1 ULB Đức Giê-hô-va phán cùng Môi-se trong hoang mạc Si-nai, vào tháng giêng năm thứ nhì sau khi dân sự đã ra khỏi xứ Ai Cập. Ngài phán rằng, BSB BSB: In the first month of the second year after Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, the LORD spoke to Moses in the Wilderness of Sinai:
2 ULB “Hãy bảo dân Y-sơ-ra-ên giữ Lễ Vượt qua theo giờ đã định trong năm. BSB BSB: “The Israelites are to observe the Passover at its appointed time.
3 ULB Vào ngày mười bốn tháng này, lúc chạng vạng, các ngươi phải giữ Lễ Vượt qua theo thì giờ đã định. Các ngươi phải giữ Lễ Vượt qua, tuân thủ mọi quy định, và vâng giữ mọi luật lệ về lễ ấy.” BSB BSB: You are to observe it at the appointed time, at twilight on the fourteenth day of this month, in accordance with its statutes and ordinances.”
4 ULB Vậy, Môi-se bảo dân Y-sơ-ra-ên rằng họ phải giữ Lễ Vượt qua. BSB BSB: So Moses told the Israelites to observe the Passover,
5 ULB Như vậy, họ giữ Lễ Vượt qua vào tháng giêng, nhằm ngày mười bốn, lúc chạng vạng, trong hoang mạc Si-nai. Dân Y-sơ-ra-ên vâng theo mọi điều Đức Giê-hô-va đã truyền phải làm Môi-se. BSB BSB: and they did so in the Wilderness of Sinai, at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month. The Israelites did everything just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
6 ULB Có mấy người bị ô uế do đụng đến xác chết. Họ không thể giữ Lễ Vượt qua vào ngày đó. Họ đến gặp Môi-se và A-rôn ngay hôm ấy. BSB BSB: But there were some men who were unclean due to a dead body, so they could not observe the Passover on that day. And they came before Moses and Aaron that same day
7 ULB Họ thưa với Môi-se, “Chúng tôi bị ô uế vì đụng đến xác chết. Sao các ông không cho chúng tôi dâng lễ vật cho Đức Giê-hô-va theo giờ đã định với dân Y-sơ-ra-ên?” BSB BSB: and said to Moses, “We are unclean because of a dead body, but why should we be excluded from presenting the LORD’s offering with the other Israelites at the appointed time?”
8 ULB Môi-se trả lời, “Hãy đợi tôi hỏi ý Đức Giê-hô-va về trường hợp của các ông.” BSB BSB: “Wait here until I find out what the LORD commands concerning you,” Moses replied.
9 ULB Đức Giê-hô-va phán cùng Môi-se, BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to Moses,
10 ULB “Hãy nói với dân Y-sơ-ra-ên rằng, ‘Nếu có ai giữa các ngươi hoặc con cháu các ngươi bị ô uế vì đụng đến xác chết, hoặc đang đi đường xa, thì người vẫn có thể giữ Lễ Vượt qua cho Đức Giê-hô-va.’ BSB BSB: “Tell the Israelites: ‘When any one of you or your descendants is unclean because of a dead body, or is away on a journey, he may still observe the Passover to the LORD.
11 ULB Họ phải giữ Lễ Vượt qua vào ngày mười bốn tháng hai lúc chạng vạng. Họ phải ăn với bánh không men và rau đắng. BSB BSB: Such people are to observe it at twilight on the fourteenth day of the second month. They are to eat the lamb, together with unleavened bread and bitter herbs;
12 ULB Không được chừa lại thứ gì đến sáng hôm sau cũng không được làm gãy xương của con vật. Họ phải giữ các luật lệ về Lễ Vượt qua. BSB BSB: they may not leave any of it until morning or break any of its bones. They must observe the Passover according to all its statutes.
13 ULB Nhưng ai tinh sạch và không bận đi xa, lại không giữ Lễ Vượt qua, người đó sẽ bị loại khỏi dân sự mình vì không dâng lễ vật theo yêu cầu của Đức Giê-hô-va vào đúng thời gian đã định. Người sẽ mang lấy tội lỗi mình. BSB BSB: But if a man who is ceremonially clean and is not on a journey still fails to observe the Passover, he must be cut off from his people, because he did not present the LORD’s offering at its appointed time. That man will bear the consequences of his sin.
14 ULB Nếu một khách lạ sống giữa các ngươi và giữ Lễ Vượt qua vì tôn kính Đức Giê-hô-va, người phải giữ Lễ và làm mọi điều Ngài truyền, tuân thủ các quy tắc của Lễ Vượt qua, và giữ luật lệ liên quan. Người ngoại quốc và tất cả những ai sinh ra trong xứ ngươi phải giữ luật lệ tương tự.” BSB BSB: If a foreigner dwelling among you wants to observe the Passover to the LORD, he is to do so according to the Passover statute and its ordinances. You are to apply the same statute to both the foreigner and the native of the land.’”
15 ULB Trong ngày dựng đền tạm, mây bao phủ đền tạm, tức lều chứa các bảng giao ước. Vào buổi chiều, mây phủ như lửa trên đền tạm cho đến sáng. BSB BSB: On the day that the tabernacle, the Tent of the Testimony, was set up, the cloud covered it and appeared like fire above the tabernacle from evening until morning.
16 ULB Quang cảnh đó cứ tiếp diễn như vậy. Mây phủ đền tạm và tựa như lửa vào ban đêm. BSB BSB: It remained that way continually; the cloud would cover the tabernacle by day, and at night it would appear like fire.
17 ULB Hễ khi nào mây được cất lên khỏi lều, dân Y-sơ-ra-ên sẽ lên đường. Hễ mây dừng lại ở nơi nào, dân sự sẽ hạ trại tại đó. BSB BSB: Whenever the cloud was lifted from above the Tent, the Israelites would set out, and wherever the cloud settled, there the Israelites would camp.
18 ULB Theo lệnh của Đức Giê-hô-va, dân Y-sơ-ra-ên di chuyển, và theo lệnh của Ngài, họ sẽ hạ trại. Họ sẽ ở lại trại mình trong lúc mây phủ trên đền tạm. BSB BSB: At the LORD’s command the Israelites set out, and at the LORD’s command they camped. As long as the cloud remained over the tabernacle, they remained encamped.
19 ULB Khi mây phủ trên đền tạm lâu ngày, dân Y-sơ-ra-ên cũng tuân theo sự hướng dẫn của Đức Giê-hô-va, không đi đâu cả. BSB BSB: Even when the cloud lingered over the tabernacle for many days, the Israelites kept the LORD’s charge and did not set out.
20 ULB Đôi khi mây phủ trên đền tạm chỉ vài ngày. Khi đó, họ sẽ tuân lệnh của Đức Giê-hô-va– họ nhổ trại và đi tiếp theo lệnh của Ngài. BSB BSB: Sometimes the cloud remained over the tabernacle for only a few days, and they would camp at the LORD’s command and set out at the LORD’s command.
21 ULB Có khi mây dừng trại từ chiều tối đến sáng. Sáng hôm sau, khi đám mây cất lên, họ lại nhổ trại lên đường. Bất kể mây dừng lại một hay hai ngày, họ cũng ở lại, và họ chỉ đi tiếp khi nào mây được cất lên. BSB BSB: Sometimes the cloud remained only from evening until morning, and when it lifted in the morning, they would set out. Whether it was by day or by night, when the cloud was taken up, they would set out.
22 ULB Nếu mây phủ trên đền tạm trong hai ngày, một tháng, hay một năm, hoặc lâu hơn, dân Y-sơ-ra-ên cũng sẽ ở trong trại mình và không đi đâu cả. Nhưng hễ khi nào đám mây được cất lên, họ sẽ lại lên đường. BSB BSB: Whether the cloud lingered for two days, a month, or longer, the Israelites camped and did not set out as long as the cloud remained over the tabernacle; but when it was lifted, they would set out.
23 ULB Họ hạ trại theo lệnh của Đức Giê-hô-va, và họ lên đường theo lệnh của Ngài. Họ vâng phục mệnh lệnh Đức Giê-hô-va phán qua Môi-se. BSB BSB: They camped at the LORD’s command, and they set out at the LORD’s command; they carried out the LORD’s charge according to His command through Moses.
