1. 1UTRUngwɔ ndzɛ mi owita-wita, ngwi eyi fwon, yɛ din mi inɛ mgbi eyi, di kyidin, ngwi abɔ mgbi eyi kpaa gbon ma, li Elodzɛ Oshishe ongwu eyi le tso odzan aani.BSBBSB: That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our own eyes, which we have gazed upon and touched with our own hands—this is the Word of life.
2. 2UTROshishe na tsotɔ; eyi dun di kyɔ obwɛndɛ ikyon, eyi di gbɔdzɛ oshishe igyegwu nya ema, ongwu nteyi dzɛ yi Otsɔn di kye ewon tsotɔ mbi eyi nani.BSBBSB: And this is the life that was revealed; we have seen it and testified to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us.
3. 3UTREyi gbɔ nya ema ungwɔ ngwi eyi teyi di diyɛ fwo, ikyegbɛɛ ni ema kpaa kwakye yi eyi. Ma okwakye mgbi eyi li okwakye yi Otseyi Imgbasho bɛyi Ongwan iYesu iKrestu.BSBBSB: We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And this fellowship of ours is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.
4. 4UTREyi lɔ ungwɔnɛ ikye onu atsa mgbi eyi mbwumbwo.BSBBSB: We write these things so that our joy may be complete.
5. 5UTRNɛnɛ li esɔ ngwi eyi fwo mbon di gbɔ nya ema mani gbɛɛ: Imgbasho li osa; mbon iifu dzɛma ba dududu.BSBBSB: And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you: God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
6. 6UTRNi eyi kye gbɛɛ eyi dzɛ mi okwakye yan kpaa le kyikyɛ mi iifu yɔ, eyi mwonya dile kyɔ mi otsitsi ba.BSBBSB: If we say we have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
7. 7UTRKpaa ni eyi kyikyɛ mi osa dafi ongwu dzɛ mi osa nɛ yɔ, eyi dzɛ mi okwakye yi eka, eyi mgbi iYesu Ongwan, di kyi salu eyi saan mi ali ibwubwe mgbi eyi duu.BSBBSB: But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
8. 8UTRNi eyi gbɛɛ di eyi kyɔ alobube bayɔ, eyi kpagya eweyi wo, otsitsi na di dzɛ mbi eyi ba.BSBBSB: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9. 9UTRKini eyi fwi ali ibwubwe mgbi eyi nya Imgbasho yɔ, o ka mbwo ondu odzɛɛdzɛ mgban di kyɔ mi efu, o ka dzita eyi di kyi salu eyi saan mi ali ibwubwe mgbi eyi duu.BSBBSB: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10. 10UTRKini eyi gbɛɛ eyi kyɔ alobube bayɔ, eyi nu Imgbasho yɛɛ ongye omwonya, elodzɛ mgban kpaa gyutɔ mi oshishe mbi eyi ba.BSBBSB: If we say we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word is not in us.
