3 ULB और युहन्ना हेरोदेस के दीवान ख़ूज़ा की बीवी, और सूसन्ना, और बहुत सी और 'औरतें भी थीं; जो अपने माल से उनकी ख़िदमत करती थी| BSB BSB: Joanna the wife of Herod’s household manager Chuza, Susanna, and many others. These women were ministering to them out of their own means.
4 ULB फिर जब बड़ी भीड़ उसके पास जमा' हुई और शहर के लोग उसके पास चले आते थे, उसने मिसाल में कहा, BSB BSB: While a large crowd was gathering and people were coming to Jesus from town after town, He told them this parable:
5 ULB “एक बोने वाला अपने बीज बोने निकला, और बोते वक़्त कुछ राह के किनारे गिरा और रौंदा गया और हवा के परिन्दों ने उसे चुग लिया| BSB BSB: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. And as he was sowing, some seed fell along the path, where it was trampled, and the birds of the air devoured it.
6 ULB और कुछ चट्टान पर गिरा और उग कर सूख गया, इसलिए कि उसको नमी न पहुँची| BSB BSB: Some fell on rocky ground, and when it came up, the seedlings withered because they had no moisture.
7 ULB और कुछ झाड़ियों में गिरा और झाड़ियों ने साथ-साथ बढ़कर उसे दबा लिया| BSB BSB: Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up with it and choked the seedlings.
8 ULB और कुछ अच्छी ज़मीन में गिरा और उग कर सौ गुना फल लाया|” ये कह कर उसने पुकारा, "जिसके सुनने के कान हों वो सुन ले|" BSB BSB: Still other seed fell on good soil, where it sprang up and produced a crop—a hundredfold.” As Jesus said this, He called out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
9 ULB उसके शागिर्दों ने उससे पूछा कि ये मिसाल क्या है| BSB BSB: Then His disciples asked Him what this parable meant.
10 ULB उसने कहा, "तुम को ख़ुदा की बादशाही के राज़ों की समझ दी गई है, मगर औरों को मिसाल में सुनाया जाता है, ताकि 'देखते हुए न देखें, और सुनते हुए न समझें|' BSB BSB: He replied, “The knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that, ‘though seeing, they may not see; though hearing, they may not understand.’
11 ULB वो मिसाल ये है, कि बीज ख़ुदा का कलाम है| BSB BSB: Now this is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God.
12 ULB राह के किनारे के वो हैं, जिन्होंने सुना फिर शैतान आकर कलाम को उनके दिल से छीन ले जाता है ऐसा न हो कि वो ईमान लाकर नजात पाएँ| BSB BSB: The seeds along the path are those who hear, but the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.
13 ULB और चट्टान पर वो हैं जो सुनकर कलाम को ख़ुशी से क़ुबूल कर लेते हैं, लेकिन जड़ नहीं पकड़ते मगर कुछ 'अरसे तक ईमान रख कर आज़माइश के वक़्त मुड़ जाते हैं| BSB BSB: The seeds on rocky ground are those who hear the word and receive it with joy, but they have no root. They believe for a season, but in the time of testing, they fall away.
14 ULB और जो झाड़ियों में पड़ा उससे वो लोग मुराद हैं, जिन्होंने सुना लेकिन होते होते इस ज़िन्दगी की फ़िक्रों और दौलत और 'ऐश-ओ-'इशरत में फँस जाते हैं और उनका फल पकता नहीं| BSB BSB: The seeds that fell among the thorns are those who hear, but as they go on their way, they are choked by the worries, riches, and pleasures of this life, and their fruit does not mature.
15 ULB मगर अच्छी ज़मीन के वो हैं, जो कलाम को सुनकर 'उम्दा और नेक दिल में सम्भाले रहते है और सब्र से फल लाते हैं| BSB BSB: But the seeds on good soil are those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, cling to it, and by persevering produce a crop.
16 ULB कोई शख़्स चराग़ जला कर बर्तन से नहीं छिपाता न पलंग के नीचे रखता है, बल्कि चिराग़दान पर रखता है ताकि अन्दर आने वालों को रौशनी दिखाई दे| BSB BSB: No one lights a lamp and covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, he sets it on a stand, so those who enter can see the light.
17 ULB क्यूँकि कोई चीज़ छिपी नहीं जो ज़ाहिर न हो जाएगी, और न कोई ऐसी छिपी बात है जो माँ'लूम न होगी और सामने न आए BSB BSB: For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be made known and brought to light.
18 ULB पस ख़बरदार रहो कि तुम किस तरह सुनते हो? क्यूँकि जिसके पास नहीं है वो भी ले लिया जाएगा जो अपना समझता है|" BSB BSB: Pay attention, therefore, to how you listen. Whoever has will be given more, but whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has will be taken away from him.”
19 ULB फिर उसकी माँ और उसके भाई उसके पास आए, मगर भीड़ की वजह से उस तक न पहुँच सके| BSB BSB: Then Jesus’ mother and brothers came to see Him, but they were unable to reach Him because of the crowd.
20 ULB और उसे ख़बर दी गई," तेरी माँ और तेरे भाई बाहर खड़े हैं, और तुझ से मिलना चाहते हैं|" BSB BSB: He was told, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to see You.”
21 ULB उसने जवाब में उनसे कहा, "मेरी माँ और मेरे भाई तो ये हैं, जो ख़ुदा का कलाम सुनते और उस पर 'अमल करते हैं|" BSB BSB: But He replied, “My mother and brothers are those who hear the word of God and carry it out.”
22 ULB फिर एक दिन ऐसा हुआ कि वो और उसके शागिर्द नाव में सवार हुए| उसने उनसे कहा, "आओ, झील के पार चलें वो सब रवाना हुए|" BSB BSB: One day Jesus said to His disciples, “Let us cross to the other side of the lake.” So He got into a boat with them and set out.
23 ULB मगर जब नाव चली जाती थी तो वो सो गया| और झील पर बड़ी आँधी आई और नाव पानी से भरी जाती थी और वो ख़तरे में थे| BSB BSB: As they sailed, He fell asleep, and a windstorm came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger.
24 ULB उन्होंने पास आकर उसे जगाया और कहा, "साहेब! साहेब! हम हलाक हुए जाते हैं!" उसने उठकर हवा को और पानी के ज़ोर-शोर को झिड़का और दोनों थम गए और अम्न हो गया| BSB BSB: The disciples went and woke Him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” Then Jesus got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters, and they subsided, and all was calm.
25 ULB उसने उनसे कहा, "तुम्हारा ईमान कहाँ गया? वो डर गए और ता'अज्जुब करके आपस में कहने लगे, "ये कौन है? ये तो हवा और पानी को हुक्म देता है और वो उसकी मानते हैं!" BSB BSB: “Where is your faith?” He asked. Frightened and amazed, they asked one another, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey Him!”
26 ULB फिर वो गिरासीनियों के 'इलाक़े में जा पहुँचे जो उस पार गलील के सामने है| BSB BSB: Then they sailed to the region of the Gerasenes, across the lake from Galilee.
27 ULB जब वो किनारे पर उतरा तो शहर का एक मर्द उसे मिला जिसमें बदरूहें थीं, और उसने बड़ी मुद्दत से कपड़े न पहने थे और वो घर में नहीं बल्कि क़ब्रों में रहा करता था| BSB BSB: When Jesus stepped ashore, He was met by a demon-possessed man from the town. For a long time this man had not worn clothing or lived in a house, but he stayed in the tombs.
28 ULB वो ईसा' को देख कर चिल्लाया और उसके आगे गिर कर बुलन्द आवाज़ से कहने लगा, "ऐ ईसा'! ख़ुदा के बेटे, मुझे तुझ से क्या काम? मैं तेरी मिन्नत करता हूँ कि मुझे 'अजाब में न डाल|" BSB BSB: When the man saw Jesus, he cried out and fell down before Him, shouting in a loud voice, “What do You want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You not to torture me!”
29 ULB क्यूँकि वो उस बदरूह को हुक्म देता था कि इस आदमी में से निकल जा, इसलिए कि उसने उसको अक्सर पकड़ा था; और हर चन्द लोग उसे ज़ंजीरो और बेड़ियों से जकड़ कर क़ाबू में रखते थे, तो भी वो जंजीरों को तोड़ डालता था और बदरुह उसको वीरानों में भगाए फिरती थी| BSB BSB: For Jesus had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. Many times it had seized him, and though he was bound with chains and shackles, he had broken the chains and been driven by the demon into solitary places.
30 ULB ईसा' ने उससे पूछा, "तेरा क्या नाम है? उसने कहा, "लश्कर!" क्यूँकि उसमें बहुत सी बदरुहें थीं| BSB BSB: “What is your name?” Jesus asked. “Legion,” he replied, because many demons had gone into him.
31 ULB और वो उसकी मिन्नत करने लगीं कि हमें गहरे गड्ढे में जाने का हुक्म न दे| BSB BSB: And the demons kept begging Jesus not to order them to go into the Abyss.
32 ULB वहाँ पहाड़ पर सूअरों का एक बड़ा ग़ोल चर रहा था| उन्होंने उसकी मिन्नत की कि हमें उनके अन्दर जाने दे; उसने उन्हें जाने दिया| BSB BSB: There on the hillside a large herd of pigs was feeding. So the demons begged Jesus to let them enter the pigs, and He gave them permission.
33 ULB और बदरुहें उस आदमी में से निकल कर सूअरों के अन्दर गईं और ग़ोल किनारे पर से झपट कर झील में जा पड़ा और डूब मरा| BSB BSB: Then the demons came out of the man and went into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and was drowned.
34 ULB ये माजरा देख कर चराने वाले भागे और जाकर शहर और गांव में ख़बर दी| BSB BSB: When those tending the pigs saw what had happened, they ran off and reported this in the town and countryside.
35 ULB लोग उस माजरे को देखने को निकले, और ईसा' के पास आकर उस आदमी को जिसमें से बदरुहें निकली थीं, कपड़े पहने और होश में ईसा' के पाँव के पास बैठे पाया और डर गए| BSB BSB: So the people went out to see what had happened. They came to Jesus and found the man whom the demons had left, sitting at Jesus’ feet, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.
36 ULB और देखने वालों ने उनको ख़बर दी कि जिसमें बदरुहें थीं वो किस तरह अच्छा हुआ| BSB BSB: Meanwhile, those who had seen it reported how the demon-possessed man had been healed.
37 ULB गिरासीनियों के आस पास के सब लोगों ने उससे दरख़्वास्त की कि हमारे पास से चला जा; क्यूँकि उन पर बड़ी दहशत छा गई थी| पस वो नाव में बैठकर वापस गया| BSB BSB: Then all the people of the region of the Gerasenes asked Jesus to depart from them, because great fear had taken hold of them. So He got into the boat and started back.
38 ULB लेकिन जिस शख़्स में से बदरुहें निकल गई थीं, वो उसकी मिन्नत करके कहने लगा कि मुझे अपने साथ रहने दे, मगर ईसा' ने उसे रुख़्सत करके कहा, BSB BSB: The man whom the demons had left begged to go with Jesus. But He sent him away, saying,
39 ULB "अपने घर को लौट कर लोगों से बयान कर, कि ख़ुदा ने तेरे लिए कैसे बड़े काम किए हैं|" वो रवाना होकर तमाम शहर में चर्चा करने लगा कि ईसा' ने मेरे लिए कैसे बड़े काम किए| BSB BSB: “Return home and describe how much God has done for you.” So the man went away and proclaimed all over the town how much Jesus had done for him.
40 ULB जब ईसा' वापस आ रहा था तो लोग उससे ख़ुशी के साथ मिले, क्यूँकि सब उसकी राह देखते थे| BSB BSB: When Jesus returned, the crowd welcomed Him, for they had all been waiting for Him.
41 ULB और देखो, याईर नाम एक शख़्स जो 'इबादतख़ाने का सरदार था, आया और ईसा' के क़दमों पे गिरकर उससे मिन्नत की कि मेरे घर चल, BSB BSB: Just then a synagogue leader named Jairus came and fell at Jesus’ feet. He begged Him to come to his house,
42 ULB क्यूँकि उसकी इकलौती बेटी जो तक़रीबन बारह बरस की थी, मरने को थी| और जब वो जा रहा था तो लोग उस पर गिरे पड़ते थे| BSB BSB: because his only daughter, who was about twelve, was dying. As Jesus went with him, the crowds pressed around Him,
43 ULB और एक 'औरत ने जिसके बारह बरस से ख़ून जारी था, और अपना सारा माल हकीमों पर ख़र्च कर चुकी थी, और किसी के हाथ से अच्छी न हो सकी थी; BSB BSB: including a woman who had suffered from bleeding for twelve years. She had spent all her money on physicians, but no one was able to heal her.
44 ULB उसके पीछे आकर उसकी पोशाक का किनारा हुआ, और उसी दम उसका ख़ून बहना बन्द हो गया| BSB BSB: She came up behind Jesus and touched the fringe of His cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped.
45 ULB इस पर ईसा' ने कहा, "वो कौन है जिसने मुझे छुआ?" जब सब इन्कार करने लगे तो पतरस और उसके साथियों ने कहा, "ऐ साहेब! लोग तुझे दबाते और तुझ पर गिरे पड़ते हैं|" BSB BSB: “Who touched Me?” Jesus asked. But they all denied it. “Master,” said Peter, “the people are crowding and pressing against You.”
46 ULB मगर ईसा' ने कहा, "किसी ने मुझे छुआ तो है, क्यूँकि मैंने मा'लूम किया कि क़ुव्वत मुझ से निकली है|" BSB BSB: But Jesus declared, “Someone touched Me, for I know that power has gone out from Me.”
47 ULB जब उस 'औरत ने देखा कि मैं छिप नहीं सकती, तो वो काँपती हुई आई और उसके आगे गिरकर सब लोगों के सामने बयान किया कि मैंने किस वजह से तुझे छुआ, और किस तरह उसी दम शिफ़ा पा गई| BSB BSB: Then the woman, seeing that she could not escape notice, came trembling and fell down before Him. In the presence of all the people, she explained why she had touched Him and how she had immediately been healed.
48 ULB उसने उससे कहा, "बेटी! तेरे ईमान ने तुझे अच्छा किया है, सलामत चली जा|" BSB BSB: “Daughter,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”
49 ULB वो ये कह ही रहा था कि 'इबादतख़ाने के सरदार के यहाँ से किसी ने आकर कहा, "तेरी बेटी मर गई: उस्ताद को तकलीफ़ न दे|" BSB BSB: While He was still speaking, someone arrived from the house of the synagogue leader. “Your daughter is dead,” he told Jairus. “Do not bother the Teacher anymore.”
50 ULB ईसा' ने सुनकर जवाब दिया, ख़ौफ़ न कर; फ़क़त 'ऐतिक़ाद रख, वो बच जाएगी|" BSB BSB: But Jesus overheard them and said to Jairus, “Do not be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”
51 ULB और घर में पहुँचकर पतरस, युहन्ना और या'क़ूब और लड़की के माँ बाप के सिवा किसी को अपने साथ अन्दर न जाने दिया| BSB BSB: When He entered the house, He did not allow anyone to go in with Him except Peter, John, James, and the child’s father and mother.
52 ULB और सब उसके लिए रो पीट रहे थे, मगर उसने कहा, "मातम न करो! वो मर नहीं गई बल्कि सोती है|" BSB BSB: Meanwhile, everyone was weeping and mourning for her. But Jesus said, “Stop weeping; she is not dead but asleep.”
53 ULB वो उस पर हँसने लगे क्यूँकि जानते थे कि वो मर गई है| BSB BSB: And they laughed at Him, knowing that she was dead.
54 ULB मगर उसने उसका हाथ पकड़ा और पुकार कर कहा, "ऐ लड़की, उठ!" BSB BSB: But Jesus took her by the hand and called out, “Child, get up!”
55 ULB उसकी रूह वापस आई और वो उसी दम उठी| फिर ईसा' ने हुक्म दिया," लड़की को कुछ खाने को दिया जाए|" BSB BSB: Her spirit returned, and at once she got up. And He directed that she be given something to eat.
56 ULB माँ बाप हैरान हुए| उसने उन्हें ताकीद की कि ये माजरा किसी से न कहना| BSB BSB: Her parents were astounded, but Jesus ordered them not to tell anyone what had happened.
