1. 1URDOUCVاَے اِسرائیل مسرُور نہ ہو؛ دُوسری قوموں کی طرح شادمان نہ ہو۔ کیونکہ تُونے اَپنے خُدا سے بےوفائی کی ہے؛ تُو ہر کھلیان پر فاحِشہ کی اُجرت کو پسند کرتا ہے۔BSBBSB: Do not rejoice, O Israel, with exultation like the nations, for you have played the harlot against your God; you have made love for hire on every threshing floor.
2. 2URDOUCVکھلیان اَور مَے نچُوڑنے کے انگوری حوض لوگوں کا پیٹ نہیں بھریں گے؛ اَور نئی مَے اُنہیں دھوکا دے گی۔BSBBSB: The threshing floor and winepress will not feed them, and the new wine will fail them.
3. 3URDOUCVوہ یَاہوِہ کے مُلک میں نہ رہیں گے؛ اِفرائیمؔ مِصر کو لَوٹے گا اَور اشُور میں ناپاک غِذا کھائے گا۔BSBBSB: They will not remain in the land of the LORD; Ephraim will return to Egypt and eat unclean food in Assyria.
4. 4URDOUCVوہ یَاہوِہ کے لیٔے مَے کا تپاون نہ دیں گے، نہ ہی اُن کی قُربانیاں اُن کو مقبُول ہُوں گی۔ اَیسی قُربانیاں اُن کے لیٔے ماتم کرنے والوں کی روٹی کی مانند ہُوں گی؛ جتنے لوگ اُسے کھایٔیں گے وہ سَب ناپاک ہوں گے۔ یہ غِذا صِرف اُن ہی کے لیٔے ہوگی؛ یہ یَاہوِہ کے بیت المُقدّس میں نہ آئے گی۔BSBBSB: They will not pour out wine offerings to the LORD, and their sacrifices will not please Him, but will be to them like the bread of mourners; all who eat will be defiled. For their bread will be for themselves; it will not enter the house of the LORD.
5. 5URDOUCVاَپنی مُقرّرہ عیدوں کے موقعوں پر، اَور یَاہوِہ کے تہوار کے دِنوں میں تُم کیا کروگے؟BSBBSB: What will you do on the appointed day, on the day of the LORD’s feast?
6. 6URDOUCVخواہ وہ تباہی سے بچ بھی جایٔیں، تو بھی مِصر اُنہیں جمع کرےگا، اَور میمفِسؔ اُنہیں دفن کرےگا۔ اُن کی چاندی کے خزانے جھاڑیاں چھین لیں گی، اَور کانٹے اُن کے خیموں پر پھیل جایٔیں گے۔BSBBSB: For even if they flee destruction, Egypt will gather them and Memphis will bury them. Their precious silver will be taken over by thistles, and thorns will overrun their tents.
7. 7URDOUCVسزا کے دِن آ رہے ہیں، اَور حِساب کے دِن نزدیک ہیں۔ اِسرائیل اُسے جان لے۔ تیرے گُناہوں کی کثرت اَور تیری عداوت کی شِدّت کے باعث، نبی احمق سمجھا جاتا ہے، اَور اِلہام یافتہ اِنسان مجنوں قرار دیا جاتا ہے۔BSBBSB: The days of punishment have come; the days of retribution have arrived—let Israel know it. The prophet is called a fool, and the inspired man insane, because of the greatness of your iniquity and hostility.
8. 8URDOUCVنبی میرے خُدا سمیت، اِفرائیمؔ کا نگہبان ہے، پھر بھی اَپنی تمام راہوں میں صیّادی پھندے، اَور خُدا کے گھر میں عداوت اُس کے منتظر ہوتے ہیں۔BSBBSB: The prophet is Ephraim’s watchman, along with my God, yet the snare of the fowler lies on all his paths. Hostility is in the house of his God!
9. 9URDOUCVگِبعہؔ کے دِنوں کی طرح، وہ بداخلاقی میں غرق ہو چُکے ہیں۔ خُدا اُن کی شرارت کو یاد کرےگا اَور اُنہیں اُن کے گُناہوں کی سزا دے گا۔BSBBSB: They have deeply corrupted themselves as in the days of Gibeah; He will remember their guilt; He will punish their sins.
10. 10URDOUCVجَب مَیں نے اِسرائیل کو پایا، تو وہ گویا بیابان کے انگوروں کی مانند تھے؛ اَور جَب مَیں نے تمہارے آباؤاَجداد کو دیکھا، تو یُوں لگاکہ مَیں اَنجیر کے درخت پر پہلا پھل دیکھ رہا ہُوں۔ لیکن جَب وہ بَعل پعورؔ کے پاس آئے، تَب اَپنے آپ کو اُس شرمناک بُت کے لیٔے مخصُوص کیا اَور جِس چیز کو عزیز رکھتے تھے اُسی کی مانند حقیر بَن گیٔے۔BSBBSB: I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness. I saw your fathers as the firstfruits of the fig tree in its first season. But they went to Baal-peor, and consecrated themselves to Shame; so they became as detestable as the thing they loved.
11. 11URDOUCVاِفرائیمؔ کی شان و شوکت پرندہ کی مانند اُڑ جائے گی۔ اُن میں نہ پیدائش ہوگی، نہ حاملہ کا وُجُود ہوگا، بَلکہ قرارِ حَمل بھی موقُوف ہو جائے گا۔BSBBSB: Ephraim’s glory will fly away like a bird, with no birth, no pregnancy, and no conception.
12. 12URDOUCVاگر وہ بچّوں کی پرورش کر بڑا بھی کر لیں، تو بھی مَیں ہر ایک بشر کو چھین لُوں گا۔ جَب مَیں اُن سے دُورہو جاؤں گا تَب اُن کی حالت اَور افسوس ناک ہوگی!BSBBSB: Even if they raise their children, I will bereave them of each one. Yes, woe be to them when I turn away from them!
13. 13URDOUCVمَیں نے اِفرائیمؔ کو صُورؔ کی طرح، خُوشنما جگہ میں لگا ہُوا دیکھا۔ لیکن اِفرائیمؔ اَپنے بچّوں کو قاتل کے سامنے لے آئے گا۔BSBBSB: I have seen Ephraim, like Tyre, planted in a meadow. But Ephraim will bring out his children for slaughter.
14. 14URDOUCVاَے یَاہوِہ اُنہیں دیجئے۔ لیکن آپ اُنہیں کیا دیں گے؟ آپ اُنہیں اَیسے رحم دیں جِن میں حَمل ساقط ہو جاتے ہُوں اَور اَیسی چھاتِیاں جو خشک ہُوں۔BSBBSB: Give them, O LORD—what will You give? Give them wombs that miscarry and breasts that dry up!
15. 15URDOUCVگِلگالؔ میں اُن کی تمام شرارت کی وجہ سے، مَیں نے اُن سے وہاں نفرت کی۔ اُن کے گُناہ آلُودہ اعمال کی وجہ سے، مَیں اُنہیں اَپنے گھر سے نکال دُوں گا۔ مَیں اَب اَور اُن سے مَحَبّت نہ رکھوں گا؛ اُن کے تمام اُمرا باغی ہیں۔BSBBSB: All their evil appears at Gilgal, for there I hated them. I will drive them from My house for the wickedness of their deeds. I will no longer love them; all their leaders are rebellious.
16. 16URDOUCVاِفرائیمؔ مُرجھاگیا ہے، اُن کی جڑ سُوکھ گئی ہے، اَور اُن پر پھل نہیں آتا۔ اگر وہ بچّے جنیں بھی، تو مَیں اُن کے دُلاروں کو قتل کر دُوں گا۔BSBBSB: Ephraim is struck down; their root is withered; they cannot bear fruit. Even if they bear children, I will slay the darlings of their wombs.
17. 17URDOUCVمیرے خُدا اُنہیں ردّ کر دیں گے کیونکہ اُنہُوں نے اُن کا حُکم نہ مانا؛ وہ مُختلف قوموں کے درمیان بھٹکتے پھریں گے۔BSBBSB: My God will reject them because they have not obeyed Him; and they shall be wanderers among the nations.
