1. 1URDOUCVاَے بنی اِسرائیل یہ کلام سُنو۔ مَیں یہ نوحہ تمہاری بابت کر رہا ہُوں،BSBBSB: Hear this word, O house of Israel, this lamentation I take up against you:
2. 2URDOUCVکنواری اِسرائیل گِر گئی اَور پھر کبھی نہیں اُٹھے گی، وہ اَپنے ہی مُلک میں تنہا چھوڑ دی گئی اَور کویٔی اُس کو اُٹھانے والا نہیں۔BSBBSB: “Fallen is Virgin Israel, never to rise again. She lies abandoned on her land, with no one to raise her up.”
3. 3URDOUCVیَاہوِہ قادر یُوں فرماتے ہیں، تمہارا شہر اِسرائیل جو ایک ہزار سُورماؤں کو لے کر آگے کوچ کرتا تھا اُس میں سے صِرف سَو باقی رہ جایٔیں گے؛ اَور تمہارے قصبے جِس میں سے سَو نکلتے تھے اُس میں دس ہی باقی رہ جایٔیں گے۔BSBBSB: This is what the Lord GOD says: “The city that marches out a thousand strong will have but a hundred left, and the one that marches out a hundred strong will have but ten left in the house of Israel.”
4. 4URDOUCVیَاہوِہ بنی اِسرائیل سے یُوں فرماتے ہیں، تُم میری تلاش کرو اَور زندہ رہو؛BSBBSB: For this is what the LORD says to the house of Israel: “Seek Me and live!
5. 5URDOUCVبیت ایل کے طالب نہ بنو، گِلگالؔ میں داخل مت ہو، بیرشبعؔ کو نہ جاؤ، کیونکہ گِلگالؔ ضروُر اسیری میں جائے گا، اَور بیت ایل کا نام و نِشان مِٹ جائے گا۔BSBBSB: Do not seek Bethel or go to Gilgal; do not journey to Beersheba, for Gilgal will surely go into exile, and Bethel will come to nothing.
6. 6URDOUCVیَاہوِہ کی تلاش کرو اَور زندہ رہو، اَیسا نہ ہو کہ وہ آگ کی مانند بنی یُوسیفؔ پر بھڑکے؛ اَور اُسے نگل جائے، اَور بیت ایل میں اُسے بُجھانے والا کوئی نہ ہو۔BSBBSB: Seek the LORD and live, or He will sweep like fire through the house of Joseph; it will devour everything, with no one at Bethel to extinguish it.
7. 7URDOUCVاَیسے لوگ ہیں جو اِنصاف کو تلخی میں بدل دیتے ہیں، اَور راستبازی کو خاک میں مِلانے والوں،BSBBSB: There are those who turn justice into wormwood and cast righteousness to the ground.
8. 8URDOUCVجِس نے ثریّا اَور جبّار بنایا ہے، جو اَندھیرے کو صُبح کی رَوشنی میں، اَور دِن کو رات کے اَندھیرے میں تبدیل کرتے ہیں، جو سمُندر کے پانی کو بُلاتے ہیں اَور روئے زمین پر اُنڈیل دیتے ہیں۔ اُن کا نام یَاہوِہ ہے۔BSBBSB: He who made the Pleiades and Orion, who turns darkness into dawn and darkens day into night, who summons the waters of the sea and pours them over the face of the earth—the LORD is His name—
9. 9URDOUCVوہ پَلک جھپکتے ہی قلعہ کو نِیست و نابود کر دیتے ہیں، اَور فصیلدار شہر کو تباہ کر دیتے ہیں۔BSBBSB: He flashes destruction on the strong, so that fury comes upon the stronghold.
10. 10URDOUCVاَیسے لوگ ہیں جو عدالت میں اِنصاف کو قائِم کرنے والوں سے عداوت رکھتے ہیں، اَورجو سچ کہتاہے اُسے حقیر سمجھتے ہیں۔BSBBSB: There are those who hate the one who reproves in the gate and despise him who speaks with integrity.
11. 11URDOUCVتُم غریبوں کے بھُوسے پر بھی محصُول لیتے ہو، اَور اُن کے اناج پر بھی زبردستی محصُول لگاتے ہو۔ اِس لئے اگر تُم نے اَپنے لئے پتّھروں کے محلوں کو بھی تعمیر کیا ہو تو بھی، تُم اُس میں رہنے نہ پاؤگے؛ اگرچہ تُم نے نفیس تاکستان بھی لگائے ہوں تو بھی تُم اُن کی مَے نہ پی سکوگے۔BSBBSB: Therefore, because you trample on the poor and exact from him a tax of grain, you will never live in the stone houses you have built; you will never drink the wine from the lush vineyards you have planted.
12. 12URDOUCVکیونکہ مَیں تمہاری بے شُمار خطاؤں اَور گُناہِ عظیم سے واقف ہُوں۔ تُم نیکوکار کو ستاتے ہو اَور رشوت لیتے ہو اَور اَپنی عدالت میں غریبوں کو اِنصاف سے محروم رکھتے ہو۔BSBBSB: For I know that your transgressions are many and your sins are numerous. You oppress the righteous by taking bribes; you deprive the poor of justice in the gate.
13. 13URDOUCVاِس لیٔے اَیسے وقت میں دانا چُپ رہتاہے کیونکہ وقت بُرا ہے۔BSBBSB: Therefore, the prudent keep silent in such times, for the days are evil.
14. 14URDOUCVبدی کے نہیں بَلکہ نیکی کے طالب ہو تاکہ تُم زندہ رہو۔ تَب یَاہوِہ قادرمُطلق خُدا تمہارے ساتھ رہیں گے، جَیسا کہ تمہارا دعویٰ ہے کہ وہ تمہارے ساتھ ہیں۔BSBBSB: Seek good, not evil, so that you may live. And the LORD, the God of Hosts, will be with you, as you have claimed.
15. 15URDOUCVبدی سے نفرت رکھو اَور نیکی سے مَحَبّت؛ عدالت میں اِنصاف قائِم کرو۔ شاید یَاہوِہ قادرمُطلق خُدا بنی یُوسیفؔ کے بقیّہ پر رحم کرے۔BSBBSB: Hate evil and love good; establish justice in the gate. Perhaps the LORD, the God of Hosts, will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.”
16. 16URDOUCVاِس لیٔے خُداوؔند یَاہوِہ قادرمُطلق خُدا فرماتے ہیں: سَب گلیوں میں نوحہ ہوگا اَور ہر چوراہے پر آہ و ماتم ہوگا۔ کِسانوں کو ماتم کرنے کے لیٔے اَور نوحہ گِر، نوحہ کرنے کے لیٔے بُلائے جایٔیں گے۔BSBBSB: Therefore this is what the LORD, the God of Hosts, the Lord, says: “There will be wailing in all the public squares and cries of ‘Alas! Alas!’ in all the streets. The farmer will be summoned to mourn, and the mourners to wail.
17. 17URDOUCVسَب تاکستانوں میں ماتم ہوگا، کیونکہ مَیں تمہارے درمیان ہوکر گزروں گا، یَاہوِہ کا یہ فرمان ہے،BSBBSB: There will be wailing in all the vineyards, for I will pass through your midst,” says the LORD.
18. 18URDOUCVتُم پر ہائے، جو یَاہوِہ کے دِن کی آرزُو کرتے ہو، تُم یَاہوِہ کے دِن کی آرزُو کیوں کرتے ہو؟ وہ تو تاریکی کا دِن ہوگا، رَوشنی کا نہیں۔BSBBSB: Woe to you who long for the Day of the LORD! What will the Day of the LORD be for you? It will be darkness and not light.
19. 19URDOUCVوہ دِن اَیسا ہوگا گویا کویٔی آدمی شیرببر سے اَپنی جان بچا کے بھاگے اَور راستہ میں اُسے ریچھ مِل جائے، یا اَپنے گھر میں داخل ہو جائے اَور آرام فرمانے کو اَپنا ہاتھ دیوار پر ٹیکے اَور سانپ اُسے کاٹ لے۔BSBBSB: It will be like a man who flees from a lion, only to encounter a bear, or who enters his house and rests his hand against the wall, only to be bitten by a snake.
20. 20URDOUCVکیا یَاہوِہ کا دِن سخت تاریکی کا نہ ہوگا، رَوشنی کا نہیں۔ گہری تاریکی جِس میں رَوشنی کی ایک کِرن بھی نہ ہوگی؟BSBBSB: Will not the Day of the LORD be darkness and not light, even gloom with no brightness in it?
21. 21URDOUCVمَیں تمہاری عیدوں کو مکرُوہ سمجھتا ہُوں، مُجھے اُن سے نفرت ہے؛ اَور تمہارا اِجتماعات میرے لیے بدبودار ہیں۔BSBBSB: “I hate, I despise your feasts! I cannot stand the stench of your solemn assemblies.
22. 22URDOUCVاگرچہ تُم میرے لیٔے سوختنی نذریں اَور اناج کی نذریں گزرانتے ہو، لیکن مَیں اُنہیں قبُول نہیں کروں گا۔ اگر تُم بہترین سلامتی کی نذر کی قُربانیاں گزرانو، تو بھی مَیں اُن کا کویٔی لحاظ نہ کروں گا۔BSBBSB: Even though you offer Me burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them; for your peace offerings of fattened cattle I will have no regard.
23. 23URDOUCVاَپنے نغموں کی آواز مُجھ سے دُور کرو! مَیں تمہاری بربط کی آواز نہ سُنوں گا۔BSBBSB: Take away from Me the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your harps.
24. 24URDOUCVبَلکہ اِنصاف کو دریا کی مانند، اَور صداقت کو کبھی نہ سوکھنے والے چشمے کی مانند جاری رکھو!BSBBSB: But let justice roll on like a river, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.
25. 25URDOUCV”اَے بنی اِسرائیل کیا تُم چالیس بَرس تک بیابان میں میرے لیٔے قُربانیاں کرتے اَور نذریں لاتے رہے؟BSBBSB: Did you bring Me sacrifices and offerings forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israel?
26. 26URDOUCVتُم تو اَپنے بادشاہ کا مزار، اَور اَپنے بُتوں کا سُتون اَور اَپنے معبُودوں کے سِتارے کو لیٔے پھرتے تھے، جنہیں تُم نے اَپنے لیٔے بنایا تھا۔BSBBSB: You have taken along Sakkuth your king and Kaiwan your star god, the idols you made for yourselves.
27. 27URDOUCVلہٰذا مَیں تُمہیں دَمشق سے بھی آگے جَلاوطن کرکے بھیجوں گا،“ یَاہوِہ کا یہ فرمان ہے، جِن کا نام قادرمُطلق خُدا ہے۔BSBBSB: Therefore I will send you into exile beyond Damascus,” says the LORD, whose name is the God of Hosts.
