1. 1URDOUCVہم آپ سَب کو اُس زندگی کے کلام کی بابت بَیان کرتے ہیں جو اِبتدا سے مَوجُود تھا، جسے ہم نے اَپنے کانوں سے سُنا، اَپنی آنکھوں سے دیکھا، اَور جِس کا مشاہدہ ہم نے کیا اَور جسے ہم نے اَپنے ہاتھوں سے بھی چھُوا۔BSBBSB: That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our own eyes, which we have gazed upon and touched with our own hands—this is the Word of life.
2. 2URDOUCVیہی کلام جو زندگی ہے ہم پر ظاہر ہُوا اَور ہم نے اُسے دیکھا اَور اُس کی گواہی دیتے اَور تُمہیں اُسی اَبدی زندگی کا پیغام دیتے ہیں جو خُدا باپ کے ساتھ تھا اَور ہم پر ظاہر ہُوا۔BSBBSB: And this is the life that was revealed; we have seen it and testified to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us.
3. 3URDOUCVہم نے جو کچھ دیکھا اَور سُنا اُس کی خبر تُمہیں بھی دیتے ہیں تاکہ تُم بھی ہماری رِفاقت میں جو خُدا باپ اَور اُس کے بیٹے یِسوعؔ المسیح کے ساتھ ہے، شریک ہو جاؤ۔BSBBSB: We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And this fellowship of ours is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.
4. 4URDOUCVاَور یہ خط ہم اِس لیٔے لِکھ رہے ہیں کہ ہماری خُوشی پُوری ہو جائے۔BSBBSB: We write these things so that our joy may be complete.
5. 5URDOUCVجو پیغام ہم نے المسیح سے سُنا اَور تُمہیں سُناتے ہیں وہ یہ ہے کہ خُدا نُور ہے اَور اُس میں ذرا بھی تاریکی نہیں ہے۔BSBBSB: And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you: God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
6. 6URDOUCVاگر ہم دعویٰ کرتے ہیں کی خُدا کے ساتھ ہماری رِفاقت ہے اَور ہم خُود تاریکی میں چلتے ہیں تو ہم جھُوٹے ہیں اَور حق پر عَمل نہیں کر رہے ہیں۔BSBBSB: If we say we have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
7. 7URDOUCVلیکن اگر ہم نُور میں چلتے ہیں جَیسا کہ خُدا نُور میں ہے تو پھر ہم ایک دُوسرے کے ساتھ رِفاقت رکھتے ہیں اَور اُس کے بیٹے یِسوعؔ کا خُون ہمیں تمام گُناہوں سے پاک صَاف کر دیتاہے۔BSBBSB: But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
8. 8URDOUCVاگر ہم دعویٰ کرتے ہیں کہ ہم بےگُناہ ہیں تو اَپنے آپ کو فریب دیتے ہیں اَور ہم میں سچّائی نہیں ہے۔BSBBSB: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9. 9URDOUCVلیکن اگر ہم اَپنے گُناہوں کا اقرار کریں، تو وہ ہمارے گُناہوں کو مُعاف کرنے اَور ہمیں ساری ناراستی سے پاک صَاف کرنے میں وفادار اَور عادل ہے۔BSBBSB: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10. 10URDOUCVاگر ہم دعویٰ کریں کہ ہم نے گُناہ نہیں کیا ہے تو ہم خُدا کو جھُوٹا ٹھہراتے ہیں اَور اُس کا کلام ہمارے اَندر ہے ہی نہیں۔BSBBSB: If we say we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word is not in us.
