1. 1ULB~हम बाबुल की नदियों पर बैठे, और सिय्यून को याद करके रोए।BSBBSB: By the rivers of Babylon we sat and wept when we remembered Zion.
2. 2ULB~वहाँ बेद के दरख़्तों पर उनके वस्त में, हम ने अपने सितारों को टाँग दिया।BSBBSB: There on the willows we hung our harps,
3. 3ULB~क्यूँकि वहाँ हम को ग़ुलाम करने वालों ने हम्द गाने का हुक्म दिया, और तबाह करने वालों ने खु़शी करने का, और कहा, "सिय्यून के हम्दों में से हमको कोई हम्द सुनाओ!"BSBBSB: for there our captors requested a song; our tormentors demanded songs of joy: “Sing us a song of Zion.”
4. 4ULB~हम परदेस में, ख़ुदावन्द का हम्द कैसे गाएँ?BSBBSB: How can we sing a song of the LORD in a foreign land?
5. 5ULB~~ऐ यरूशलीम! अगर मैं तुझे भूलूँ, तो मेरा दहना हाथ अपना हुनर भूल जाए।BSBBSB: If I forget you, O Jerusalem, may my right hand cease to function.
6. 6ULB~अगर मैं तुझे याद न रख्खूँ, अगर मैं यरूशलीम को, अपनी बड़ी से बड़ी ख़ुशी पर तरजीह न दूँ मेरी ज़बान मेरे तालू से चिपक जाए!BSBBSB: May my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth if I do not remember you, if I do not exalt Jerusalem as my greatest joy!
7. 7ULB~ऐ ख़ुदावन्द! यरूशलीम के दिन को, बनी अदोम के ख़िलाफ़ याद कर, जो कहते थे, "इसे ढा दो, इसे बुनियाद तक ढा दो!"BSBBSB: Remember, O LORD, the sons of Edom on the day Jerusalem fell: “Destroy it,” they said, “tear it down to its foundations!”
8. 8ULB~ऐ बाबुल की बेटी! जो हलाक होने वाली है, वह मुबारक होगा, जो तुझे उस सुलूक का, जो तूने हम से किया बदला दे।BSBBSB: O Daughter of Babylon, doomed to destruction, blessed is he who repays you as you have done to us.
