2 ULB और हारून के बेटों के नाम यह हैं: नदब जो पहलौठा था, और अबीहू और इली'अज़र और इतमर। BSB BSB: These are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab the firstborn, then Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

4 ULB ~और नदब और अबीहू तो जब उन्होंने~दश्त-ए-सीना में ख़ुदावन्द के सामने ऊपरी आग पेश कीं तब ही ख़ुदावन्द के सामने मर गए, और वह बे-औलाद भी थे। और इली'अज़र और इतमर अपने बाप हारून के सामने कहानत की ख़िदमत को अन्जाम देते थे। BSB BSB: Nadab and Abihu, however, died in the presence of the LORD when they offered unauthorized fire before the LORD in the Wilderness of Sinai. And since they had no sons, only Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests during the lifetime of their father Aaron.
5 ULB और ख़ुदावन्द ने मूसा से कहा, BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to Moses,
6 ULB ~"लावी के क़बीले को नज़दीक लाकर हारून काहिन के आगे हाज़िर कर ताकि वह उसकी ख़िदमत करें। BSB BSB: “Bring the tribe of Levi and present them to Aaron the priest to assist him.
7 ULB और जो कुछ उसकी तरफ़ से और जमा'अत की तरफ़ से उनको सौंपा जाए वह सब की ख़ेमा-ए-इजितमा'अ के आगे निगहबानी करें ताकि घर की ख़िदमत बजा लाएँ। BSB BSB: They are to perform duties for him and for the whole congregation before the Tent of Meeting, attending to the service of the tabernacle.
8 ULB ~और वह ख़ेमा-ए-इजितमा'अ के सब सामान की और बनी-इस्राईल की सारी अमानत की हिफ़ाज़त करें ताकि घर की ख़िदमत बजा लाएँ। BSB BSB: They shall take care of all the furnishings of the Tent of Meeting and fulfill obligations for the Israelites by attending to the service of the tabernacle.
9 ULB ~और तू लावियों को हारून और उसके बेटों के हाथ में सुपर्द कर; बनी-इस्राईल की तरफ़ से वह बिल्कुल उसे दे दिए गए हैं। BSB BSB: Assign the Levites to Aaron and his sons; they have been given exclusively to him from among the Israelites.
10 ULB और हारून और उसके बेटों को मुक़र्रर कर, और वह अपनी कहानत को महफ़ूज़ रख्खे और अगर कोई अजनबी नज़दीक आये तो वह जान से मारा जाए।" BSB BSB: So you shall appoint Aaron and his sons to carry out the duties of the priesthood; but any outsider who approaches the tabernacle must be put to death.”
11 ULB ~और ख़ुदावन्द ने मूसा से कहा कि; BSB BSB: Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
12 ULB ~"देख, मैंने बनी-इस्राईल में से लावियों को उन सभों के बदले में ले लिया है जो इस्राईलियों में पहलौठी के बच्चे हैं, इसलिए लावी मेरे हों। BSB BSB: “Behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel in place of every firstborn Israelite from the womb. The Levites belong to Me,
13 ULB ~क्यूँकि सब पहलौठे मेरे हैं, इसलिए कि जिस दिन मैंने मुल्क-ए-मिस्र में सब पहलौठों को मारा, उसी दिन मैंने बनी-इस्राईल के सब पहलौठों को, क्या इन्सान और क्या हैवान, अपने लिए पाक किया; इसलिए वह ज़रूर मेरे हों। मैं ख़ुदावन्द हूँ।" BSB BSB: for all the firstborn are Mine. On the day I struck down every firstborn in the land of Egypt, I consecrated to Myself all the firstborn in Israel, both man and beast. They are Mine; I am the LORD.”
14 ULB ~फिर ख़ुदावन्द ने दश्त-ए-सीना में मूसा से कहा, BSB BSB: Then the LORD spoke to Moses in the Wilderness of Sinai, saying,
15 ULB ~"बनी लावी को उनके आबाई ख़ान्दानों और घरानों के मुताबिक़ शुमार कर, या'नी एक महीने और उससे ऊपर-ऊपर के हर लड़के को गिनना।" BSB BSB: “Number the Levites by their families and clans. You are to count every male a month old or more.”
16 ULB ~चुनाँचे मूसा ने ख़ुदावन्द के हुक्म के मुताबिक़ जो उसने उसे दिया, उनको गिना। BSB BSB: So Moses numbered them according to the word of the LORD, as he had been commanded.
17 ULB ~और लावी के बेटों के नाम यह हैं: जैरसोन और क़िहात और मिरारी। BSB BSB: These were the sons of Levi by name: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
18 ULB ~जैरसोन के बेटों के नाम जिनसे उनके ख़ान्दान चले यह हैं: लिबनी और सिम'ई। BSB BSB: These were the names of the sons of Gershon by their clans: Libni and Shimei.
19 ULB और क़िहात के बेटों के नाम जिनसे उनके ख़ान्दान चले 'अमराम और इज़हार और हब्रून और 'उज़्ज़ीएल हैं। BSB BSB: The sons of Kohath by their clans were Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.
20 ULB ~और मिरारी के बेटे जिनसे उनके ख़ान्दान चले, महली और मूशी हैं। लावियों के घराने उनके आबाई ख़ान्दानों के मुवाफ़िक़ यही हैं। BSB BSB: And the sons of Merari by their clans were Mahli and Mushi. These were the clans of the Levites, according to their families.
21 ULB ~और जैरसोन से लिबनियों और सिम'इयों के ख़ान्दान चले; यह जैरसोनियों के ख़ान्दान हैं। BSB BSB: From Gershon came the Libnite clan and the Shimeite clan; these were the Gershonite clans.
22 ULB ~इनमें जितने फ़रज़न्द-ए-नरीना एक महीने और उससे ऊपर-ऊपर के थे वह सब गिने गए और उनका शुमार सात हज़ार पाँच सौ था। BSB BSB: The number of all the males a month old or more was 7,500.
23 ULB ~जैरसोनियों के ख़ान्दानों के आदमी घर के पीछे पश्चिम की तरफ़ अपने ख़ेमे लगाया करें। BSB BSB: The Gershonite clans were to camp on the west, behind the tabernacle,
24 ULB और लाएल का बेटा इलियासफ़, जैरसोनियों के आबाई ख़ान्दानों का सरदार हो। BSB BSB: and the leader of the families of the Gershonites was Eliasaph son of Lael.

31 ULB और सन्दूक़ और मेज़ और शमा'दान और दोनों मज़बहे और हैकल के बर्तन, जो 'इबादत के काम में आते हैं, और पर्दे और हैकल में बर्तन का सारा सामान, यह सब उनके ज़िम्मे हों। BSB BSB: Their duties were the ark, the table, the lampstand, the altars, the articles of the sanctuary used with them, and the curtain—all the service for these items.

35 ULB ~और अबीख़ेल का बेटा सूरीएल मिरारियों के घरानों के आबाई ख़ान्दान का सरदार हो। यह लोग घर की उत्तरी सिम्त में अपने ख़ेमे डाला करें। BSB BSB: The leader of the families of the Merarites was Zuriel son of Abihail; they were to camp on the north side of the tabernacle.
36 ULB और घर के तख़्तों और उसकी बेडों और सुतूनों और ~ख़ानों और उसके सब आलात, और उसकी ख़िदमत के सब लवाज़िम की मुहाफ़िज़त, BSB BSB: The duties assigned to the sons of Merari were the tabernacle’s frames, crossbars, posts, bases, and all its equipment—all the service for these items,

They were to perform the duties of the sanctuary as a service on behalf of the Israelites; but any outsider who approached the sanctuary was to be put to death.

40 ULB ~और ख़ुदावन्द ने मूसा से कहा कि "बनीइस्राईल के सब नरीना पहलौटे, एक महीने और उससे ऊपर-ऊपर के गिन ले और उनके नामों का शुमार लगा। BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to Moses, “Number every firstborn male of the Israelites a month old or more, and list their names.
41 ULB ~और बनी-इस्राईल के सब पहलौठों के बदले लावियों को, और बनी-इस्राईल के चौपायों के सब पहलौठों के बदले लावियों के चौपायों को मेरे लिए ले। मैं ख़ुदावन्द हूँ।" BSB BSB: You are to take the Levites for Me—I am the LORD—in place of all the firstborn of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites in place of all the firstborn of the livestock of the Israelites.”
42 ULB चुनाँचे मूसा ने ख़ुदावन्द के हुक्म के मुताबिक़ बनी-इस्राईल के सब पहलौठों को गिना। BSB BSB: So Moses numbered all the firstborn of the Israelites, as the LORD had commanded him.
43 ULB ~तब जितने नरीना पहलौठे एक महीने और उससे ऊपर-ऊपर की 'उम्र के गिने गए, वह नामों के शुमार के मुताबिक़ बाईस हज़ार दो सौ तिहतर थे। BSB BSB: The total number of the firstborn males a month old or more, listed by name, was 22,273.
44 ULB ~और ख़ुदावन्द ने मूसा से कहा कि; BSB BSB: Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
45 ULB ~'बनी-इस्राईल के सब पहलौठों के बदले लावियों को, और उनके चौपायों के बदले लावियों के चौपायों को ले; और लावी मेरे हों, मैं ख़ुदावन्द हूँ। BSB BSB: “Take the Levites in place of all the firstborn of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites in place of their livestock. The Levites belong to Me; I am the LORD.
46 ULB ~और बनी-इस्राईल के पहलौठों में जो दो सौ तिहत्तर लावियों के शुमार से ज़्यादा हैं, उनके फ़िदिये के लिए BSB BSB: To redeem the 273 firstborn Israelites who outnumber the Levites,
47 ULB तू हैकल की मिस्काल के हिसाब से हर शख़्स पाँच मिस्काल लेना (एक मिस्क़ाल बीस जीरह का होता है)। BSB BSB: you are to collect five shekels for each one, according to the sanctuary shekel of twenty gerahs.
48 ULB ~और इनके फ़िदिये का रुपया जो शुमार में ज़्यादा हैं तू हारून और उसके बेटों को देना।” BSB BSB: Give the money to Aaron and his sons as the redemption price for the excess among the Israelites.”
49 ULB ~तब जो उनसे जिनको लावियों ने छुड़ाया था, शुमार में ज़्यादा निकले थे उनके फ़िदिये का रुपया मूसा ने उनसे लिया। BSB BSB: So Moses collected the redemption money from those in excess of the number redeemed by the Levites.
50 ULB ~ये रुपया उसने बनी-इस्राईल के पहलौठों से लिया, इसलिए हैकल की मिस्काल के हिसाब से एक हज़ार तीन सौ पैंसठ मिस्क़ालें वसूल हुई। BSB BSB: He collected the money from the firstborn of the Israelites: 1,365 shekels, according to the sanctuary shekel.
51 ULB ~और मूसा ने ख़ुदावन्द के हुक्म के मुताबिक़ फ़िदिये का रुपया जैसा ख़ुदावन्द ने मूसा को फ़रमाया था, हारून और उसके बेटों को दिया। BSB BSB: And Moses gave the redemption money to Aaron and his sons in obedience to the word of the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded him.
