8Nakalonga ahyo kwa vila Yesu nayali yamlonjele, “Chijeni chihile yamlawe munhu ayo.”For Jesus had already declared, “Come out of this man, you unclean spirit!”

9Yesu nakamuuza, “Itagwa lyako whaani?” Na heye nakedichila, “Itagwa lyangu chilundo cha wamizi, mina hetwe twa wenji.”“What is your name?” Jesus asked. “My name is Legion,” he replied, “for we are many.”

16Awala wanhu vyowagawene gala gogalawile kwa munhu yawele na chijeni na ajila migubi,Those who had seen it described what had happened to the demon-possessed man and also to the pigs.

17nawamlonjela Yesu yoche kuli isi ya hewo.And the people began to beg Jesus to leave their region.

18Yesu navyoyali yokwinjila kuli itumbwi, yula munhu yosigwe vijeni nakamlanda yamkundize kulutasa.As He was getting into the boat, the man who had been possessed by the demons begged to go with Him.

19Yesu nakalema, nakamlonjela, “Ulute kaye kwako, kawalonjele wang'holozo mbuli zeng'ha ziwele Mkulu zoyakuditile na vyoyakonele isungu.”But Jesus would not allow him. “Go home to your own people,” He said, “and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and what mercy He has shown you.”

23Nayali yolonga yolanda, “Mhinza wa heni mdodo kangutamika behi kubagama. Dedede ndangulanda tuche kaye ukamuwichile moko yaloholigwe yawe mkomu.”and pleaded with Him urgently, “My little daughter is near death. Please come and place Your hands on her, so that she will be healed and live.”

24Yesu nakoka hamwe na Jailo. Wanhu wenji nawamuwinza na kumema chila ubanzi.So Jesus went with him, and a large crowd followed and pressed around Him.

25Nakwali na mdala, nayali na utamwa kwa kulawa danda miyaka kumi na mili.And a woman was there who had suffered from bleeding for twelve years.

28Nakadita ahyo, mina nayali yolonga yaliyeka, “Wone ndibate nguwo ya heye, ndowa mkomu.”For she kept saying, “If only I touch His garments, I will be healed.”

29Nakebata nguwo ya Yesu, na danda yoyali ilawa bahala du nakona naileka kulawa. Na heye nakehulika mlukuli lwake kawa mkomu.Immediately her bleeding stopped, and she sensed in her body that she was healed of her affliction.

30Yesu nakavizela, nakona mong'ho wa heye uwa udo, nakahinduka nakauza, nakalonga, “Whaani yebate nguwo ya heni?”At once Jesus was aware that power had gone out from Him. Turning to the crowd, He asked, “Who touched My garments?”

31Walanguswa nawamwidichila, nawalonga, “Ulole wanhu vyowamemile, lekachoni kwanguuza whaani yakibate?”His disciples answered, “You can see the crowd pressing in on You, and yet You ask, ‘Who touched Me?’”

32Ila Yesu nakalutilila kulola yamone ayo yaditile hino.But He kept looking around to see who had done this.

33Aho yula mdala yavizelele choni nachimlawile, nakaluta yokakama kuno yodumba, nakafugamila mmagulu ga Yesu, nakamlonjela yokomya gose galawile.Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him trembling in fear, and she told Him the whole truth.

34Yesu nakamlonjela, “Mhinza, makundo ga hegwe gakulohola. Ulute goya, uwe mkomu ulawe ng'hatu utamwa wa hegwe.”“Daughter,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be free of your affliction.”

Uleche kumtunya mlangusa.”While He was still speaking, messengers from the house of Jairus arrived and said, “Your daughter is dead; why bother the Teacher anymore?”

39Yesu nakenjila mng'handa nakawalonjela wanhu, “Lekachoni mwangupunganika? Lekachoni mwangulila? Mwana habagame kawasa hela.”He went inside and asked, “Why all this commotion and weeping? The child is not dead, but asleep.”

40Wanhu nawamseka Yesu, ahyo nakawalavya wose kunze, nakawahola mhaza na mayake mhinza yula, na wala walanguswa wa heye wadatu, nawenjila kuchihengo kowawichile lukuli lwa mhinza.And they laughed at Him. After He had put them all outside, He took the child’s father and mother and His own companions, and went in to see the child.

41Yesu nakamibata moko, nakamlonjela ayula mhinza yabagame nakalonga, “Talita, kumi,” Mina, “Muhinza ndangukulonjela, ulilimche!”Taking her by the hand, Jesus said, “Talitha koum!” which means, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”

42Baho mhinza nakalilimka, nakaluka kujendajenda, nayali na miyaka kumi na mili, aga logalawile, wanhu weng'ha nawekala wabubuwale lukami.Immediately the girl got up and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). And at once they were utterly astounded.

43Yesu nakawalemeza wanhu waleche kumlonjela munhu. Hamba nakawalonjela wamgalile chilyo ayula mhinza yalilimche yalye.Then Jesus gave strict orders that no one should know about this, and He told them to give her something to eat.
