1. 1URDOUCVداریاویشؔ بادشاہ کی حُکومت کے چوتھے سال کے نویں مہینے، یعنی کہ کِسلیو مہینے کی چوتھی تاریخ کو یَاہوِہ کا یہ کلام زکریاؔہ پر نازل ہُوا۔BSBBSB: In the fourth year of King Darius, the word of the LORD came to Zechariah on the fourth day of the ninth month, the month of Chislev.
2. 2URDOUCVبیت ایل کے باشِندوں نے شاریضرؔ اَور رِگیمؔ ملِکؔ اَور اُن کے ساتھیوں کو یَاہوِہ سے درخواست کریں۔BSBBSB: Now the people of Bethel had sent Sharezer and Regem-melech, along with their men, to plead before the LORD
3. 3URDOUCVاَور قادرمُطلق یَاہوِہ کے گھر کے کاہِنوں اَور نبیوں سے پُوچھیں، ”کیا ہم پانچویں مہینے میں ماتم کریں اَور روزہ رکھیں کہ نہیں، جَیسا کہ ہم کیٔی سالوں سے کرتے آ رہے ہیں؟“BSBBSB: by asking the priests of the house of the LORD of Hosts, as well as the prophets, “Should I weep and fast in the fifth month, as I have done these many years?”
4. 4URDOUCVتَب قادرمُطلق یَاہوِہ کا کلام مُجھ پر نازل ہُوا:BSBBSB: Then the word of the LORD of Hosts came to me, saying,
5. 5URDOUCV”مُلک کے سَب لوگوں اَور کاہِنوں سے پُوچھو، ’جَب تُم نے پانچویں اَور ساتویں مہینے میں گُزرے ستّر برسوں تک روزہ رکھا اَور ماتم کیا تو کیا حقیقت میں تُم نے میرے ہی لیٔے روزہ رکھا تھا؟BSBBSB: “Ask all the people of the land and the priests, ‘When you fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh months for these seventy years, was it really for Me that you fasted?
6. 6URDOUCVاَور جَب تُم کھاتے اَور پیتے تھے تو کیا تُم یہ سَب اَپنے ہی لئے نہیں کرتے تھے؟BSBBSB: And when you were eating and drinking, were you not doing so simply for yourselves?
7. 7URDOUCVکیا یہ وُہی کلام نہیں جو یَاہوِہ نے گذشتہ نبیوں کی مَعرفت فرمایا تھا جَب یروشلیمؔ اَور گِردونواح کے شہر پُراَمن اَور خُوشحال تھے اَور جُنوب کی سرزمین اَور نِیگیوؔ کی پہاڑیاں آباد تھیں؟‘ “BSBBSB: Are these not the words that the LORD proclaimed through the earlier prophets, when Jerusalem and its surrounding towns were populous and prosperous, and the Negev and the foothills were inhabited?’”
8. 8URDOUCVتَب یَاہوِہ کا کلام پھر زکریاؔہ پر نازل ہُوا:BSBBSB: Then the word of the LORD came to Zechariah, saying,
9. 9URDOUCV”قادرمُطلق یَاہوِہ یُوں فرماتے ہیں، ’راستی سے عدالت کرو اَور ہر شخص دُوسرے شخص پر رحم و کرم کیا کرے۔BSBBSB: “This is what the LORD of Hosts says: ‘Administer true justice. Show loving devotion and compassion to one another.
10. 10URDOUCVبیواؤں اَور یتیموں، پردیسوں اَور مسکینوں پر ظُلم نہ کرو۔ ایک دُوسرے کے خِلاف اَپنے دِل میں بُرا منصُوبہ نہ باندھو۔‘BSBBSB: Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the foreigner or the poor. And do not plot evil in your hearts against one another.’
11. 11URDOUCV”لیکن اُنہُوں نے اِن باتوں پر کچھ غور نہیں کیا بَلکہ گردن کشی کرکے اَپنے کانوں کو بند کر لیا۔BSBBSB: But they refused to pay attention and turned a stubborn shoulder; they stopped up their ears from hearing.
12. 12URDOUCVاُنہُوں نے اَپنے دِلوں کو سنگِ ہیرا کی مانند سخت کر لیا تاکہ شَریعت کی باتیں یا کلام کو نہ سُنیں جسے یَاہوِہ نے گذشتہ نبیوں پر اَپنی رُوح کی مَعرفت نازل کیا تھا۔ اِس لیٔے قادرمُطلق یَاہوِہ سخت ناراض ہُوئے۔BSBBSB: They made their hearts like flint and would not listen to the law or to the words that the LORD of Hosts had sent by His Spirit through the earlier prophets. Therefore great anger came from the LORD of Hosts.
13. 13URDOUCV” ’جَب مَیں نے پُکارا تو اُنہُوں نے نہیں سُنا، اِس لیٔے جَب وہ پُکاریں گے تو مَیں بھی نہیں سُنوں گا،‘ قادرمُطلق یَاہوِہ فرماتے ہیں۔BSBBSB: And just as I had called and they would not listen, so when they called I would not listen, says the LORD of Hosts.
14. 14URDOUCV’مَیں نے اُنہیں ہَوا کے بگولوں کے ساتھ ساری قوموں میں جِن کے درمیان وہ پردیسی تھے اُنہیں پراگندہ کر دیا۔ اُن کے بعد مُلک اَیسا ویران ہُوا کہ کسی نے وہاں آمدورفت نہ کی۔ کیونکہ اُنہُوں نے دلکش مُلک کو ویران کر دیا۔‘ “BSBBSB: But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations that they had not known, and the land was left desolate behind them so that no one could come or go. Thus they turned the pleasant land into a desolation.”
