़ान में बढ़ते जाओ| उसी की बड़ाई अब भी हो,और हमेशा तक होती रहे| आमीन| BSB BSB: But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
