4 WYC Generacioun and generacioun schal preise thi werkis; and thei schulen pronounse thi power. BSB BSB: One generation will commend Your works to the next, and will proclaim Your mighty acts—
5 WYC Thei schulen speke `the greet doyng of the glorie of thin holynesse; and thei schulen telle thi merueils. BSB BSB: the glorious splendor of Your majesty. And I will meditate on Your wondrous works.
6 WYC And thei schulen seye the vertu of thi ferdful thingis; and thei schulen telle thi greetnesse. BSB BSB: They will proclaim the power of Your awesome deeds, and I will declare Your greatness.
7 WYC Thei schulen bringe forth the mynde of the abundaunce of thi swetnesse; and thei schulen telle with ful out ioiyng thi riytfulnesse. BSB BSB: They will extol the fame of Your abundant goodness and sing joyfully of Your righteousness.
8 WYC The Lord is a merciful doere, and merciful in wille; paciente, and myche merciful. BSB BSB: The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in loving devotion.
9 WYC The Lord is swete in alle thingis; and hise merciful doyngis ben on alle hise werkis. BSB BSB: The LORD is good to all; His compassion rests on all He has made.
10 WYC Lord, alle thi werkis knouleche to thee; and thi seyntis blesse thee. BSB BSB: All You have made will give You thanks, O LORD, and Your saints will bless You.
11 WYC Thei schulen seie the glorie of thi rewme; and thei schulen speke thi power. BSB BSB: They will tell of the glory of Your kingdom and speak of Your might,
12 WYC That thei make thi power knowun to the sones of men; and the glorie of the greetnesse of thi rewme. BSB BSB: to make known to men Your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of Your kingdom.
13 WYC Thi rewme is the rewme of alle worldis; and thi lordschipe is in al generacioun and in to generacioun. The Lord is feithful in alle hise wordis; and hooli in alle hise werkis. BSB BSB: Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is faithful in all His words and kind in all His actions.
14 WYC The Lord liftith vp alle that fallen doun; and reisith alle men hurtlid doun. BSB BSB: The LORD upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.
15 WYC Lord, the iyen of alle beestis hopen in thee; and thou yyuest the mete of hem in couenable tyme. BSB BSB: The eyes of all look to You, and You give them their food in season.
16 WYC Thou openest thin hond; and thou fillist ech beeste with blessing. BSB BSB: You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.
17 WYC The Lord is iust in alle hise weies; and hooli in alle hise werkis. BSB BSB: The LORD is righteous in all His ways and kind in all His deeds.
18 WYC The Lord is niy to alle that inwardli clepen him; to alle that inwardli clepen him in treuthe. BSB BSB: The LORD is near to all who call on Him, to all who call out to Him in truth.
19 WYC He schal do the wille of hem, that dreden him, and he schal here the biseching of hem; and he schal make hem saaf. BSB BSB: He fulfills the desires of those who fear Him; He hears their cry and saves them.
20 WYC The Lord kepith alle men louynge him; and he schal leese alle synners. BSB BSB: The LORD preserves all who love Him, but all the wicked He will destroy.
21 WYC Mi mouth schal speke the heriyng of the Lord; and ech man blesse his hooli name in to the world, and in to the world of world. BSB BSB: My mouth will declare the praise of the LORD; let every creature bless His holy name forever and ever.
