Numbers 1 (ULB)

1Đức Giê-hô-va phán cùng Môi-se trong lều hội họp ở hoang mạc Si-nai vào ngày đầu tiên của tháng thứ nhì trong năm thứ hai sau khi dân Y-sơ-ra-ên đã ra khỏi xứ Ai Cập. Đức Giê-hô-va phán,On the first day of the second month of the second year after the Israelites had come out of the land of Egypt, the LORD spoke to Moses in the Tent of Meeting in the Wilderness of Sinai. He said:

2“Hãy thực hiện một cuộc điều tra dân số tất cả những người nam Y-sơ-ra-ên theo từng thị tộc, gia tộc của họ. Hãy thống kê theo tên. Thống kê từng người nam, mỗi người“Take a census of the whole congregation of Israel by their clans and families, listing every man by name, one by one.

3từ hai mươi tuổi trở lên. Hãy tính tất cả những ai có thể chiến đấu cho Y-sơ-ra-ên. Ngươi và A-rôn hãy ghi lại số người nam theo từng đơn vị vũ trang.You and Aaron are to number those who are twenty years of age or older by their divisions—everyone who can serve in Israel’s army.

4Mỗi chi phái có một người nam làm tộc trưởng, người phải phục vụ cùng ngươi với tư cách là trưởng chi phái. Mỗi trưởng chi phái sẽ lãnh đạo nhóm chiến đấu cho chi phái của mình.And one man from each tribe, the head of each family, must be there with you.

5Đây là danh sách các trưởng chi phái sẽ chiến đấu cùng ngươi: Chi phái Ru-bên, Ê-lít-su con trai Sê-đêu;These are the names of the men who are to assist you: From the tribe of Reuben, Elizur son of Shedeur;

6chi phái Si-mê-ôn, Sê-lu-mi-ên con trai Xu-ri-ha-đai;from Simeon, Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai;

7chi phái Giu-đa, Na-ha-sôn con trai A-mi-na-đáp;from Judah, Nahshon son of Amminadab;

8chi phái Y-sa-ca, Na-tha-na-ên con trai Xu-a;from Issachar, Nethanel son of Zuar;

9chi phái Sa-bu-lôn, Ê-li-áp con trai Hê-lôn;from Zebulun, Eliab son of Helon;

10chi phái Ép-ra-im, con cháu của Giô-sép, có Ê-li-sa-ma con trai Am-mi-hút; chi phái Ma-na-se, Ga-ma-li-ên con trai Phê-đa-xu;from the sons of Joseph: from Ephraim, Elishama son of Ammihud, and from Manasseh, Gamaliel son of Pedahzur;

11chi phái Ben-gia-min, A-bi-đan con trai của Ghi-đê-ôn;from Benjamin, Abidan son of Gideoni;

12chi phái Đan, A-hi-ê-xe con trai của A-mi-sa-đai;from Dan, Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai;

13chi phái A-se, Pha-ghi-ên con trai của Ốc-ran;from Asher, Pagiel son of Ocran;

14chi phái Gát, Ê-li-a-sáp con trai Đê-u-ên;from Gad, Eliasaph son of Deuel;

15và chi phái Nép-ta-li, A-hi-ra con trai của Ê-nan.and from Naphtali, Ahira son of Enan.”

16Những người nam này được chỉ định từ trong dân. Họ là người lãnh đạo các thị tộc của cha ông mình. Họ là các tộc trưởng trong Y-sơ-ra-ên.These men were appointed from the congregation; they were the leaders of the tribes of their fathers, the heads of the clans of Israel.

17Môi-se và A-rôn tiếp nhận những người được nêu đích danh,So Moses and Aaron took these men who had been designated by name,

18và với những người này, họ tập hợp tất cả người nam trong Y-sơ-ra-ên vào ngày thứ nhất của tháng thứ nhì. Sau đó mỗi người nam từ hai mươi tuổi trở lên được nhập sổ theo dòng họ mình. Họ phải kể tên thị tộc và gia tộc từ thời tổ tiên mình.and on the first day of the second month they assembled the whole congregation and recorded their ancestry by clans and families, counting one by one the names of those twenty years of age or older,

19Vậy Môi-se thống kê dân số trong hoang mạc Si-nai, như Đức Giê-hô-va đã truyền cho ông.just as the LORD had commanded Moses. So Moses numbered them in the Wilderness of Sinai:

20Con cháu Ru-bên, trưởng nam của Y-sơ-ra-ên, tất cả người nam từ hai mươi tuổi trở lên có thể ra trận được thống kê theo tên cùng với thị tộc và gia tộc mình.From the sons of Reuben, the firstborn of Israel, according to the records of their clans and families, counting one by one the names of every male twenty years of age or older who could serve in the army,

21Chi phái Ru-bên có 46. 500 người nam.those registered to the tribe of Reuben numbered 46,500.

22Con cháu Si-mê-ôn, tất cả người nam từ hai mươi tuổi trở lên có thể ra trận được thống kê theo tên cùng với thị tộc và gia tộc mình.From the sons of Simeon, according to the records of their clans and families, counting one by one the names of every male twenty years of age or older who could serve in the army,

23Chi phái Si-mê-ôn có 59. 300 người nam.those registered to the tribe of Simeon numbered 59,300.

24Con cháu Gát, tất cả người nam từ hai mươi tuổi trở lên có thể ra trận được thống kê theo tên cùng với thị tộc và gia tộc mình.From the sons of Gad, according to the records of their clans and families, counting the names of all those twenty years of age or older who could serve in the army,

25Chi phái Gát có 45. 650 người nam.those registered to the tribe of Gad numbered 45,650.

26Con cháu Giu-đa, tất cả người nam từ hai mươi tuổi trở lên có thể ra trận được thống kê theo tên cùng với thị tộc và gia tộc mình.From the sons of Judah, according to the records of their clans and families, counting the names of all those twenty years of age or older who could serve in the army,

27Chi phái có 74. 600 người nam.those registered to the tribe of Judah numbered 74,600.

28Con cháu Y-sa-ca, tất cả người nam từ hai mươi tuổi trở lên có thể ra trận được thống kê theo tên cùng với thị tộc và gia tộc mình.From the sons of Issachar, according to the records of their clans and families, counting the names of all those twenty years of age or older who could serve in the army,

29Chi phái Y-sa-ca có 54. 400 người nam.those registered to the tribe of Issachar numbered 54,400.

30Con cháu Sa-bu-lôn, tất cả người nam từ hai mươi tuổi trở lên có thể ra trận được thống kê theo tên cùng với thị tộc và gia tộc mình.From the sons of Zebulun, according to the records of their clans and families, counting the names of all those twenty years of age or older who could serve in the army,

31Chi phái Sa-bu-lôn có 57. 400 người nam.those registered to the tribe of Zebulun numbered 57,400.

32Con cháu Ép-ra-im, con Giô-sép, tất cả người nam từ hai mươi tuổi trở lên có thể ra trận được thống kê theo tên cùng với thị tộc và gia tộc mình.From the sons of Joseph: From the sons of Ephraim, according to the records of their clans and families, counting the names of all those twenty years of age or older who could serve in the army,

33Chi phái Ép-ra-im có 40. 500 người nam.those registered to the tribe of Ephraim numbered 40,500.

34Con cháu Ma-na-se, con Giô-sép, tất cả người nam từ hai mươi tuổi trở lên có thể ra trận được thống kê theo tên cùng với thị tộc và gia tộc mình.And from the sons of Manasseh, according to the records of their clans and families, counting the names of all those twenty years of age or older who could serve in the army,

35Chi phái Ma-na-se có 32. 200 người nam.those registered to the tribe of Manasseh numbered 32,200.

36Con cháu Ben-gia-min, tất cả người nam từ hai mươi tuổi trở lên có thể ra trận được thống kê theo tên cùng với thị tộc và gia tộc mình.From the sons of Benjamin, according to the records of their clans and families, counting the names of all those twenty years of age or older who could serve in the army,

37Chi phái Ben-gia-min có 35. 400 người nam.those registered to the tribe of Benjamin numbered 35,400.

38Con cháu Đan, tất cả người nam từ hai mươi tuổi trở lên có thể ra trận được thống kê theo tên cùng với thị tộc và gia tộc mình.From the sons of Dan, according to the records of their clans and families, counting the names of all those twenty years of age or older who could serve in the army,

39Chi phái Đan có 62. 700 người nam.those registered to the tribe of Dan numbered 62,700.

40Con cháu A-se, tất cả người nam từ hai mươi tuổi trở lên có thể ra trận được thống kê theo tên cùng với thị tộc và gia tộc mình.From the sons of Asher, according to the records of their clans and families, counting the names of all those twenty years of age or older who could serve in the army,

41Chi phái A-se có 41. 500 người nam.those registered to the tribe of Asher numbered 41,500.

42Con cháu Nép-ta-li, tất cả người nam từ hai mươi tuổi trở lên có thể ra trận được thống kê theo tên cùng với thị tộc và gia tộc mình.From the sons of Naphtali, according to the records of their clans and families, counting the names of all those twenty years of age or older who could serve in the army,

43Chi phái Nép-ta-li có 53. 400 người nam.those registered to the tribe of Naphtali numbered 53,400.

44Môi-se và A-rôn cùng với mười hai trưởng chi phái của Y-sơ-ra-ên thống kê những người này.These were the men numbered by Moses and Aaron, with the assistance of the twelve leaders of Israel, each one representing his family.

45Vậy tất cả người nam trong Y-sơ-ra-ên từ hai mươi tuổi trở lên có thể ra trận được thống kê theo gia tộc mình.So all the Israelites twenty years of age or older who could serve in Israel’s army were counted according to their families.

46Tổng cộng có 603. 550 người.And all those counted totaled 603,550.

47Nhưng con cháu trong chi phái Lê-vi thì không được liệt kê,The Levites, however, were not numbered along with them by the tribe of their fathers.

48vì Đức Giê-hô-va có phán với Môi-se rằng,For the LORD had said to Moses:

49“Ngươi chớ thống kê chi phái Lê-vi hoặc liệt kê họ vào tổng số dân Y-sơ-ra-ên.“Do not number the tribe of Levi in the census with the other Israelites.

50Trái lại, hãy cử người Lê-vi lo việc chăm sóc đền tạm của giao ước, cùng mọi đồ đạc trong đền tạm và những thứ thuộc về nó. Họ phải coi sóc đền tạm và đóng trại xung quanh đó.Instead, you are to appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of the Testimony, all its furnishings, and everything in it. They shall carry the tabernacle and all its articles, care for it, and camp around it.

51Người Lê-vi phải tháo dỡ đền tạm khi cần di chuyển. Khi cần dựng đền tạm thì người Lê-vi phải dựng lên. Kẻ lạ mặt nào đến gần đền tạm sẽ bị xử tử.Whenever the tabernacle is to move, the Levites are to take it down, and whenever it is to be pitched, the Levites are to set it up. Any outsider who goes near it must be put to death.

52Khi dân Y-sơ-ra-ên dựng lều mình, không ai được đến quá gần ngọn cờ thuộc đơn vị vũ trang của mình.The Israelites are to camp by their divisions, each man in his own camp and under his own standard.

53Tuy nhiên, người Lê-vi phải dựng lều quanh đền tạm giao ước để Ta không nổi giận trên dân Y-sơ-ra-ên. Người Lê-vi phải coi sóc đền tạm giao ước.”But the Levites are to camp around the tabernacle of the Testimony and watch over it, so that no wrath will fall on the congregation of Israel. So the Levites are responsible for the tabernacle of the Testimony.”

54Dân Y-sơ-ra-ên thực thi tất cả những điều này y như Đức Giê-hô-va đã truyền cho Môi-se.Thus the Israelites did everything just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
