1. 1URDOUCVاَے بنی اِسرائیل، یَاہوِہ کا کلام سُنو، کیونکہ یَاہوِہ کو تمہارے خِلاف جو اِس مُلک میں رہتے ہو اِلزام لگانا ہے: ”اِس مُلک میں نہ تو وفاداری ہے نہ مَحَبّت، اَور نہ ہی خُدا شناسی ہے۔BSBBSB: Hear the word of the LORD, O children of Israel, for the LORD has a case against the people of the land: “There is no truth, no loving devotion, and no knowledge of God in the land!
2. 2URDOUCVیہاں صِرف لعنت، دروغ گوئی اَور گوشت و خُون، اَور چوری اَور زناکاری ہے؛ وہ تمام حُدوُد توڑتے ہیں، اَور خُون پر خُون ہوتاہے۔BSBBSB: Cursing and lying, murder and stealing, and adultery are rampant; one act of bloodshed follows another.
3. 3URDOUCVاِس لیٔے مُلک کی زمین سُوکھ جاتی ہے، اَور اُس کے باشِندے ناتواں ہو رہے ہیں؛ اَور زمین کے جانور اَور ہَوا کے پرندے اَور سمُندر کی مچھلیاں مَر رہی ہیں۔BSBBSB: Therefore the land mourns, and all who dwell in it will waste away with the beasts of the field and the birds of the air; even the fish of the sea disappear.
4. 4URDOUCV”لیکن کویٔی شخص اِلزام نہ لگائے، نہ کویٔی شخص دُوسرے پر تہمت لگائے، کیونکہ تمہارے لوگ اُن کی مانند ہیں جو کاہِنؔ کے خِلاف اِلزام لگاتے ہیں۔BSBBSB: But let no man contend; let no man offer reproof; for your people are like those who contend with a priest.
5. 5URDOUCVتُم دِن اَور رات کو ٹھوکر کھاتے ہو، اَور تمہارے ساتھ نبی بھی ٹھوکر کھاتے ہیں اِس لیٔے میں تیری ماں کو تباہ کروں گا۔BSBBSB: You will stumble by day, and the prophet will stumble with you by night; so I will destroy your mother—
6. 6URDOUCVمیرے لوگ علمی مَعرفت کے نہ ہونے سے تباہ ہو گئے۔ ”چونکہ تُم نے علمی مَعرفت کو ٹھکرایا، اِس لیٔے مَیں بھی تُمہیں اَپنی کہانت سے ٹھکراتا ہُوں؛ چونکہ تُم نے اَپنے خُدا کے آئین کو بھلا دیا ہے، اِس لیٔے مَیں بھی تمہاری اَولاد کو بھُول جاؤں گا۔BSBBSB: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you as My priests. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.
7. 7URDOUCVجوں جوں کاہِنوں کی تعداد بڑھتی گئی، وہ میرے خِلاف اَور بھی گُناہ کرتے گیٔے؛ اُنہُوں نے اَپنے جلالی خُدا کو محض رُسوا شَے کے مُعاوضہ میں بدل دیا۔BSBBSB: The more they multiplied, the more they sinned against Me; they exchanged their Glory for a thing of disgrace.
8. 8URDOUCVوہ میرے لوگوں کے گُناہوں پر پلتے ہیں اَور اُن کی شرارت سے لُطف اَندوز ہوتے ہیں۔BSBBSB: They feed on the sins of My people and set their hearts on iniquity.
9. 9URDOUCVپس جَیسا لوگوں کا حال وَیسا ہی کاہِنوں کا حال ہوگا، مَیں اُن دونوں کو اُن کی روِشوں کی سزا دُوں گا اَور اُنہیں اُن کے اعمال کا بدلہ دُوں گا۔BSBBSB: And it shall be like people, like priest. I will punish both of them for their ways and repay them for their deeds.
10. 10URDOUCV”وہ کھا تو لیں گے لیکن آسُودہ نہ ہوں گے؛ وہ جِسم فروشی میں لگے رہیں گے لیکن بڑھیں گے نہیں، کیونکہ اُنہُوں نے یَاہوِہ کو ترک کر دیاBSBBSB: They will eat but not be satisfied; they will be promiscuous but not multiply. For they have abandoned the LORD to give themselves
11. 11URDOUCVتاکہ اَپنے آپ کو جِسم فروشی، اَور پرانی اَور نئی مَے کے حوالہ کر سکیں، جِس سے میرے لوگوں کی دانش جاتی رہے۔BSBBSB: to promiscuity, wine, and new wine, which take away understanding.
12. 12URDOUCVوہ لکڑی کے بُت سے مشورہ لیتے ہیں اَور عصائے الٰہی سے جَواب پاتے ہیں۔ جِسم فروشی کی رُوح اُنہیں گُمراہ کرتی ہے؛ اَور وہ اَپنے خُدا بےوفائی کرتے ہیں۔BSBBSB: My people consult their wooden idols, and their divining rods inform them. For a spirit of prostitution leads them astray and they have played the harlot against their God.
13. 13URDOUCVوہ پہاڑوں کی چوٹیوں پر قُربانیاں گزرانتے ہیں اَور ٹیلوں پر اَور بلُوط، بید اَور بطم کے در درختوں کے خُوشگوار سائے میں بخُور جَلاتے ہیں۔ اِس لیٔے تمہاری بیٹیاں جِسم فروشی پر اَور تمہاری بہوئیں زنا پر اُتر آتی ہیں۔BSBBSB: They sacrifice on the mountaintops and burn offerings on the hills, under oak, poplar, and terebinth, because their shade is pleasant. And so your daughters turn to prostitution and your daughters-in-law to adultery.
14. 14URDOUCV”جَب تمہاری بیٹیاں فحاشی پر اُتر آتی ہیں تَب مَیں اُنہیں سزا نہ دُوں گا، نہ تمہاری بہوؤں کو جَب وہ زنا کر بیٹھتی ہیں، کیونکہ مَرد خُود کسبیوں کے ہمنوا ہوتے ہیں اَور دیوداسیوں کے ساتھ قُربانیاں گزرانتے ہیں۔ ناسمجھ لوگ تباہ ہو جایٔیں گے۔BSBBSB: I will not punish your daughters when they prostitute themselves, nor your daughters-in-law when they commit adultery. For the men themselves go off with prostitutes and offer sacrifices with shrine prostitutes. So a people without understanding will come to ruin.
15. 15URDOUCV”اَے بنی اِسرائیل، خواہ تُم زناکاری کرو، لیکن بنی یہُوداہؔ کو گُنہگار نہ ہونے دو۔ ”تُم گِلگالؔ کو نہ جاؤ؛ نہ ہی بیت آوِنؔ تک جاؤ۔ اَور نہ یَاہوِہ کی، ’حیات کی قَسم کھاؤ!‘BSBBSB: Though you prostitute yourself, O Israel, may Judah avoid such guilt! Do not journey to Gilgal, do not go up to Beth-aven, and do not swear on oath, ‘As surely as the LORD lives!’
16. 16URDOUCVبنی اِسرائیل ایک ضِدّی بچھیا کی مانند، ضِدّی ہیں۔ پھر یَاہوِہ اُنہیں برّوں کی مانند چراگاہ میں کیوں کر چَرائے؟BSBBSB: For Israel is as obstinate as a stubborn heifer. Can the LORD now shepherd them like lambs in an open meadow?
17. 17URDOUCVاِفرائیمؔ بُتوں سے مِل گیا؛ اُسے اکیلا چھوڑ دو!BSBBSB: Ephraim is joined to idols; leave him alone!
18. 18URDOUCVحالانکہ اُن کے جام صبوحی ہٹائے گیٔے، حالانکہ وہ مےخواری سے آسُودہ ہو چُکے ہیں۔ پھر بھی وہ اَپنی جِسم فروشی جاری رکھتے ہیں؛ اُن کے حُکمرانوں کو شرمناک روِشیں زِیادہ عزیز ہیں۔BSBBSB: When their liquor is gone, they turn to prostitution; their rulers dearly love disgrace.
19. 19URDOUCVگِردباد اُنہیں تیزی سے اُڑا لے جائے گا اَور اُن کی قُربانیاں اُنہیں رُسوا کریں گی۔BSBBSB: The whirlwind has wrapped them in its wings, and their sacrifices will bring them shame.
