Matthew 12 (URDOUCV)

1اُس وقت سَبت کے دِن یِسوعؔ کھیتوں میں سے ہوکر جا رہے تھے۔ آپ کے شاگرد بھُوکے تھے اَور وہ بالیں توڑ توڑ کر کھانے لگے۔At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry and began to pick the heads of grain and eat them.

2جَب فریسیوں نے یہ دیکھا تو حُضُور سے کہنے لگے، ”دیکھ! تیرے شاگرد وہ کام کر رہے ہیں جو سَبت کے دِن کرنا جائز نہیں۔“When the Pharisees saw this, they said to Him, “Look, Your disciples are doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath.”

3حُضُور نے اُنہیں جَواب دیا، ”کیا تُم نے کبھی نہیں پڑھا کہ جَب حضرت داویؔد اَور اُن کے ساتھی بھُوکے تھے تو اُنہُوں نے کیا کیا؟Jesus replied, “Have you not read what David did when he and his companions were hungry?

4حضرت داویؔد خُدا کے گھر میں داخل ہویٔے اَور نذر کی روٹیاں لے کر خُود بھی کھایٔیں اَور اَپنے ساتھیوں کو بھی یہ روٹیاں کھانے کو دیں، جسے کاہِنوں کے سِوائے کسی اَور کو کھانا شَریعت کے مُطابق روا نہیں تھا۔He entered the house of God, and he and his companions ate the consecrated bread, which was not lawful for them to eat, but only for the priests.

5یا کیا تُم نے توریت میں یہ نہیں پڑھا کہ کاہِنؔ سَبت کے دِن بیت المُقدّس میں سَبت کی بےحُرمتی کرنے کے باوُجُود بے قُصُور رہتے ہیں؟Or haven’t you read in the Law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple break the Sabbath and yet are innocent?

6میں تُم سے کہتا ہُوں کہ یہاں وہ حاضِر ہے جو بیت المُقدّس سے بھی بڑا ہے۔But I tell you that One greater than the temple is here.

7اگر تُم اِن آیات کا معنی جانتے، ’میں قُربانی سے زِیادہ رحم دِلی کو پسند کرتا ہُوں،‘ تو تُم بے قُصُوروں کو قُصُوروار نہ ٹھہراتے۔If only you had known the meaning of ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the innocent.

8کیونکہ اِبن آدمؔ سَبت کا بھی مالک ہے۔“For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”

9وہاں سے روانہ ہوکر حُضُور اُن کی یہُودی عبادت گاہ میں داخل ہُوئے۔Moving on from there, Jesus entered their synagogue,

10وہاں ایک آدمی تھا جِس کا ایک ہاتھ سُوکھا ہُوا تھا۔ اُنہُوں نے یِسوعؔ پر اِلزام لگانے کے اِرادے سے یہ پُوچھا، ”کیا سَبت کے دِن شفا دینا جائز ہے؟“and a man with a withered hand was there. In order to accuse Jesus, they asked Him, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”

11حُضُور نے اُن سے فرمایا، ”اگر تُم میں سے کسی کے پاس ایک بھیڑ ہو اَور سَبت کے دِن وہ گڑھے میں گِر جائے تو کیا تُم اُسے پکڑکر باہر نہ نکالوگے؟He replied, “If one of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will he not take hold of it and lift it out?

12پس اِنسان کی قدر تو بھیڑ سے کہیں زِیادہ ہے! اِس لیٔے سَبت کے دِن نیکی کرنا روا ہے۔“How much more valuable is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”

13تَب حُضُور نے اُس آدمی سے فرمایا، ”اَپنا ہاتھ بڑھا۔“ اُس نے بڑھایا اَور وہ اُس کے دُوسرے ہاتھ کی طرح بالکُل ٹھیک ہو گیا۔Then Jesus said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out, and it was restored to full use, just like the other.

14مگر فرِیسی باہر جا کر یِسوعؔ کو ہلاک کرنے کی سازش کرنے لگے۔But the Pharisees went out and plotted how they might kill Jesus.

15جَب یِسوعؔ کو یہ مَعلُوم ہُوا تو وہ اُس جگہ سے روانہ ہویٔے۔ اَور ایک بہت بڑا ہُجوم آپ کے پیچھے چل رہاتھا اَور حُضُور نے اُن میں سے سبھی بیماریوں کو شفا بخشی۔Aware of this, Jesus withdrew from that place. Large crowds followed Him, and He healed them all,

16اَور حُضُور نے اُنہیں تاکید کی کہ اِس کے بارے میں دُوسروں سے بَیان نہ کرنا۔warning them not to make Him known.

17تاکہ یَشعیاہ نبی کی مَعرفت کہی گئی یہ بات پُوری ہو جائے:This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:

18”یہ میرا خادِم ہے جسے مَیں نے چُناہے، میرا محبُوب ہے جِس سے میرا دِل خُوش ہے؛ مَیں اَپنی رُوح اُس پر نازل کروں گا، اَور وہ غَیریہُودیوں میں اِنصاف کا اعلان کرےگا۔“Here is My Servant, whom I have chosen, My beloved, in whom My soul delights. I will put My Spirit on Him, and He will proclaim justice to the nations.

19وہ نہ تو جھگڑا کرےگا نہ شور مچایٔےگا؛ اَور راہوں میں کویٔی بھی اُس کی آواز نہ سُنے گا۔He will not quarrel or cry out; no one will hear His voice in the streets.

20وہ کُچلے ہُوئے سَرکنڈے کو نہ توڑے گا، نہ ٹمٹماتے ہُوئے دئیے کو بُجھائے گا، جَب تک کہ اِنصاف کو فتح تک نہ پہُنچا دے۔A bruised reed He will not break, and a smoldering wick He will not extinguish, till He leads justice to victory.

21اَور غَیریہُودیوں کی اُمّید اُس کے نام میں ہوگی۔“In His name the nations will put their hope.”

22تَب لوگ ایک اَندھے اَور گُونگے آدمی کو جِس میں بدرُوح تھی، یِسوعؔ کے پاس لایٔے اَور حُضُور نے اُسے اَچھّا کر دیا۔ چنانچہ وہ دیکھنے اَور بولنے لگا۔Then a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute was brought to Jesus, and He healed the man so that he could speak and see.

23اَور سَب لوگ حیران ہوکر کہنے لگے، ”کہیں یہ اِبن داویؔد تو نہیں ہیں؟“The crowds were astounded and asked, “Could this be the Son of David?”

24لیکن جَب فریسیوں نے یہ بات سُنی تو کہا، ”یہ بدرُوحوں کے رہنما بَعل زبُول کی مدد سے بدرُوحوں کو نکالتا ہے۔“But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, “Only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, does this man drive out demons.”

25یِسوعؔ نے اُن کے خیالات جان کر اُن سے فرمایا، ”اگر کسی سلطنت میں پھوٹ پڑ جائے تو وہ مِٹ جاتی ہے، اَور جِس شہر یا گھر میں پھوٹ پڑ جائے تو وہ بھی قائِم نہیں رہے گا۔Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.

26اگر شیطان ہی شیطان کو باہر نکالنے لگے تو وہ آپ ہی اَپنا مُخالف ہو جائے گا، پھر اُس کی سلطنت کیسے قائِم رہ سکتی ہے؟If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand?

27اگر مَیں بَعل زبُول کی مدد سے بدرُوحوں کو نکالتا ہُوں تو تمہارے شاگرد اُنہیں کِس کی مدد سے نکالتے ہیں؟ پس وُہی تمہارے مُنصِف ہوں گے۔And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons drive them out? So then, they will be your judges.

28لیکن اگر مَیں خُدا کے رُوح کی مدد سے بدرُوحوں کو نکالتا ہُوں تو خُدا کی بادشاہی تمہارے درمیان آ پہُنچی۔But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

29”یا کیسے، یہ ممکن ہو سَکتا ہے کہ کویٔی کسی زورآور شخص کے گھر میں گھُس کر اُس کا مال و اَسباب لُوٹ لے؟ جَب تک کہ پہلے اُس زورآور شخص کو باندھ نہ لے؟ تبھی وہ اُس کا گھر لُوٹ سَکتا ہے۔Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man’s house and steal his possessions, unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder his house.

30”جو میرے ساتھ نہیں وہ میرا مُخالف ہے اَورجو میرے ساتھ جمع نہیں کرتا، وہ بکھیرتا ہے۔He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters.

31اِس لیٔے میں تُم سے کہتا ہُوں کہ آدمیوں کا ہر گُناہ اَور کُفر تو مُعاف کیا جائے گا لیکن جو پاک رُوح کے خِلاف کُفر بکے گا وہ ہرگز نہ بخشا جائے گا۔Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.

32جو کویٔی اِبن آدمؔ کے خِلاف کُچھ کہے گا تو اُسے مُعاف کر دیا جائے گا لیکن جو پاک رُوح کے خِلاف کُفر بکے گا تو اُسے نہ تو اِس دُنیا میں اَور نہ آنے والی دُنیا میں بخشا جائے گا۔Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the one to come.

33”اگر درخت اَچھّا ہے تو اُس کا پھل بھی اَچھّا ہی ہوگا اَور اگر درخت اَچھّا نہیں ہوگا تو اُس کا پھل بھی اَچھّا نہیں ہوگا، کیونکہ درخت اَپنے پھل سے پہچانا جاتا ہے۔Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is known by its fruit.

34اَے زہریلے سانپ کے بچّو! تُم بُرے ہوکر کویٔی اَچھّی بات کیسے کہہ سکتے ہو؟ کیونکہ جو دِل میں بھرا ہوتاہے وُہی زبان پر آتا ہے۔You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.

35اَچھّا آدمی اَپنے اَندر کے اَچھّے خزانہ سے اَچھّی چیزیں باہر نکالتا ہے اَور بُرا آدمی اَپنے اَندر کے بُرے خزانہ سے بُری چیزیں باہر لاتا ہے۔The good man brings good things out of his good store of treasure, and the evil man brings evil things out of his evil store of treasure.

36لہٰذا میں تُم سے کہتا ہُوں کہ اِنصاف کے دِن لوگوں کو اَپنی کہی ہویٔی ہر بے فُضول باتوں کا حِساب دینا ہوگا۔But I tell you that men will give an account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken.

37کیونکہ تُم اَپنی باتوں کے باعث راستباز یا قُصُوروار ٹھہرائے جاؤگے۔“For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

38تَب بعض فرِیسی اَور شَریعت کے عُلما نے کہا، ”اَے اُستاد محترم! ہم آپ سے کویٔی الٰہی نِشان دیکھنا چاہتے ہیں۔“Then some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Him, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.”

39لیکن حُضُور نے جَواب دیا، ”اِس زمانہ کے بدکار اَور زناکار لوگ نِشان دیکھنا چاہتے ہیں! مگر اُنہیں حضرت يونسؔ نبی کے نِشان کے سِوا کویٔی اَور الٰہی نِشان نہ دیا جائے گا۔Jesus replied, “A wicked and adulterous generation demands a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.

40کیونکہ جِس طرح حضرت يونسؔ تین دِن اَور تین رات بھاری بھر کم مچھلی کے پیٹ میں رہے، اُسی طرح اِبن آدمؔ بھی تین دِن اَور تین رات زمین کے اَندر رہے گا۔For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

41نینوہؔ کے لوگ عدالت کے دِن اِس زمانہ کے لوگوں کے ساتھ کھڑے ہوکر اُنہیں مُجرم ٹھہرائیں گے، اِس لیٔے کہ اُنہُوں نے حضرت يونسؔ کی مُنادی کی وجہ سے تَوبہ کرلی تھی اَور دیکھو! یہاں وہ مَوجُود ہے جو يونسؔ سے بھی بڑا ہے۔The men of Nineveh will stand at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now One greater than Jonah is here.

42جُنوب کی ملِکہ عدالت کے دِن اِس زمانہ کے لوگوں کے ساتھ کھڑی ہوکر اُنہیں مُجرم ٹھہرائے گی کیونکہ وہ بڑی دُور سے حضرت شُلومونؔ کی حِکمت سُننے کے لیٔے آئی تھی اَور دیکھو یہاں حضرت شُلومونؔ سے بھی بڑا مَوجُود ہے۔The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and now One greater than Solomon is here.

43”جَب کسی آدمی میں سے بدرُوح نکل جاتی ہے تو وہ سُوکھنے مقاموں میں جا کر آرام ڈھونڈتی ہے اَور جَب نہیں پاتی۔When an unclean spirit comes out of a man, it passes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it.

44تو کہتی ہے، ’میں اَپنے اُسی گھر میں پھر واپس چلی جاؤں گی جہاں سے میں نکلی تھی۔‘ اَور واپس آکر اُسے صَاف سُتھرا اَور آراستہ پاتی ہے۔Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ On its return, it finds the house vacant, swept clean, and put in order.

45تَب وہ جا کر اَپنے سے بھی بدتر اَپنے ساتھ سات اَور بدرُوحوں کو ساتھ لے آتی ہے اَور وہ اَندر جا کر اُس میں رہنے لگتی ہیں۔ اَور اُس آدمی کی آخِری حالت پہلے سے بھی زِیادہ بُری ہو جاتی ہے۔ اِس زمانے کے بُرے لوگوں کا حال بھی اَیسا ہی ہوگا۔“Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and dwell there. And the final plight of that man is worse than the first. So will it be with this wicked generation.”

46یِسوعؔ ہُجوم سے ابھی بات کر ہی رہے تھے کہ حُضُور کی ماں اَور اُن کے بھایٔی اُن سے مُلاقات کرنے کے لیٔے وہاں پہُنچے اَور باہر کھڑے ہُوئے تھے۔While Jesus was still speaking to the crowds, His mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to Him.

47کسی نے حُضُور کو خبر دی کہ دیکھئے، ”آپ کی ماں اَور آپ کے بھایٔی باہر کھڑے ہیں اَور آپ سے مُلاقات کرنا چاہتے ہیں۔“Someone told Him, “Look, Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to You.”

48حُضُور نے خبر لانے والے سے فرمایا، ”کون ہے میری ماں اَور کون ہیں میرا بھایٔی؟“But Jesus replied, “Who is My mother, and who are My brothers?”

49تَب حُضُور نے اَپنے شاگردوں کی طرف اِشارہ کرکے فرمایا، ”دیکھو! یہ میری ماں اَور میرے بھایٔی ہیں۔Pointing to His disciples, He said, “Here are My mother and My brothers.

50کیونکہ جو کویٔی میرے آسمانی باپ کی مرضی پر چلے وُہی میرا بھایٔی، میری بہن اَور میری ماں ہے۔“For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”
