The Table of Nations (1 Chronicles 1:4–27)
1 WBS Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah; Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and to them were sons born after the flood. BSB BSB: This is the account of Noah’s sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, who also had sons after the flood.
The Japhethites 2 WBS The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras. BSB BSB: The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.
3 WBS And the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah. BSB BSB: The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.
4 WBS And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim. BSB BSB: And the sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittites, and the Rodanites.
5 WBS By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations. BSB BSB: From these, the maritime peoples separated into their territories, according to their languages, by clans within their nations.
The Hamites 6 WBS And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan. BSB BSB: The sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.
7 WBS And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha; and the sons of Raamah, Sheba, and Dedan. BSB BSB: The sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.
8 WBS And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. BSB BSB: Cush was the father of Nimrod, who began to be a mighty one on the earth.
9 WBS He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD. BSB BSB: He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; so it is said, “Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before the LORD.”
10 WBS And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. BSB BSB: His kingdom began in Babylon, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
11 WBS Out of that land went forth Ashur, and built Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah, BSB BSB: From that land he went forth into Assyria, where he built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah,
12 WBS And Resen between Nineveh and Calah: the same is a great city. BSB BSB: and Resen, which is between Nineveh and the great city of Calah.
13 WBS And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim. BSB BSB: Mizraim was the father of the Ludites, the Anamites, the Lehabites, the Naphtuhites,
14 WBS And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (out of whom came Philistim,) and Caphtorim. BSB BSB: the Pathrusites, the Casluhites (from whom the Philistines came), and the Caphtorites.
15 WBS And Canaan begat Sidon his first-born, and Heth, BSB BSB: And Canaan was the father of Sidon his firstborn, and of the Hittites,
16 WBS And the Jebusite, and the Emorite, and the Girgasite, BSB BSB: the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites,
17 WBS And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite, BSB BSB: the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites,
18 WBS And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite: and afterward were the families of the Canaanites dispersed. BSB BSB: the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. Later the Canaanite clans were scattered,
19 WBS And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to Gerar, to Gaza; as thou goest to Sodom and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, even to Lashah. BSB BSB: and the borders of Canaan extended from Sidon toward Gerar as far as Gaza, and then toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha.
20 WBS These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations. BSB BSB: These are the sons of Ham according to their clans, languages, lands, and nations.
The Semites 21 WBS To Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, even to him were children born. BSB BSB: And sons were also born to Shem, the older brother of Japheth; Shem was the forefather of all the sons of Eber.
22 WBS The children of Shem; Elam, and Ashur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram. BSB BSB: The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram.
23 WBS And the children of Aram; Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash. BSB BSB: The sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.
24 WBS And Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber. BSB BSB: Arphaxad was the father of Shelah, and Shelah was the father of Eber.
25 WBS And to Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg, for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan. BSB BSB: Two sons were born to Eber: One was named Peleg, because in his days the earth was divided, and his brother was named Joktan.
26 WBS And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah, BSB BSB: And Joktan was the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,
27 WBS And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah. BSB BSB: Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,

29 WBS And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were the sons of Joktan. BSB BSB: Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were sons of Joktan.
30 WBS And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest to Sephar, a mount of the east. BSB BSB: Their territory extended from Mesha to Sephar, in the eastern hill country.
31 WBS These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations. BSB BSB: These are the sons of Shem, according to their clans, languages, lands, and nations.
32 WBS These are the families of the sons of Noah after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood. BSB BSB: All these are the clans of Noah’s sons, according to their generations and nations. From these the nations of the earth spread out after the flood.
