1 ULB Ấy vậy, các công việc mà Sa-lô-môn làm cho đền của Đức Giê-hô-va đã xong rồi. Sa-lô-môn đem đến những vật mà Đa-vít, cha người, đã dâng hiến, gồm có bạc, vàng, và các trang thiết bị, để vào kho của đền Đức Chúa Trời. BSB BSB: So all the work that Solomon had performed for the house of the LORD was completed. Then Solomon brought in the items his father David had dedicated—the silver, the gold, and all the furnishings—and he placed them in the treasuries of the house of God.
2 ULB Khi ấy Sa-lô-môn tập trung tại Giê-ru-sa-lem các trưởng lão Y-sơ-ra-ên, các trưởng của các chi phái, và các trưởng tộc dân Y-sơ-ra-ên, đặng rước hòm giao ước của Đức Giê-hô-va từ thành Đa-vít, nghĩa là Si-ôn. 6 ULB Vua Sa-lô-môn và cả hội chúng Y-sơ-ra-ên đã nhóm lại trước hòm, dâng những chiên và bò làm của lễ, nhiều vô số không thể đếm được. BSB BSB: There, before the ark, King Solomon and the whole congregation of Israel who had assembled with him sacrificed so many sheep and oxen that they could not be counted or numbered.
7 ULB Những thầy tế lễ đem hòm giao ước của Đức Giê-hô-va vào đúng vị trí của nó, vào phòng trong của đền, tức nơi chí thánh, dưới mấy cánh của chê-ru-bin. BSB BSB: Then the priests brought the ark of the covenant of the LORD to its place in the inner sanctuary of the temple, the Most Holy Place, beneath the wings of the cherubim.
8 ULB Hai chê-ru-bin xòe cánh ra trên chỗ hòm, chúng che hòm và các đòn khiêng. BSB BSB: For the cherubim spread their wings over the place of the ark and overshadowed the ark and its poles.
9 ULB Đòn khiêng thì dài đến nỗi hai đầu của chúng được thấy ló ra từ nơi thánh, trước phòng trong, nhưng ở ngoài đền thì chẳng thấy; hòm vẫn ở đó cho đến ngày nay. BSB BSB: The poles of the ark extended far enough that their ends were visible from in front of the inner sanctuary, but not from outside the Holy Place; and they are there to this day.
10 ULB Chẳng có gì trong hòm, trừ ra hai bảng luật pháp mà Môi-se đã để vào tại Hô-rếp, khi Đức Giê-hô-va lập giao ước với dân Y-sơ-ra-ên, lúc họ ra khỏi xứ Ê-díp-tô. BSB BSB: There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets that Moses had placed in it at Horeb, where the LORD had made a covenant with the Israelites after they had come out of Egypt.
11 ULB Khi những thầy tế lễ ra khỏi nơi thánh. Hết thảy các thầy tế lễ nào có mặt đều đã dọn mình ra thánh sạch cho Đức Giê-hô-va, họ nhóm lại theo ban bệ của mình, BSB BSB: Now all the priests who were present had consecrated themselves regardless of their divisions. 12 ULB và các người ca hát trong dân Lê-vi, hết thảy họ, gồm có A-sáp, Hê-nan, Giê-đu-thun, cùng con trai và anh em họ, họ mặc quần áo bằng vải gai mịn, cầm chập chỏa, đàn sắt, và đàn cầm, đều đứng ở đầu phía đông của bàn thờ. Với một trăm hai mươi thầy tế lễ thổi kèn. BSB BSB: all the Levitical singers—Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun, and their sons and relatives—stood on the east side of the altar, dressed in fine linen and playing cymbals, harps, and lyres, accompanied by 120 priests sounding trumpets.
13 ULB Khi kẻ thổi kèn và kẻ ca hát hoà thanh như một người, mà khen ngợi cảm tạ Đức Giê-hô-va. Họ trổi tiếng mình lên cùng với tiếng kèn, chập chỏa, nhạc khí lên khen ngợi Đức Giê-hô-va. Họ hát: “Vì Ngài từ thiện, lòng thành tín giao ước Ngài hằng có đời đời”. Khi ấy thì đền, nhà của Đức Giê-hô-va, bị mây lấp đầy; BSB BSB: The trumpeters and singers joined together to praise and thank the LORD with one voice. They lifted up their voices, accompanied by trumpets, cymbals, and musical instruments, in praise to the LORD: “For He is good; His loving devotion endures forever.” And the temple, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud
14 ULB Dòng thầy tế lễ vì cớ mây không thể đứng đó phục vụ, vì sự vinh hiển của Đức Giê-hô-va đầy dẫy đền Ngài. BSB BSB: so that the priests could not stand there to minister because of the cloud. For the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.
