1اَپنی یہ باتیں ختم کر چُکنے کے بعد یِسوعؔ صُوبہ گلِیل سے روانہ ہوکر دریائے یردنؔ کے پار یہُودیؔہ کے علاقہ میں گیٔےWhen Jesus had finished saying these things, He left Galilee and went into the region of Judea beyond the Jordan.

2اَور بڑا ہُجوم آپ کے پیچھے ہو لیا اَور آپ نے اُنہیں شفا بخشی۔Large crowds followed Him, and He healed them there.

3بعض فرِیسی یِسوعؔ کو آزمانے کے لیٔے اُن کے پاس آئے اَور کہنے لگے، ”کیا ہر ایک سبب سے اَپنی بیوی کو طلاق دینا جائز ہے؟“Then some Pharisees came and tested Him by asking, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason?”

4حُضُور نے جَواب دیا، ”کیا تُم نے نہیں پڑھا کہ جِس نے اُنہیں بنایا، تخلیق کی شروعات ہی سے اُنہیں ’مَرد اَور عورت بنا کر فرمایا،‘Jesus answered, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’

5اِس سبب سے ’مَرد اَپنے باپ اَور ماں سے جُدا ہوکر اَپنی بیوی کے ساتھ مِلا رہے گا، اَور وہ دونوں ایک جِسم ہوں گے؟‘and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’?

6چنانچہ وہ اَب دو نہیں، بَلکہ ایک جِسم ہیں۔ پس جنہیں خُدا نے جوڑا ہے، اُنہیں کویٔی اِنسان جُدا نہ کرے۔“So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”

7فریسیوں نے حُضُور سے پُوچھا، ”پھر حضرت مَوشہ نے اَپنی شَریعت میں یہ حُکم کیوں دیا کہ طلاق نامہ لِکھ کر اُسے چھوڑ دیا جائے؟““Why then,” they asked, “did Moses order a man to give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?”

8یِسوعؔ نے اُن کو جَواب دیا، ”حضرت مَوشہ نے تمہاری سخت دِلی کی وجہ سے اَپنی بیویوں کو چھوڑدینے کی اِجازت دی تھی لیکن اِبتدا سے اَیسا نہ تھا۔Jesus replied, “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because of your hardness of heart. But it was not this way from the beginning.

9لیکن مَیں تُم سے کہتا ہُوں کہ جو کویٔی اَپنی بیوی کو اُس کی جنسی بدفعلی کے سِوا کسی اَور سبب سے چھوڑ دیتاہے، اَور کسی دُوسری عورت سے شادی کر لیتا ہے تو زنا کرتا ہے۔“Now I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.”

10شاگردوں نے حُضُور سے کہا، ”اگر شوہر اَور بیوی کے رشتہ کا یہ حال ہے تو بہتر ہے کہ شادی کی ہی نہ جائے۔“His disciples said to Him, “If this is the case between a man and his wife, it is better not to marry.”

11یِسوعؔ نے اُنہیں جَواب دیا، ”سَب اِس بات کو قبُول نہیں کر سکتے ہیں۔ اَیسا وُہی کر سکتے ہیں جنہیں یہ قُدرت مِلی ہو۔“Not everyone can accept this word,” He replied, “but only those to whom it has been given.

12کیونکہ بعض خوجہ تو پیدائشی ہیں، لیکن بعض خوجے اَیسے ہیں جنہیں اِنسانوں نے بنایا ہے اَور بعض اَیسے بھی ہیں جو آسمان کی بادشاہی کی خاطِر خُود کو خوجوں کی مانِند بنا دیا ہے۔ جو کویٔی اِسے قبُول کر سَکتا ہے، تو قبُول کرے۔“For there are eunuchs who were born that way; others were made that way by men; and still others live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it.”

13اُس کے بعد لوگ بچّوں کو یِسوعؔ کے پاس لایٔے تاکہ حُضُور اُن پر ہاتھ رکھیں اَور اُنہیں دعا دیں۔ لیکن شاگردوں نے اُنہیں جِھڑک دیا۔Then little children were brought to Jesus for Him to place His hands on them and pray for them. And the disciples rebuked those who brought them.

14لیکن یِسوعؔ نے فرمایا، ”بچّوں کو میرے پاس آنے سے مت روکو کیونکہ آسمان کی بادشاہی اَیسوں ہی کی ہے۔“But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them! For the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

15تَب حُضُور نے اُن پر اَپنا ہاتھ رکھا اَور پھر وہاں سے چلے گیٔے۔And after He had placed His hands on them, He went on from there.

16اَور ایک آدمی یِسوعؔ کے پاس آیا اَور پُوچھنے لگا، ”اَے اُستاد محترم! میں کون سِی نیکی کروں کہ اَبدی کی زندگی حاصل کرلُوں؟“Just then a man came up to Jesus and inquired, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to obtain eternal life?”

17یِسوعؔ نے اُسے جَواب دیا، ”تُم مُجھ سے نیکی کے بارے میں کیوں پُوچھتے ہو؟ نیک تو صِرف ایک ہی ہے۔ لیکن اگر تُو زندگی میں داخل ہونا چاہتاہے تو حُکموں پر عَمل کر۔““Why do you ask Me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.”

18اُس نے پُوچھا، ”کون سے حُکموں پر؟“ یِسوعؔ نے جَواب دیا، ” ’یہ کہ خُون نہ کرنا، زنا نہ کرنا، چوری نہ کرنا، جھُوٹی گواہی نہ دینا،“Which ones?” the man asked. Jesus answered, “‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false witness,

19اَپنے باپ یا ماں کی عزّت کرنا،‘ اَور ’اَپنے پڑوسی سے اَپنی مانِند مَحَبّت رکھنا۔‘“honor your father and mother, and love your neighbor as yourself.’”

20اُس نوجوان نے آپ کو جَواب دیا، ”اِن سَب حُکموں پر تو میں عَمل کرتا آیا ہُوں، اَب مُجھ میں کِس چیز کی کمی ہے؟““All these I have kept,” said the young man. “What do I still lack?”

21یِسوعؔ نے جَواب دیا، ”اگر تُو کامل ہونا چاہتاہے تو جا، اَپنا سَب کُچھ بیچ کر غریبوں کی مدد کر تو تُجھے آسمان میں خزانہ ملے گا اَور آکر میرے پیچھے ہولے۔“Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.”

22مگر جَب اُس نوجوان نے یہ بات سُنی، تو وہ غمگین ہوکر چلا گیا کیونکہ وہ بہت دولتمند تھا۔When the young man heard this, he went away in sorrow, because he had great wealth.

23تَب یِسوعؔ نے اَپنے شاگردوں سے فرمایا، ”میں تُم سے سچ کہتا ہُوں کہ دولتمند کا آسمان کی بادشاہی میں داخل ہونا مُشکل ہے۔Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.

24مَیں پھر کہتا ہُوں کہ اُونٹ کا سوئی کے ناکے میں سے گزر جانا کسی دولتمند کے خُدا کی بادشاہی میں داخل ہونے سے زِیادہ آسان ہے۔“Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

25جَب شاگردوں نے یہ بات سُنی تو نہایت حیران ہُوئے اَور یِسوعؔ سے پُوچھا، ”پھر کون نَجات پا سَکتا ہے؟“When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?”

26یِسوعؔ نے اُن کی طرف دیکھ کر فرمایا، ”یہ اِنسانوں کے لیٔے تو ناممکن ہے، لیکن خُدا کے لیٔے سَب کُچھ ممکن ہے۔“Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

27تَب پطرس نے حُضُور سے کہا، ”دیکھئے ہم تو سَب کُچھ چھوڑکر آپ کے پیچھے چلے آئے ہیں! تو ہمیں کیا ملے گا؟““Look,” Peter replied, “we have left everything to follow You. What then will there be for us?”

28یِسوعؔ نے اُنہیں جَواب دیا، ”میں تُم سے سچ کہتا ہُوں کہ نئی تخلیق میں جَب اِبن آدمؔ اَپنے جلالی تخت پر بیٹھے گا تو تُم بھی جو میرے پیچھے چلے آئے ہو بَارہ تختوں پر بیٹھ کر، اِسرائیلؔ کے بَارہ قبیلوں کا اِنصاف کروگے۔Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, in the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on His glorious throne, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

29اَور جِس کسی نے میری خاطِر گھروں یا بھائیوں یا بہنوں یا ماں یا باپ یا بیوی یا بچّوں یا کھیتوں کو چھوڑ دیا ہے وہ اِن سے سَو گُنا پایٔےگا اَور اَبدی زندگی کا وارِث ہوگا۔And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for the sake of My name will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life.

30لیکن بہت سے جو اوّل ہیں آخِر ہو جایٔیں گے اَورجو آخِر ہیں، وہ اوّل۔“But many who are first will be last, and the last will be first.
